Strange events are happening in Danmour, a small, quiet town about thirty miles Northwest of New York City. A small group of its Highschoolers are claiming to see monsters and demons. These teenagers are the first generation of spiritually aware people to develop in twenty years. However, for unknown reasons, these rare people all attend the same school.

The last generation ended when Yusuke Urameshi was killed in his own martial arts tournament in Demon World by an extremely powerful demon. This tournament, held once every three or four years to determine the shift of control in Demon World, was dissolved as the Demon's first act in power. This demon's name was Yami. Not much is known about his origins other than he has an extreme hatred for mankind and a fetish for bloodshed.

King Enma, leader of Spirit World (The Realm in charge of sorting out humans and demons when they die) immediately sprang into action and reconstructed the barrier between the Demon World and Human World. This barrier keeps all but the weakest demons from entering the Human World. Even so, this barrier does not prevent low class demons and ghouls from slipping past the barrier and into the Human world. It just so happens that the most convienient place to slip through is on the outskirts of Danmour.

It is the duty of these Spiritually Aware teens to beat back the demons that are invading their town, cut off the source, and save the world. Along the way, they will make new allies, find old veterans, wield powerful artifacts, and harness their spiritual powers to defend their friends, family, and themselves.

I Will be looking for 7-8 able bodied Spirit Detectives before i can even think about starting this journey.

Name: Self Explanitory

Age: Highschool range

Description: Tell us what your character looks like.

Power: Each of the players can have their own unique ability. However, since we are just now awakening to our powers, all of our abilities will be limited to their most basic form and will evolve as your character grows stronger and gains experience with it. All power in Yu Yu Hakusho is classified into one of five categories based on Letters. S-A-B-C-D. S being the most powerful class and D being the weakest. Everyone's power will start off as D-Class, however, no one will be able to obtain S-Class abilities, they will be reserved to NPCs controlled or cleared by me. SO! Everyone will have to plan the progression of their power, list the four stages of your power here. Remember to not be too Overpowered in the beginning.

Bio: Tell us about your character. Where is he/she from? What do they act like? Stuff like that.

Other: Miscellaneous info that you would like us to know about your character.

S-class - Someone who's Spiritual Energy is through the roof And is nigh invincible save for maybe a single crack in his armor. Their abilities are honed to a fine science and have evolved their techniques to their deadliest forms. NOTE: S-Class enemies will be controlled only by me.

A-class - Someone who has extremely high Spiritual energy. People with A-Class power are not to be take lightly. Their powers are fully developed and are in peak condition. They have full control over their abilities and know when to use them best. It takes a long time to achieve this level of power.

B-class - Someone Who has high Spiritual power. B-Class means that your powers are still not fully developed and are still subject to set-backs. Your skills are hindered only by your lack of knowledge of what they are truly capable of.

C-class - Someone of Moderate Spiritual power. C-class You are now accustomed to your powers and now are able to develop your own techniques. Your degree of control is greater than that of a D-Class, thus making you able to begin to find new ways to use your unique power.

D-class - Someone who is a newbie. Their powers are freshly awakened and are fairly weak. Newbies have severe limitations on their powers, such as the amount of times you can use your skill, or you can only use it when the clock strikes midnight, etc. It will take time to get used to controling your new powers, but you will get there.

Official RP DO'S:
- Have fun
- Support one another should a plot twist or subplot come to pass
- Be respectful to your fellow players. After all, you will be seeing a lot of each other over the course of this RP
- Ask before you wish to progress your power and/or suggest your own plot device, as I am completely open to ideas
- Know that I am always available for questions or concerns regarding the overall well-being of the RP. Just send me a message if you have any questions.

Official RP DON'TS:
- No Flaming
- No Spam
- No Trolling
- No generally being a dick to everybody you interact with. We are a family here, and we respect one another.
- No trenchcoat tactics. As stated above, if you wish to create a plot twist of your own, let me know. More than likely, I will accept it. Do not however, bring it randomly into the light as something you were planning all along.
- Godmodding. There will be no tolerance for overpowered characters in this RP. I understand that the point of this brand of RP is to become powerful, but do not make your powers too godlike.

Accepted Characters
Name: Jason Caston

Player: All Hail Lelouch

Age: 16

Description: 5 foot 10 inches, Medium length black hair; green eyes; glasses; he has a scar along his right forearm from where he sliced it open as a child. Wears mostly dark clothes.

Power: Energy shields and barriers.

D-Class- Jason can concentrate his energy to form a shield made of his Spirit Energy on his right arm. He can also throw this shield, but it will disintigrate after leaving his arm for more than 10 seconds.. He can only form the shield and throw it once every 6 hours, so he must be careful when he uses it.

C-Class- He can now form shields on both of his arms. He now has more control and awareness of his power and can form his shields at any time and can throw many shields at any time without much depletion of his Spirit energy.

B-Class- Jason can now manipulate his shields while they are in the air. Another ability he learns is how to manipulate the size of the shields, so he can form a barrier around himself that can protect against just about anything. His limitation comes from the amount of energy needed to enlarge the shields. The Barriers are directly linked to his energy supply, if they block an attack, it drains more of jason's energy to sustaine the barrier.

A Class- Jason no longer has to touch his shields to throw them, he can materialize one anywhere within a fifty yard radius and completely controls its movements. His spirit energy now acts as an aura armor for him. Its not invincible, It is only capable of blocking Energy blasts, so he is still vulnerable to a good old fashioned ass kicking. Plus, With each blast blocked, Jason loses more energy trying to sustain the aura, much like his B-class ability.

Bio: Jason is just like any other nerd in any other school. He studies in most of his spare time, makes good grades, and is an overall laidback person. Other than studying, he often plays video games and plays around on the internet. He doesn't like to fight, but he will defend his friends without a second thought. He also has good luck with the ladies. Because Chicks dig guys with scars. However, he does not have a girlfriend, even though he would like to. When hanging out with his friends, he usually cracks jokes about whats new on the internet and laughs a lot. Its really hard to take him seriously though since thats all he does.

Name: Cody Lansing

Age: 17

Description: Cody is a Caucasian male of average height, at about 5"10, and a slender build. He has dark brown hair and brown eyes as well, with no real distinguishing features besides a face that most of the girls find handsome. He dresses fairly simply, mainly wearing jeans and a plain T-shirt. After awakening to his powers he's forced to wear a pair of red gloves at all times.

