For the first time, Gary was actually afraid, he didn't know much about what happened between Chuck and these gooks but he knew that they weren't bluffing about killing him.

"Awright awright! I'll spill so chill out. Our headquarters is at Wade's Water Fixture Emporium. However, it won't do you much good, Our boss 'll kill you before you even know you're dead!" Gary giggled at the thought of the Boss carving up these kids.

"EhehehehAHAHAHAHA! You're not gonna survive in this world kiddies! Better just hand over the ***** and go on about your lives! Cus we won't stop comin till you're dead! Dead! DEAD! AHAHAHAHA!" Gary had gone into a fit of hysteria. "Shien! Son of the mighty Hiei! IS GONNA CARVE YOU ALL A NEW ASSHOLE!!!"

Bleu winced at being called a ***** and started tearing up. "Pleassssse don't call me that..." she murmured.

"Huh? What was that? Did the ***** say something? Don't worry about anything *****, You'll be back in your place soon enough! BACK IN THE WHOREHOUSE WHERE YOU BELONG!!!" Gary screamed at Bleu.

At this outburst, Bleu burst into tears. Absolutely bawling on the floor. Jason quickly walked over to her and hugged her, as if to shield her from Gary's vile words. "Comon, lets get you out of here." He whispered softly to her. He helped her up and led her out of the room. He looked back to the others with a glare that said Do with him what you want, I don't care what happens to him. ....

Lina grit her teeth, balling her hands into fists in anger. Before she knew it, she had struck the evil demon across the face, seething with rage.

"She might be a demon," Lina hissed, "But I know for a fact that she's a better person than you."

Nearby objects began to tremble violently, animated by Lina's power and her rage.

Isn't someone meant to play the good cop...? Sonny thought to himself. So far every one of his classmates had stepped up to fill the role of "bad cop", which was all well and good, but honestly Sonny didn't like the way this was going. Gary was an evil man, no doubt about it, and were it not for the intervention of Damien, Alex and the rest he would undoubtably have killed Sonny and Bleu; but still, what the gang were discussing was brutal, and would make them no better than him.

After the first punch, Sonny stepped forward, placing himself between Jack and Gary, and closed his hands around Jack's fist. His first thought was that this was very ungrateful - Jack had helped to save his life, and now Sonny was depriving him of a beating he'd certainly earned - but to Sonny, it just didn't seem right to slaughter an unarmed opponent, and he couldn't stand back and let it happen, no matter how horrible he was.

"Stop," Sonny mumbled, looking into Jack's eyes. "We've won. We don't need to do this." Sonny turned around and addressed Gary. "You're scum. There's no doubt that you deserve to be beaten so badly you're unrecognizable to your closest relatives. But... it isn't our place to do that."

Sonny turned back to the group. "We should contact whoever we work for and inform them that we've apprehended a criminal, and that they need to be taken in. After all... we're spirit detectives, right?"

This had sealed it. This whole debacle with Bleu and Gary had left no doubt in Sonny's mind; he couldn't allow injustice to happen, and the weak to suffer. Sonny was a good person, and if he could prevent bad things from happening like he had today, then he would do so. It was like yesterday; Alex, Damien and the rest had seen him in danger and had aided him. Well, now Sonny had the opportunity to be the one aiding people in need, and - knowing what it was like to be on the other end of the arrangement - he knew it was his duty as a human being to take this oppurtunity.

Sonny was a spirit detective, through and through.

Damien looked down coldly at the demon. "Shien? Who the fuck is 'e? I don't care if he's the son o' Satan 'imself. I'll take 'im on- and I'll win. It doesn't matter who 'is daddy is- only measure of strength is what ya grab with yer own 'ands." Damien pressed his knee on Gary's chest and put pressure on it, obscuring Gary's view of his own chest. "Well, Gary, guess what? You told us where yer boss was. If ya 'ad left it at that, ya would've lived. However, you tried t' push yer luck 'n insulted a friend o' mine. So you die. Quickly, but yer gonna die." Damien presses his left hand against Gary's chest and tried to summon on of his explosives. He only had one hand, so all he could create was a volatile swirl of energy. "Feel that movement on yer gut? That's the start o' the same explosive that created the crater in the wall I showed ya. Bet'cha it's burnin' now, ain't it? I'm only usin' one hand, so it's gonna be a little longer before I fully form the sphere. Don't worry though- More time t' reflect on yer crimes, right?"

