I dislike Yu-gi-oh as a game. Its almost always You run this type of deck or you cant compete. Sometimes its dragon, sometimes its demons, buts its always something.

As such, I much prefer magic the gathering and to a lesser extent Wow TGC. While there are some OP stuff, ever colour can always beat every other colour and they all work in different ways.
this thread is really to help me fine tune my deck I always make decks which I can make and then improve by trail and error and trading also I played the magic the gathering arcade game and it was really fun. also I rarely go for archetypes I only go for types (like psychic or beast) or strategies.

From experience, while building decks like this are nice for casual games, much like multi colour magic decks while Time spiral was the latest set were fun to play, but realistically the moment anyone brings in even a half serious deck to use you might as well have spent your time and money collecting toilet paper.

I am trying to make this a serious deck and I have reduced the numbers from the card limit (60) to 42 which is only 2 above the card limit so that my good combos and cards are on the field quickly.

My deck is basically made up of mostly female monsters, dragons and beasts.

I hate any other monsters to be honest. I mostly use magic cards, since I consider alot of trap cards cheating >__>

Outmoded.
The card is only ever run in Burn decks now, and those are rarely seen.

Make sure you have "Flute of Summoning Dragon" to use with a "Lord of Dragons".

You can't beat special summoning 2 dragons from your hand to the field without penalty ;)
Oh my god, that trick brings back memories.

OT: From what you posted it sounds good. Keep with it.

Though I mainly use a Light and Dark Attribute deck.

I would say F.G.D., Stardust Dragon, and Red Dragon Archfiend. Stardust will help you hold off destruction effects while you build up your field, and Red Dragon Archfiend will help you knock away their defenses when you have them on the ropes.

My personal deck is kind of a mash-up, it has no real plan other than preventing my opponent from doing much. I use Neo-Spacien Grand Mole to bounce high level monsters back to my opponent's hand, cards like Tribe Infecting Virus to counter type-based decks, and a couple copies of Scrap Iron Scarecrow to stop attacks. My favorite way to win however is using cards like Robbin' Goblin to empty my opponent's hand, then attacking with Yaya-Garasu, making it so they skip their draw phase. Nothing says you lose like going 5 turns without being able to draw a card.

This thread brings back memories...

I have my deck somewhere around here, sadly I can't find it at the moment.

But as for an archetype, well the closest would be the Archfiend Monsters. I had all of them in my deck.

I didn't really have a type. Makes me less predictable that way ;)

I don't use many either.
My standard play style uses a Royal Decree engine.

Saying they're cheating is taking it a bit far though.
Care to explain why you think that?

This might be a cheap tactic, but it's a good one. I highly recommend you get a few more low-level monsters so you can summon higher-level ones more easily. Make sure to get Polymerization and at least three Blue-Eyes Whites, and have a Blue-Eyes Ultimate in your Fusion Deck. Get at least two Monster Reborns, very useful in a pinch, and several Horn Of The Unicorn cards, very useful for boosting the low-level monsters that I mentioned before (plus hey're returned to your deck when sent to the Graveyard, so you won't lose one by tributing the monster equipped with it, thus allowing you to severely overpower your Dragons with no real cost).

That's my usual strategy, albeit without as many Dragons and focusing a bit more on using Trap cards to bluff my way to victory, but it definitely works well. Although to be fair I only play in the videogames now, rather than the game with real cards against other humans...

Yeah...
Two Monster Reborn. That'll be useful, considering you cant run more then one copy of the card in a deck ;-]

Horn of the Unicorn can backfire heavily, leading to dead draws.
Running three Blue-eyes with Polymerisation... well, good luck using that every duel.

Since when does bluffing with traps work against computers anyway?

one, mixing that with prime material dragon is stupid, two, my favorite trap to use is defensive draw, no damage and a free card (win fricken win).

Because some trap cards alot of people use are horribly overpowered. I've never been a fan of that and thats why I lost alot of tournaments.

Its always people with no strong monsters or spells and then WHAM kills me with one powerful trap cards. It drives me crazy