Power: Fist of Heaven and Fist of Hell. His right fist is the Fist of Hell and his left fist is the Fist of Heaven. Both fists will drain Cody's energy constantly, unless he keeps them covered. If he allows them to remain active for too long, the results would be fatal making this a double edged sword. Also, due to their contradictory nature, they cannot both be active at the same time.

D: At this stage Cody can only use the Fist of Heaven. Fist of Hell puts far too much strain on his body. The Fist of Heaven will radiate a bright light to anyone with the power to see spirits. This holy light repels demons and ghosts, but is only a minor nuisance to them at this stage that adds a little extra power to his punches.

C: At this point Cody will be able to use the Fist of Hell. Once unwrapped, this fist will be consumed by the black flames of hell. The flames feed on blood and grow larger based on the amount absorbed, which can work off of the wounds of Cody, his allies, or his enemies. At this stage the flames cannot pass above his elbow no matter what though. Conversely, the Fist of Heaven gains the power to heal minor wounds of him or whomever he touches at this stage, but puts a far greater toll on Cody's body so he can only use it once.

B: In this stage Cody will be able to use the Fist of Heaven to unleash a flash of holy light that will blind most enemies and cause extra damage to demons. It will heal more severe wounds and can be used up to 3 times now. The flames of the Fist of Hell will now be able to extend to his shoulder. Both fists will have significant power at this point.

A: At his peak, the Fist of Heaven will annihilate most lesser demons on contact and deal significant damage to greater demons. It will heal almost any wound and the flash attack will leave enemies blind for almost an entire day. The flames of the Fist of Hell can now cover his entire body and act as both armor and a weapon. He will be able to manipulate the flames as well to use them as a sort of ranged attack. Despite his mastery of his powers, Cody will only be able to use them for about an hour at a time due to the heavy toll it places on his body but using the Fist of Heaven to heal will reduce this time by 10 minutes per healing.

Bio: Cody was born to parents who simply weren't up to the task of having a child. His father left shortly before Cody was born and when he was 4 his mother left him with a relative to look after him while she worked and never came back. After that Cody was passed from relative to relative, never really staying in one place for long. It seemed that the majority of his mother's family didn't approve of her having a child and wanted no part of raising him. And this made Cody very resentful and angry. Making friends was hard enough when he changed schools so often and responding violently to any harassment or teasing certainly didn't help.

Finally there was no one left who was willing to take him in except for his elderly grandparents who were far too old to be raising a child. But they did the best they could and provided Cody with the most stable environment he had ever known. Whereas most of his caretakers punished his violent behavior, his grandparents took a different approach by enrolling him in a local martial arts school that taught Wing Chun in hopes that he would learn to properly control his anger.

On his first day he was paired with Linda, the instructors daughter who was around the same age as him, to give him someone of similar size to practice with. Cody was furious at being put on the same level as a girl, until she soundly beat him in their first sparring session and every one afterwards. This didn't help his mood any, but rather than gloat over her victory, Linda did her best to show where he went wrong and help him improved. Training with Linda taught Cody the basics of Wing Chun but more importantly it helped him to find peace within himself.

Over the course of a few years, Cody had done almost a complete 180 and was a calm, collected, and well liked individual. Shortly after he turned 16 his Grandfather passed away and his Grandmother couldn't afford to take care of him anymore. Despite all his progress, Cody found himself angry once more. He would be passed around to people who cared nothing for him once again. This time his cousin Brett, who had recently taken up management of a grocery store in Danmour and was now financially able to take care of Cody. Cody didn't have high hopes that Brett would be any different than the rest of his family, but before he left Linda sparred with him one last time to help him find peace again and Cody won his first match since he had met her.

After saying a hard goodbye to Linda, her father, and his grandmother, Cody left for Danmour during summer break to start a new life one more time. He was pleasantly surprised to find that Brett was much more hospitable than most of his relatives, though they still haven't been living together long.

Cody is still prone to the occasional fit of anger, but he generally is a calm and collected person thanks to his training. He mostly keeps to himself, but if someone else approaches him he can carry on a conversation quite well and is generally well liked. Since there is no Wing Chun school in Danmour his training has been put on hold, but he still practices the basics on his own to help keep his composure and stay in shape.

Other: Due to the potentially fatal nature of his powers he sees them as a curse rather than a gift.

Name: Gail Sylvestre

Player: Figment of mind

Age: 15

Description: Gail is rather short in stature and lean in body. She's the proud owner of some near-platinum blonde hair (won't stop her from claiming that it's platinum blonde anyways) that would be waist length on a taller woman which curls inwards at the ends. Her eyes are describled as a mix between blue and grey by her friends, with the actual ratio up to interpretation. As for her face, it looks young in conparison to her looks, giving her a younger appearance that she actually is, something that she hates. She tends to wear a beanie on her head, over her hair and a t-shirt, skirt, and pants combo whenever she can. Also prone to wearing elbow high fingerless gloves.

Power: Spirit Hoop/Buzzsaw

D-class- Gail can form her spirit energy into a large hoop (say four, four and a half feet wide) that floats free of her touch around her. The energy from it can cut flesh but has trouble with anything harder. In addition, the hoop has been shown to cut her as well as be hard for her to control, only getting it going in the general direction that she wants. She is limited to moving it around 15-16 feet away from her. Each hit weakens it as it drains her spirit energy, with the recharge period depending on how much it hits, requiring an couple of hours to recharge if it hits once and a day to recharge if fully drained.

C-class- She has gained greater control of the hoop/blade, allowing her to control the size of the hoop and the size of the inner width of the hoop, able to turn it from hoop to bladed circle as well as being able to aim it at her target given a moment or two of aiming. The blade no longer cuts her and can be used as a platform to reach higher places. This works well since at this time she is now able to summon a second blade/hoop, currently as powerful as the original but as durable as the original. The hoops also moderately increases in power, able to cut rock and such easily, as well as losing less spirit energy with each hit and staying stronger, longer. It can now move 25 feet away from her.