Gary began to struggle. "N-No, please! You want money? I can get you money. How about power? I can give you more power than you've ever dreamed of! No? I know- you seem like the kind of man who enjoys his women, right? We have a full whorehouse- It's yours, just don't kill me!" Damien's smirk slid off his face like rainwater off a window. "The same whorehouse ya just threatened to send Bleu t'? Mate, I felt sorry fer ya right up t' that point. Too bad I don't now. Hope ya said yer prayers, buddy." Gary began to writhe, trying to escape the burning sensation on his stomach and the inexhorable fate of death looming over him. "P-Please, I'll give you anything you want, just don't kill me!" Tears and snot streamed down Gary's face into one stream. "Say hey t' the devil fer me, mate! Goodbye!" Damien exploded the sphere. Because he didn't use two hands, Damien wasn't able to keep it stable or put any kind of strength into it. It detonated rather harmlessly, but it was like a deathblow for Gary. The once- proud demon was blown into unconsciousness by his own fear. Damien checked for a pulse, nodding to himself when he found it. "Congrats mate- th' one man who could save yer life spoke up in favor of ya." Damien muttered to Gary's unconscious body. He stood up, wiping his hands on a nearby towel. "Anybody got a saw or somethin'? I feel like collectin' demon horns now." He grinned before turning back to the matter at hand. "All right- Wade's Water Emporium. Check. Anyone got Botan's number or somethin' t' contact 'er with?"

Botan watched the whole scene unfold from the standpoint of a ghost. Even she balled her fist at Gary's remarks.

"Anyone got Botan's number or somethin' t' contact 'er with?" Damien asked the group.

Botan grinned a bit as she rematerialized into the Classroom. "No need to find me, i've been here the whole time!" She laughed as she summoned her oar and floated above Gary's unconscious body. "I'll take him back to Spirit World for questioning. We'll punish him with every means at our disposal you have my word about that." Botan assured the group. "If I were you, I'd head home and rest, you all have had a long day, what with dying and being resurrected and all. Plus, School is about over anyways." Botan pointed to the clock, which was surprisingly still intact. The time was 2:30 PM, 30 minutes until the bell rang to leave.

She pointed at Gary and his body began glowing purple. She lifted her finger and Gary was levitated into the air. "I will see you all tomorrow!" Botan called to the group as she and Gary phased back into the Spirit Realm.

Sandbox mode activated. As with the last time we adjourned from class, you all are given free reign over where the rest of the day takes you. I will set the date of the next plot movement to be 5 days from the posting of this message.

Happy Writing!

Lina frowned at the thought of letting the guy go unharmed, but felt herself cooling down anyway. She thought back the the Spirit Egg - which was now physically in her pocket - and remembered what she had been told about her actions guiding the creature inside the egg.

It all sounded so strange... but considering what she had been through so far...

Lina grabbed her things and left the classroom, hurrying down to catch a bus home. As she did, however, she suddenly realized that her developing psychic powers were letting her hear more than she wanted to, as she could now hear the voices of the people around her.

Ah man, I hate having to do all this homework, especially after the break...

Where is he? We're gonna be late for our club meeting...

Psh. Look at that girl in the rumpled clothes. What a loser...

Lina panicked and shut her eyes tight, trying desperately to block out the voices in her head...

Makeitstopmakeitstopmakeitstopmakeitstop...

"Hey, are you alright?"

Blinking, Lina opened her eyes to see one of the teachers looking at her, concerned.

"Y-yeah, I'm alright, I just need a moment." She said quickly, then hurried down the hall and into the girl's bathroom, taking the time to catch her breath.

Having powers wasn't all it was cracked up to be...

I'm gonna be on vacation for the next week, so hopefully, you guys can move it along without me.

God damn, I knew I forgot to tell the GM in one of my RP's. There recently was a flash-storm in my neighborhood and I was caught out in it. To make a long story short, I was impaled by a tree branch, am in the hospital, and only have my iPod to post from. Sorry I did t say- I dislike burdening others. Anyway, No lethal/crippling injuries (yay) but posting is gonna be a bit skimpy until I'm released. Sorry.

Bleu's bawling simmered down to a mere whimper as Jason held her tightly. He saw the rest of his crew come out of the demolished classroom.

"Perhaps we should relocate to the Starbucks, I believe we need to discuss just what happened today, just to make sure everyone's on the same page, as well as figure out what we're gonna do with Bleu here." Jason suggested to the group.

"Well, might be best to plan." Angelo said in reply to Jason's suggestion. He was pretty sure that he knew what was going on, but Gary did seem like he was losing his mind a bit, and that made Angelo think whether he was talking babble or not. It sounded like he worshipped this Shien, and possibly the parent of this person "The mighty Hiei". Either way, they had a lot of confidence in this person, and Gary didn't exactly seem to be a cakewalk. Heck, he was almost hysterical when talking about him. Whoever Shien was, he had to be strong and powerful.