B-class- Gail's control of the hoops has increased enough to allow her to move it while she stands upon it giving her transport. Her control is great enough now that she can will the hoops not to cut her allies if they make direct contact with the blades. Her control of the second hoop has grown enough to make it as powerful and as durable as the first as well as summoning a third of the same strengths. She can now aim them on the fly and have them attack specific body parts. The blades now are able to cut through metal easily and can go 40 feet away from her with no ill effects.

A-class- Gail's control is well enough that she can stick one of the hoops to her back and utilize it as a jetpack for better transport and speed without the issue of balance. Her control is great enough that they no longer losses power with every strike and can cut through even spirit attacks with ease. The number of blades that she can control at once have has increased to 5, each one the same in all respects, and the reach with them now extends to 65-70 feet.

Bio: Gail tends to do average in school, relying on her friends to help her in the areas that she's not as skilled in such as english and american history. Outside of class, she's known to be more random, reckless and somewhat childish, as per her looks. Gail likes Otters and has gone out of her way to get things with them on it. She gets angry rather quickly but is also prone to forgiving and forgetting really quickly. She's willing to (grudgingly) accept help if it's offered but goes out of her way to never ask for it due to pride and hardheadedness. Tends to revert back to speaking french when sufficiently angered or frustrated. She has a button to be pressed by making fun of her home country, or mentioning her dad.

She hails from Gaspe, Quebec where she was raised by her mother and an aunt who lived with them due to falling on hard times. She only somewhat remembers her father, who unceremoniously disappeared from her life around her fifth year of life after a big fight with her mother. Most of what she knows about him came from her mother and aunt, one who portrayed him as flawed and the other who saw him as a scoundrel, not fit to be near the family. Eventually, she and her mother moved to New York for business opportunities (and her mom hated the near constant windy days), leaving the house to her aunt, and a soon after, her mother met and started dating a man who had lived in Danmour previously. That man ended up becoming her stepfather and a couple of years after, they moved back to Danmour where Gail has been ever since.

Name: Brian Ralphner

Age: 17

Description: A giant of a man, Brian stands tall among those of his age, and although his shape is well-filled, he is somewhat uncoordinated with his growth spurt. His facial features are unremarkable, short-cut brown hair with matching eyes, usually behind a pair of thin, rectangular glasses. When out and about, Brian wears neutral or dark colored long-sleeved shirts with denim jeans.

Power: Spiritual Calligraphy

D-Class: Using his personal pen, and paper fixed to his personal binder, Brian can conjure effects, or objects from his writing. However, at this level he is limited to single words, and what is made is not guided by his intent. While both effects and objects are strong in their own regard, Brian can only keep effects going for about a minute maximum; and he can only make objects that he can hold one-handed, though those objects can last up to an hour if needed.

C-Class: Now with better understanding of his artistic ability, Brian only needs his personal pen to infuse his words with spiritual power. Along with that comes a better control of his power, with the ability to add a second word to specify the wanted reaction. He can also conjure effects for up to three minutes. Also, he can create items that last for hours and are big enough to require two hands to wield.

B-Class: Able to focus on his writing, Brian is able to better specify the outcome he wishes to bring out of his writing with a third word. On top of that, he now no longer needs his personal pen to write the words. Effects that can effect a large area are now possible, lasting up to ten minutes. Large objects are also possible to conjure, including machines that can operate on their own.

A-Class: The power of the word: Brian now comes to understand that his words only serve as a focus for his creative power. He can now write entire phrases to better incite a wanted reaction. Effects of any size can last up to 30 minutes, and Brian can now use his writing to conjure living things.

Bio: Always on the move, that was the childhood Brian had. Born to a family that could never stick roots anywhere, Brian found that he couldn't really become the social type. Never knowing if he could keep the friends he made, Brian turned inward. By making his own stories and paintings, Brian tried to use his creativity to make a static world of fantasy, in an attempt to make wherever he was more comfortable. It came to a point where he carried around a binder of spare paper so he can write whenever the mood struck him.

This, of course, made his parents very worried, and after getting no definite answers from several psychiatrists, they decided it would be best if they finally just settled down somewhere. So, they ended up in Danmour, thinking that the quiet atmosphere would help bring their son out of his shell. However, they have yet to see results, Brian is still withdrawn, and while his academics are always satisfactory, he always seems to spend more time writing in his binder than doing homework.

Other:

-Brian's stories have developed his outlook on life, and while he is not outspoken about his beliefs, he has strong convictions along with a sense of right and wrong.

-Even though he practically has a library of prior work, Brian is very sensitive about showing others what he has written. Even when he writes in his binder he'll make and effort to keep others from "looking over his shoulder". To have another person look at his work is a sign of trust.

-Brian wears long sleeves whenever in public, unless to do so would make him incredibly uncomfortable. He does this to cover a skin condition that causes patches of red, scaly, flaky skin to form. While the condition can fade to a point where he looks perfectly fine, it has made Brian really self-conscious of his appearance.

Name: Karen Draco

Age: 17

Description: Karen has black hair with sliver streaks, a side effect of bounding with the gauntlet, stands 6 foot 3 inches tall, and has the build of a athlete and has blue eyes. Her left arm has a gold dragon tattoo that extends from the middle knuckle back to her elbow, another side effect of bounding with the gauntlet. Both the wings and tail of the dragon tattoo wrap around her arm.

Karen tends to dress in a more 'casual formal' in public or around school, exclusively at her family constant pestering. Knee length skirts and a nice, but not fancy blouse and a matching jacket, flat soled slip on shoes (she despises high heels with a burning passion) and her hair is generally kept in a low ponytail. When she's actually allowed to dress how she wants, the 'noblity' melts away and your left with a girl who is very much 'jeans and t-shirt' at her core.

This duality continues to her personality as well, most who don't know her see tend to see the carefully crafted 'lady' her family expects her to be, this makes her very polite and generally well spoken. Those that know her best, will tell you flat out, this is not the real Karen. The real Karen is less restrained, while she's still mostly polite and well spoken, she's also not afraid to tell you 'how it is', though which ever 'Karen' she's put on display she's still good hearted and helpful, often standing up to bullies, which her family does expect her to stand up for those how can, or are unable to, this is something she does of her own accord.

Power: Armor of the Silver White Dragon.

The Armor of the Silver White Dragon, generally takes the form of a left handed elbow length gantlet, white with gold trim and detailing, and the over all design of the piece if very much Draconic, as the name imply. The relic it self is ancient, crafted back when demons of any class could roam freely in the human world, and was crafted with the expressed purpose of slaying demons. And was typically given to those whom have the will and martial skills need to fight, but lacked the Spiritual power to combat demons on an even footing, how ever some times they are given to people with Spiritual powers.

Most of these have ether lost their power, or been destroyed with their owners in battle, this one was believed to have lost its power some time ago, and its currently unknown as to why its become active again. The relic is also 'soul bound' upon equipping, meaning the owner will need to be killed in order to remove it from her, cutting off the left arm with only cause the armor to replace that arm with an artificial arm made up of part of the gauntlets 'full armor' form

D: At this level she's aware of the gauntlets power and can summon it at will. The entry level ability is taking Spirit Energy and solidifying it into a weapon of the owners choosing, a standard long sword in this case. regardless of weapon type created, like most the Gauntlets powers, its is of little use against anything other the demons, as such will cut a demon of equal rank with ease (a demon with armor or has abnormally tough hide or an ability to that effect does hinder the weapons effectiveness) this apply to the claws on the tips of the gauntlets fingers as well.

C: Weapons grow stronger, being able to cut down stronger demons. User also gains use of a 'barrier' skill named 'Conviction' in most old texts on the subject. Conviction creates a dome around the user, with a diameter of around 2 meters, with the user at the center, Allies may pass through the dome freely but it blocks attacks going into or out of it at this level, also any demon to close when activated will be thrown back, though take little or no damage. the user can not leave or move while the dome is active, or the dome will shatter, also, a strong or persistent attacks will also cause the dome to break. they user also gains a weak healing ability, enough to really only stop the bleeding of life threatening wounds at most.

B: Even greater weapon strength, the healing ability grows stronger and Convictions Radius grows to 5 meters and a now allows attacks to exit the dome, it can also be 'set', creating a temporary safe zone while freeing the user to return to the fight, the dome is stronger with the user still in side though, so caution is advised. The user also gains the ability to further boost their attack power via channeling Spirit Energy into what ever weapon they have out, this added strength makes weapon strike more effective against 'armored' foes.

A:Along with the usual increases, Convictions Radius growing to 10 meters, The user finally gains access to the 'Full Armor' form. A suit of great strength, speed and durability, it resembles a bipedal dragon, although with a much shorter neck, like the gauntlet, the armor is white, with gold trim and detailing and does have wings that allow for flight, the attack range of melee weapons is boosted to 4 meters beyond the normal length of the weapon, and all normal ability are boosted significantly, the down side is this form in incredibly taxing, with even those gifted with vast amounts of spirit energy only having 5 minutes total before being left with nothing to even stand with. However the temporary boost in generally considered worth the risk and with training a user will mitigate most the negative effects of powering down.

Bio: Karen is a descendant of a clan that, in ancient times, fought demons, mostly in Europe. Karen her self is the youngest of 4 children, and the only girl. Karen's life to this point has been pretty normal, most the friends she made in middle and elementary school she still has, at home however, it was anything but normal, as per tradition, she was raise with the knowledge demons are very real, and still walk the earth, though Karen her self was never expected to fight them, having little aptitude for Spirit Energy, it would have been foolish to send her to battle, even then, Karen didn't really believe demons existed or any of the old legends where true anyway, until a year ago. Some girl had broken in to her home, most the family was a sleep, Karen how ever, was unable to sleep, Visions of a great shadow wiping everything she cared for off the map haunting her dreams, so she headed to the Library to do a bit of late reading, and something felt, off. She looked around and everything seemed to be fine, but she couldn't shake the feeling something was wrong. The the alarm went off in the armory, Karen, already being up and close darted over there but didn't get very far before running into the thief, young woman, with a bag full of book, and some of their old spiritual artifacts from the armory, but before Karen could grab her she tipped on of the display cases over, spilling the contents out onto the floor, one of the old gauntlets that supposedly made up the old Dragon Armor from the old legends, with out a second though Karen grabbed it, put it on and ran after the girl, almost getting close enough to take a swing before she just double over, clutching the armor with the gauntlet, the thief, seeing Karen pause formed a shield, one baring her family's crest on the surface and knocked her down with it.

All she could think was 'it hurts' as she lay on the floor trying desperately to remove the gauntlet from her arm, but to no avail, by the time her brothers and father arrived, the thief was gone, and Karen lay passed out on the floor, a new golden dragon tattoo on her left arm. It became clear in the morning the thief was after books on demon sealing and containment, this, coupled with the stole cross hinted who ever the thief was had a problem with a demon they needed sorting. That did leave the questions of why they didn't just ask for help, and how they even knew about the library to begin with. Karen awoke 2 days later, and returned to school as per normal, now with silver streaks in her hair and a head fully of so much confusion she didn't notice she'd waked right past the thief in the hall way. The armor was just a myth right? Just like the demons...?

Other:
The Draco Clan of demon hunters, now just a forgotten myth, first formed in the 11th century to combat the power of a rampaging shadow demon named Zorindasgernacht. These warriors, strong in Spiritual Power and wearing armor in the image of a holy white dragon, stood against the beast. They felt with their courage and new found power they would readily smite the beast, they where wrong. Of the 50 men and woman that stood against the demon, only 10 survived the initial fighting, that number dwindling to a sparse 4 after wounds took there toll, worse still, the one who had originally created the armor was among those who died in battle, leaving none who knew how to reproduce it. The demon it self, sealed away in a silver shield. This did not deter them though, many who had heard of the battle had come to them for aid with other demons rampage through out Europe, and they had many great years of hunting after the battle with Zorindasgernacht, but the damage had been done. By the late 13th century The armor that was their trade mark had begun to weaken, and with no one to repair or make fresh suits, they began looking into other means of combating the demon scourge but by then the Kekkia Barrier was in place and keeping the stronger demons locked away in the Demon world, how ever, the shield that housed Zorindasgernacht had been lost, thanks to some foolish traitors bent on acquiring power.