Right, all sorted, Posts will now be more frequent. Again, I'm so sorry.

Yay! This is my "hospital dischage" post. I'm so freakin' glad I got out!
Also, story must continue normally. That is all.

Damien shrugged as the group walked towards Starbucks. "She's gotta stay with one of us. Sooner or later, the demons are gonna get smart 'n decide t' attack 'er when one o' us ain't around. Jack left already, so we can't ask 'im, and Alex is DQ'ed because he seems to have problems whenever someone stays over. Unless I'm wrong." Damien turned to Alex as he said this, then shrugged. " I don't care if she stays with me, since most o' the time I'm home alone or my dad doesn't care, and my sis just went t' college so we have an free room. That bein' said, Bleu has t' stay with one o' the combat focused o' us, t' buy time until everyone else gets there. That leaves me, Jason, Jack, or Lina, if ya wanna stay with another woman. It's yer choice." Damien addressed this last part to Bleu. Damien then turned to everyone else. "I reckon we just gotta hold down the fort until tomorrow, when Botan comes back with help. If possible, I would like us all t' see this Genkai person, swe if we can't get stronger or somethin' before we go t' Wade's. I ain't afraid of some pansy who has gotta hide behind his daddy's name, but I am afraid of bein' ganged up on and not having enough energy to fight 'em all off."

Weather he noticed or not; as Damien turned to where he thought Alex was, Alex was not there...

...

Back in the classroom...

Alex hadn't moved from his position face down on the floor for some time. Actually he was taking a short nap right where he had fallen and if someone listened really carefully they might just hear his slight snoring.

But that wasn't to last much longer. Alex snorted for a moment as he came to. Alex took a moment to take stalk of the situation. He still didn't feel anywhere close to top shape, but he felt enough of his strength returning so that he could breath just fine and even move; if not too fast.

Without even moving though he could tell that the room felt empty, silent. An empty classroom had a certain kind of silence that didn't quite fit anywhere else. Off in the distance a group of students practiced football tackles with vocal but distant cries.

Alex could only laugh a bit weakly. "They left me." He said as he got to his feet slowly. "They all left me here." Still, he couldn't exactly blame them. While Alex was probably big and muscled enough to carry any of the other kids in the group, it would be quite a joke watching them try to move the large jock at all. Alex could only laugh again.

Besides, Alex had something else on his mind. Slowly Alex walked over to where he had trapped the demon and looked at the floor. Papers were scattered everywhere from when Alex's bag had broken open. "What a mess. I don't even remember what some of these are."

Spotting the backpack itself Alex retrieved it only to find that it seemed to have been blown open from within complete with rips, tares, and scorch marks. Clearly it wasn't going to be doing any more carrying. "Oh man, Mom is going to kill me."

But what Alex had actually been looking for was easy to find. Among the papers, one stood out. Alex picked up the paper that had previously shed light like a neon sign. Now though, the paper was blackened and crumbled at the touch as though burnt away. Alex had no doubt that there would be no more use from this particular sheet.

So now what? Alex somehow knew that unlike the others his own power was somehow tied to that paper and now it was gone. But he would still need to use that power to be a spirit detective. So now what indeed? Well, Alex figured he would just have to make a new paper. Except that he still didn't know how. He barely even had concrete memories of making that one at all. Alex quickly stared at what was left of the blackened markings even as the paper continued to dissolve away. He would need to remember whatever he could for later.

Once the paper was totally gone, blown away on the wind, Alex took a deep breath and stretched his arms for a moment. Even with just this time passed he was starting to feel a little better. With that Alex kneeled down and started to gather up the rest of his scattered belongings. He would definitely need to get a new backpack too.

"Yep, Mom is definitely going to kill me."

Jason, Damien, and Bleu all walked into the Starbucks. The place was actually fairly empty, only the clerks and a young couple were around. The group picked a table and sat down.

"Alright, let me see if I have this all straight. We were all killed then resurrected, attacked by another demon, and found out the location of their headquarters. We've also been employed by some celestial body called Spirit world in order to keep the world safe from demons. And now, we've got to rally together and storm the enemy stronghold and wipe them out. Anyone else feel like we're a bit under-prepared for this shit? I mean, we JUST got our powers. I haven't been able to form my shield since that incident in the alley. So yeah, i don't think we should rush this by any means. What do you think Damien?" Jason explained.