With their services no longer needed, those who feared the power the of The Draco Clan, turned on them, declaring them to be witches and heretics by the Christian Church for refusing to come under the church's banner, who'd merely been using them to further tighten there grip on the people. Only a few members of the Clan where tried and executed, and while they mourned the unjust murder of they're brethren, they successfully kept most of their accumulated knowledge on how to combat demons, methods for sealing them and so on, as well as the dragon armor it self, out of the hands of the, in their mind, corrupt church leaders. Times change however, and time march ever onward. By the 15th century The Draco Clan had faded to legend, and all but forgotten by the 16th.

In modern times The Clan is but a shell of its former self, their prized armor, and relics, little more then museum pieces in one of the two main manners, one Berlin, the other in upstate New York, but the true treasure, the vast accumulated knowledge on anti demon tactics and skill, remains tucked away in their library's, silently waiting a time when it is truly needed again.

Name: Quinn Rhodes

Player: hiei82

Age: 17

Description: Quinn has short blond hair that only slightly drops below her ears. Her eyes are bright green and filled with (metaphorical) fire. She has an almost constant tan thanks to her years spent in the distant places of the world. She bears a large scar on her left shoulder from the "cave collapse" which killed her father. She tends to wear khaki pants and shorts with a belt and fitting shirts with a brown leather jacket. She keeps a pair of mirrors and a monocle in her pants pockets, always wears a simple watch, and a cracked silver cross around her neck. She prefers sturdy boots to fashionable shoes. Quinn stays in the best shape she can; working out every day. When allowed, she carries a survival knife and prefers to have a handgun on her (though this rarely is true in the city)

Quinn is a firecracker; She tends to wear her emotions on her sleeve and do whatever she wants. She has little respect for authority and will pull pranks on anyone at a moment's notice. Quinn is curious in the extreme and willing to jump through fire to satiate her curiosity. She won't pull punches about what she thinks of people and expects the same in return (i.e. if she's being an idiot, she wants to know)

Power: Spiritual Resonance - Quinn's soul is remarkably willing to align with objects; achieving resonance with spirit weapons as easily as other pick up a gun. Most of her power is directed at the Rosary as the game begins.

D-Class: Spiritual Resonance - Soul Bind: At it's weakest state, Quinn is supernaturally skilled at bonding with artifacts of mystical origin. Items without wills of their own will connect to her within minutes of contact and she can draw more power out of them than would be normally possible (i.e. the Concentration Ring would be able to fire more shots of greater power before exhaustion set in). Objects with wills of there own (such as the Forlorn Hope or the Rosary of Shadows) find her an attractive user/host and can likewise be used to greater effect in her hands, but maintain their own wills and can refuse to be used if they desire it. They may also attempt to influence her back according to their own will. (OOC: The exact effects of this power require GM approval)

C-Class: Spiritual Resonance - Spirit Infusion: At this stage, Quinn can infuse her own spiritual energy into objects to one of two effects. Spiritually active objects receive a boost in their power. In the hands of others, the user effectively gains her D-Class ability for as long as she maintains the effect. In her own hands, the item becomes even more potent than normal; bypassing limitations on the item or pushing it to even greater heights of power. With normal objects, she can infuse her spirit to grant them spiritual awakening; allowing the items to be of greater use against spiritual creatures such as demons. This power is draining and therefore uses it sparingly. (OOC: The exact effects of this power require GM approval)

B-Class: Spiritual Resonance - Demon Awakening: At this stage in the power's development, Quinn can break the Rosary's seal and call upon the demon within it. At will, Quinn can manifest the demon's form, calling upon the additional strength, speed, endurance, and power of a demon. Wings shoot from her back, her hands become claws, her skin turns dark purple, and a massive horn manifests from her forehead. While in this form, the demon gains some influence over her actions; driving her toward more destructive actions; eager to embrace the chaos in her soul. In this form, she gains the ability to fire a single powerful blast of demonic energy from it's mouth. Afterward, the manifestation is broken, returning Quinn to normal. The demon can communicate at will with Quinn and attempts to drive her to use the power as much as possible.

A-Class: Spiritual Resonance - Forge of Souls: At this stage, her spiritual abilities have reached their maximum. Quinn gains the ability to create spiritual artifacts of her own design. Creating such items requires enormous effort on her part; requiring her to place a piece of her soul within any object she wishes to awaken to full status. As such, making an item takes many long days of constant effort and leaves her drained for days after. (OOC: GM approval is required for all items made)

Notable (non-mystical) Skills: Quinn is remarkably well read - particularly where history and archeology are concerned. She speaks many languages with relative skill and has seen more of the world than most women her age. She's in very good shape as a result of all the trips with her father and knows her way around weapons (self-defense is important in the dark places of the world after all)

Bio: The story of Quinn Rhodes begins long before her birth; in the 11th century in the land which would one day become Germany. For hundreds of years, a demon by the name Zorindasgernacht ravaged the land, eating entire towns of people. A horned, winged monster formed of living shadow, he was a neigh unstoppable force in the region until a small band of Germanic warriors made war upon the creature. Harnessing the secrets of spiritual energy, they crafted weapons capable of beating the beast back; sealing him into the silver shield of their greatest Shaman (at the cost of the Shaman's life) for what they believed would be all eternity. They buried the shield in a tomb with their shaman to lock it away from the world and took the secret of the tomb's location to their graves; believing their actions would forever protect the world from the demon's evil. Embracing the powerful symbol of a dragon as their mark, they became known as the Draco clan - powerful spirit warriors in their day.

However, the story of Zorindasgernacht's prison doesn't end there. Less then a decade later, the tomb was cracked open by a group of renegade Draco warriors, seeking the power of the demon for their own ends. Thus began a new bloody conquest of the ancient Germanic people. In the end, the warriors were destroyed by their own wrath and the shield fell into the hands of a small priesthood. Unaware of the power of the shield, they melted it down, forming it into a single large Rosary. Though they didn't know it, the act perhaps saved them all, for by changing the prison to that of a holy symbol, the demon's influence was locked away in a holy seal.

Still, the story of Zorindasgernacht's Rosary continued. The church was raided by viking warriors of the north and the cross passed into the hands of terrible Jarl after Jarl until, eventually, the spiritually aware of the north came to recognize the cross for what it was; a container of great evil. In their wisdom, they stole away with the Rosary, locking it in a chest and sending it to the furthest reaches of their vast empire; Vinland. They too buried the cross, expecting it to remain hidden for the rest of time.

For a time, the plan worked. Vinland faded into myth and legend and time marched forward. That is, until the late 1990s when Arthur Rhodes - an archeologist of some renown - hunting for proof of the Vinland colony stumbled upon the ancient Norse buildings. Even then, the Rosary would likely have been regarded as an interesting artifact and locked in a new, albeit more visible, hiding place - the Smithsonian Institute - were it not for the prying eyes of the 6 year old Quinn Rhodes; Aurthur's only daughter/family and budding spiritually aware person. Though she hadn't the power to break the seal or even comprehend the evil contained within, she could see the black light which seemed to pour endlessly from the strange cross.

Quinn was always the curious child - a trait she shared with her father - and took an intense liking to the strange object. Unbeknownst to her father, she took the strange cross as hers, bonding with it instantaneously. No one noticed it's disappearance. She wore the cross for years, hidden beneath her shirt. And with each day she wore the cross, the seal grew weaker and the blinding chaos of the demon prodded her soul, enhancing her impish characteristics until, when she was 15, she could only be described as a hellion.

Still, the demon was unable to fully change the young girl; fir the seal remained potent and the strength of the young woman's soul was unexpectedly large. With the rise of her chaotic nature, so too were her other childhood desires enhanced. her curiosity could never be contained and she spent nearly her entire life chasing after the same leads her father constantly sought; exploring deep caves and high mountains for secrets of the past.

It was on one of these many trips that the power of the Rosary finally failed. It was in a deep cavern in the Yucatán that the Rosary first cracked, releasing a massive spectral claw. It struck wildly at the pair, seeking their deaths in a blind fit of centuries of built up rage. In a single swipe, it collapsed the cave; bringing rocks down upon the pair of them; separating them. Fortunately for Quinn, her own spiritual powers were forced to awaken with the cracking of the seal, allowing her to "will" the demon back within the seal.

Quinn made her way to the surface, but she never saw her father again. She tried to remove the Rosary, but discovered that it's removal only weakened her and freed the demonic arm contained within. Driven by grief and guilt, she made her way back to her home in the United States to do what she did best; research.

It took nearly a year of constant work before she was able to work her way through Norse Poetic Eddas to ancient church documents, to legends of ancient Germanic warriors who fought demons with incredible powers. It took another 3 months before she managed to track down one of the Draco household, only to be attacked on sight as a demon herself.

With little other choice, Quinn broke into one of their libraries in the dead of night. She knew a little of spiritual matters thanks to her research and more than enough about Libraries to pick out the books she'd need with relative ease. Gathering all the books she thought would help, she made her way out. Or rather, would have were it not for her boundless curiosity and a locked door.

Popping the lock to the windowless room, she managed to find one of the Draco's armories and - in doing so - set off one of the alarms. Without a moment to lose, she grabbed the first set of items in reach - a pair of mirrors, a watch, and a monocle - and bolted. She managed to make it to the lobby before someone caught up to her; another girl about her own age.

The fear for her own safety suddenly well on her mind, she ran for the door as fast as she could, stopping only to spill display cases over to slow her pursuer. Just as the other woman was about to catch her, the other woman dropped to the floor in pain. Taking the opportunity, Quinn escaped into the night.

Upon her successful escape, she began reading the books to learn as much about the Rosary as possible. She remained in New York City area; hiding from the Draco family by way of shear numbers. She began attending high school in the area. She spends an enormous amount of time in the school and public libraries, reading books. Despite her outgoing personality, she's thus far avoided becoming close to anyone at the school for their safety. She currently lives by herself in a small apartment purchased using her father's funds. It is filled with mundane artifacts from dozens of cultures around the world and literally hundreds of books.

Equipment: Quinn currently has one mystical item.

The Rosary of Shadows: This simple silver cross on a silver chain contains the demon Zorindasgernacht and is the source of most of her problems. While it has little power on it's own aside from that of the demon, Quinn can use her powers to summon a spectral shield over the Rosary to protect herself (it takes the form of the original shield which once held Zorindasgernacht. She can also transform the Rosary into a sword which she is skilled with. These weapons work as well as a normal shield/sword would (save they are able to strike/defend against demons) and cannot be used at the same time.

She also owns dozens of minor artifacts of non-mystical nature

Other: The details of the Draco Family can be found in Lunar Templar's character sheet or below for easy reference

This did not deter them though, many who had heard of the battle had come to them for aid with other demons rampage through out Europe, and they had many great years of hunting after the battle with Zorindasgernacht, but the damage had been done. By the late 13th century The armor that was their trade mark had begun to weaken, and with no one to repair or make fresh suits, they began looking into other means of combating the demon scourge but by then the Kekkia Barrier was in place and keeping the stronger demons, including Zorindasgernacht, locked away in the Demon world.

With their services no longer needed, those who feared the power the of The Draco Clan, turned on them, declaring them to be witches and heretics by the Christian Church who'd merely been using them to further tighten there grip on the people. Only a few members of the Clan where tried and executed, and while they mourned the unjust murder of they're brethren, they successfully kept their accumulated knowledge on how to combat demons, methods for sealing them and so on, as well as the dragon armor it self, out of the hands of those whom only sought to use it for there own ends, and not the good of the people. Times change however, and time march ever onward. By the 15th century The Draco Clan had faded to legend, and all but forgotten by the 16th.

In modern times The Clan is but a shell of its former self, their prized armor, little more then museum pieces in one of the two main manners, one Berlin, the other in upstate New York, but the true treasure, the vast accumulated knowledge on anti demon tactics and skill, remains tucked away in their library?s, silently waiting a time when it is truly needed again.

Name: Carolina "Lina" O'Connell

Age: 17

Description: About 5'2, blue eyes, long brown hair with dyed blond and red streaks, a couple ear piercings and a butterfly tattoo on her back. Prefers to dress casually, rather than formally. Her favorite outfit includes a black and pink sleeveless jacket with "PUNK" written on the back in pink lettering, a black long-sleeved shirt, jeans, black boots with pink laces, and black fingerless gloves.

Power: Psychic abilities (telepathy & telekinesis)
D-When she first develops her powers, Lina is only able to read surface thoughts/emotions and lift small objects of at least one pound.
C-As her powers develop, Lina can delve deeper into other people's minds, and can now even mentally speak with other people and lift slightly larger objects, up to five pounds.
B-Now, Lina's mental powers enable her to lift herself and fairly large objects, as well as delve deep into other people's minds and project her mental voice over a short distance, of about 10 yards.
A- At this point, Lina can lift objects about half her size, as well as propel herself and others through the air. She can read minds and even manipulate them. Finally, she can project her mental voice over a wide range, about 20 yards.