Damien counted off on his fingers. Everyone else had gone home- except for Alex, but Damien nearly got a hernia trying to move the oaf, so he could walk his own ass home. "Yeah, I reckon ya got everything there. I think if we really wanna storm the place we can strap ya t' the hood of my Ford, burn rubber fer the wall and see if you can make a shield then- life or death seems to activate powers the best, though it did take me a week to finally control the explosive sphere after I first released it." Grana chuckled. " I really gotta name the damn thing- callin' it 'Explosive Sphere' the whole damn time is annoying. And Spirit Bomb is outta the question." Damien fanned the air with his hand, as if he could somehow wave away a train of thought. "But back on track, I agree with ya. We need t' find Botan again so we all c'n go find this Genkai person and get stronger, just in case. We also need a way t' get in the building, and just throwing a bomb at the wall 'n rushin' in ain't gonna work. We also gotta be able t' do this in one go, 'cause if they're anything like gangs back home, they'll just turn tail and hole up for a bit before comin' back in full force. We need a way to contact Botan, tell 'er to kill us again so we c'n train with their 'godly teacher.' "

Jason Chuckled at Damien's suggestion. "Well Koenma said he would send Botan here tomorrow with some equipment I think. So I guess we gotta wait til tomorrow rolls around before we can begin planning." Jason replied, though something glowing out of the corner of his eye was bothering him. He looked over and saw that his bandage around his scar was unwrapping. "Urk!" Jason yelped as he frantically rewound the cloth around the scar.

"What about me?" Bleu interjected, "I kind of need to ssstay with one of you guysss incassse another one of thossse goonsss desssidesss to attack me again. Damien, didn't you sssay that you had a ssspare room at your houssse earlier?" Bleu asked.

Once Xero and I finish this conversation, I shall advance the plot. I kinda get the feeling that you're getting bored. Sorry about that.

Damien looked at Jason's arm. "Well. Speak o' the devil 'n he comes. Maybe yer power just comes with a really long recharge time, like how Alex's seems to nearly kill him from exhaustion, or mine, how it seems to require both hands t' stablize. Seems all o' our powers come with some 'efty drawback or catch o' some sort." Damien turned to Bleu. "Yeah. My dad shouldn't be home tonight, so no-one 'll be around t' ask any awkward questions. Anyway, let's go. Th' sooner today ends, the quicker tomorrow comes, the faster I c'n do doughnuts with my car in the parking lot with Wade's Water Emporium burnin' in the background. C'mon Bleu, I need t' go grab my car." Damien stood up and started to walk out the Starbucks, clapping Jason on the shoulder. "See ya tomorrow, mate."

Damien walked back to the school, whistling, with Bleu at his side. Finally the two reached the school, where Damien took out his keys and opened up his black Ford. "you can 'ave the Ford in any color, so long as it's black." Damien chuckled as he took a foot up on the school wall and hoisted himself up, trying to peer into their classroom. Seeing no-one there, Damien guessed Alex had already woken up and gone home. "Too bad... I was gonna offer 'I'm a ride home if 'e wanted one." Damien dropped down and slid into the driver's seat of his car, where he found Bleu waiting for him already. "Sorry 'bout that- I wanted t' see if Alex was gonna need a ride as well." Damien started the car and began the drive home, thankfully empty of bloodthirsty demons. The two arrived at Damien's house. " 'Ere we are. Make yerself comfortable." Damien smirked as he saw Bleu's face. His house, while not being massive, was larger than your average house in the suburbs. "What? Were ya expectin' some kinda ramshackle hovel from how I speak? I will admit, it's a lot nicer than my old house, though." Damien pulled out his keys and opened the front door. " Alright, make yerself at 'ome. The bedroom is... Here," Damien said while opening his sister's room, "and she has a bathroom annexed t' her room 'cause she wanted some privacy. It's the door right behind 'er closet." A large German Shepherd walked into the room and cocked his head sideways at Bleu. "And this is Logan. You don't really have t' worry 'bout 'im too much, but if he comes into yer room, just give 'em a scratch behind the ears 'n he'll melt like butter. Food's in the kitchen if yer hungry, 'n I sleep a door down the hall, so if anything happens I'm right 'ere. I think that's about it. G'night Bleu. C'mon, Logan." Damien clapped his hands as he walked into his room and flopped down on his bed, barely pausing to change into nightclothes. Logan loped after Damien and jumped up on the bed, curling at Damien's feet. Damien was asleep the moment be felt the reassuring wall of dog press against his feet.