Bio: There's not really much to say, Lina is the only child of a lawyer and a doctor, who are often very busy, but try to make it up to her by spoiling her rotten. As a result, Lina is a bit messed up mentally and emotionally, leading to somewhat of an anti-social attitude, not to mention she considerably resents her parents for this.. She is bit of a loner, not because she's shy, but that she doesn't like people that much. Lina tends to speak her mind (to the point of being rather blunt), and is decidedly cynical and sarcastic. She does have a strong sense of justice, that holds in check her bad temper.

Other: For starters, Lina has her driver's license, and drives a shiny new silver Camero (a gift from her parents, something she grudgingly accepted). She's also a decent sketch artist, but she's very hesitant to share them. Finally, Lina isn't opposed to the occasional cigarette or beer, though she takes great pains to hide it from her family, wanting to avoid any awkwardness.

Name: Shiro Kunekawa

Alias: Shokune (SHO-koo-nay)

Player: FalloutJack

Age: 17

Description: Thusly...

He appears as a Japanese youth of semi-sort dark brown hair who has sometimes a rather distant look in his somewhat-lighter brown eyes. His complexion is a bit light, but he seems fairly-versatile, something bordering on the athlete, like he runs alot. Shiro's almost 'lost' look makes him appear to be not paying attention to what's in front of him sometimes, as though his mind were elsewhere. Sometimes, that is true, but not all. When he's more serious, his gaze shifts to that of a fierce intensity that usually comes out in a scowl. He's not very well-known for being angry, but he tends to get very unruly when his patience runs out. He is not known to be great at yelling, but more like this normal voice suddenly gains a shit-ton of presence and volume when he wants to be heard. There is the old scar of a burn on his back.

In most cases, Shiro tends to wear a collared shirt, unless he's got nothing special planned for the day and dons a normal t-shirt or sweatshirt, depending on the weather. Colors there are lighter for collared and darker for casual-wear. He alternates between black and blue jeans, using a stylish black belt most of the time. His shoes are off-the-shelf steel-toed sneakers, all black. He has a decent dark-grey jacket as well, or a dark-green winter coat for bad weather. Often, when you see him out, he carries himself with the poise of someone who's on the lookout for attackers, as though determining the best ways to handle them, should they come. In short, he looks guarded, wary. Can't quite tell why that is... He does, by the by, speak english.

Power: The soul-drinking samurai...

D - Formed by an initial encounter, Shiro's primary ability is to take the form of a dark samurai [http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m315/MagnusReaper/dark.jpg] with a sword. It's a creation that forms around him via his energy that will damage and break when he's pushed to his limits. There is no ranged ability unless he wants to throw his sword, so he IS limited, while strong. The strength of the form and the swings is the sort which can sheer off objects keenly, or break a hole through a wall. It, therefore, can be quite harmful to the unprotected human or a weaker demon. (Up to the GM on how it affects anything superior to him.) He is stronger, but he's not faster, and the drain on his resources means that he collectively cannot use this for more than 15 minutes a day.

C - After some practice and fights under the belt, Shiro will be able to summon the sword alone at a negligable drain to his energies and use it well. The use of his samurai form can done for longer now and be expected to survive prolonged battles because he's taking in energy from his surroundings in the background. His movement speed has increased in either form, but especially so while as the armored samurai, being an energetic extension of his being made manifest. Throwing his sword will spin it and direct it to slash around where he wants it to. He is durable and deadly, and it doesn't even feel weighty or bulky anymore to him.

B - It's become clear that the expression of his power is that of a demon's force enslaved by his own spiritual energy, and that his spiritual energy has been using what he takes from his surroundings and defeated foes to create a 'second skin' as a form of protection and defense. Shiro can now take harder hits to an extent even outside of his form because the energy is meshing with his biology on a subtle level, though it's still the full form that better-manifests his power. The armor, once cut through, can start to regenerate with a dark and cancerous tissue that will gradually restore damaged armor while still offering some protection. It can also be projected as piercing spears or grasping limbs. He will now be able to project dark vacuum wave slashes and strikes from sword, fist, and foot.

A - The armor of 'Shokune' is but a shell, a cocoon for a developing power. When it has developed far enough, it will crack apart and out will emerge the properly-formed ability of Shiro Kunekawa. He will no longer have armor from this point on, as its power is now expressed totally within his body in both strength and durability. He could take an axe to the head without bleeding, though the impact itself wouldn't be pleasant. His strength will be such that he could sheer apart or punch through things bare-handed-or-footed, though he still forms the blade...which is no longer dark, but giving off an unearthly glow. His spear or projected attacks are now in proper spirit energy, as he seems to have cast off the darkness to express its power in his own forces. He is still fast, as his real power has been sucking in energy to improve him with from the beginning. What is it? An amorphous spiritual void, an expression of energy which feeds off of its surroundings and threats to its person to create defenses. His first demon encounter shaped some of the initial abilities, but the truth is that Shiro absorbs some of the energy from attacks or other beings or a ready energy source and can return it at the cost of pain with a charge of his own energy to enhance it greatly. He has to endure some of the damage if it's something harmful, but he can also grab something with an energy source (like a demon, say) and take a charge that way too.

Bio: It goes something like this...

As you might guess, Shiro is originally from Japan. Our story begins there, where as a child he has been forced to endure the loss of a parent, his mother, and noticed a certain downhill trend with his father because of it. Rikdo Kunekawa was not abusive, but he had been getting a bit dark in attitude, unapproachable. It was unnerving for a child, so he naturally gravitated away from him. During his younger age, around twelve, he became friends with a quiet young girl, name of Anri Fuyunaito...as well as her older brother, who had the unlikely name of Max. They were a kind enough group. They had a father, a modest-but-highly-skilled accountant, and...a wayward mother that was apparently important in shrines who had separated from their family a while ago, for reasons unknown.

Still, they were friends and life continued well, as long as Shiro didn't keep his father from whatever it was he concentrated on these days. But then...that was not a good thing. Because unfortunately, what it was...was that Rikdo Kunekawa had become a kidnapper, and a killer, and a pyromaniac. He'd lost touch with reality, day by day, and descended further into madness. He saw 'demons' in people and wanted to purge them with fire. So, on one fateful night, Shiro had been looking for him and he had been said to have been heading for the Fuyunaito residence... You can imagine the boy's shock when he saw a fire brewing. It had been expertly set to separate family member from family member. He had made it so that he had Anri isolated with him...

The other two outside as the house was inside, they couldn't seem to stop him from rushing on in. Max had a natural sensitivity to heat and fire, and his father was no hero himself. Not yet. Shiro didn't even know how HE made it through, but he was there in time to see his father rambling on about devil children and trying to break Anri down mentally by claiming to have burnt her whole family alive. He was absolutely insane...which was a little much for the boy to take already. But then, when Rikdo noticed that he was THERE, he turned...and seemed about to speak...when a thoroughly-enraged girl of ten unexpectedly pushed him into the flames! "The only monster was the one in your heart...", she said, then collapsed to her knees, looking dead inside. She must have believed his lies and turned on him with a vengeance!

The fire was going to consume them both at this rate, and Shiro wasn't sure how to handle it, as he watched his father die laughing maniacally while on fire. Somehow, after seeing all of this, he couldn't entirely blame her for doing that. Anri was always such a calm girl. To see her enraged was like a tragedy, especially since the look in her eyes showed the face of someone who had given up. He pulled her back from the fire she'd been staring at, tried to tell her that her family was fine, and then the building started to collapse! The rest was a blur that night, one of movement, fire, and narrowly escaping to find the others waiting outside. He'd managed, somehow, and earned the trust and gratitude of a new family.

He'd been taken in by the Fuyunaitos for a while as they tried to put their lives back together. The loss of his father had made Shiro little more than a boy who existed, but did not live. He started to feel strange, see strange things from time to time, and generally get the feeling that he was being watched. More than once, he was afraid that this was how his father went, and said as much to Max and Anri. They told him that the problem was all in his head, that if he wanted to overcome the feelings in his head, then that was where he had to fight them. He was essentially a good person surrounded by darkness, so they gave him the nickname of 'Shokune the samurai', a play on his name. Once he started to believe he was fighting madness like some imaginary warrior, he actually started to feel better, but some of the feelings did persist and he did not know why.

It was years later that things came to light. He had found out that Max and Anri had a penchant for the martial arts, that their mother was quite good and that this had enticed the brother to start up a dojo...which he did. It wasn't an extravagant place, but it had all the right equipment, and even an old shogun-type armor with the oni-mask and all. Shiro helped out with the place and generally went on until...it was one late night where he'd been putting stuff away and studying for an exam. A curious sensation led him out into the main training room. There, he saw an amorphous shadow crawling across the floor, giving off a throaty hiss when it spotted him. "What the...?", was as far as his reaction got when it suddenly slipped into the shogun armor, possessing and changing it [http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m315/MagnusReaper/Demon_Samurai_Soul_by_Karosu_Maker.jpg], and manifested a dark sword before his very eyes, walking towards him with killer intent!

There were two real swords in this place, and the blade the creature was holding wasn't one of them. This was a delve into the supernatural. Fortunately, he knew where they kept those real swords. One was Max's, a European double-sided blade for some reason. The other was Anri's, more his speed, that of a katana. He wielded it, having practiced here on numerous occasions, and managed to avoid getting killed by the thing. It growled and hissed and slashed at him like a zombie soldier, its strength greater than its speed by far. Apparently, it could take control of and empower things that have a definite shape. It didn't SAY this, but it more of...came to him naturally, somehow. They continued to face off, and Shiro took advantage of many of the mistakes it made to leave itself open, as it was using the form...but not its grace. He landed several hits, took off its head, and when that didn't stop it, he knocked away the sword and stabbed hard into its chest!

"Thaaat's quite a ssskill you have there, humaaan. I think I will...TAKE IT!" He didn't know that the demon was indeed weakened by his attacks, that he'd managed to do damage. All he knew was that its shadowy form flowed down the blade and onto his hands, then crawled up his body to try and possess him! Shiro panicked, but soon found that it wasn't HIS panic he was feeling. It was the demon's... It felt something wrong and tried to disengage, but it couldn't. It sank right in... The demon was the one who'd been taken, not him. Almost immediately, though, he felt an sudden shock of pain as he created an armored exterior around himself! NOW, he was panicking. What the hell was this?! He flailed about for a moment and accidentally damaged parts of the room in the process.

Suddenly, something slashed up his newfound form from behind with incredible skill and power, and the armor...shattered, leaving him unguarded and looking human once more. He turned suddenly...and found a woman standing there. Black hair, icy blue eyes like Max, wearing a kimono and carrying a blade in her hand. The hell? She looked kinda' like that girl from Kara no Kyoukai. In reality, though...

The moon cast a silhouette of her over him, yet he could still see her face and eyes properly. There was no doubt about it: This was the erstwhile mother of two, wife of the accountant Hito Fuyunaito, and noted spiritualist of several shrines and holy places, Saiga Munashii. The way she looked at him, looked into him, was like she were appraising him straight down to his soul. Chances are, that is exactly what she was doing, but then she spoke in an impassive-yet-authoritive voice.

"You have alot of nerve wrecking my son's dojo, you know. If you'd only kept still, we could've saved some of the equipment."

"I...err...sorry? Didn't expect that to happen... Who...? Are you really Max and Anri's...?"

She nodded, then her eyes dropped and her voice took on a more regretful tone.

"It seems I've been away too long... I only wanted to protect them, to draw attention away from the family, but it isn't working. First, a man deranged, then an actual demon..."

"Wait, you were there and you didn't even save her?!"

Her eyes sharpened on him like knives, insulted by the accusation, but Shiro's eyes were even finer points right now and they would not go away without explanation. Anri did not deserve what happened that day.

"I did no such thing! I was far and away, but I came running as soon as I felt danger. It just happened that when I arrived, I saw that you had everything in hand."

"Me?!"

"Yes, you. Understand now? You. Saved. My daughter. Single-handedly."

Okay, now he was confused. Parts of what she was saying didn't make sense, but what was THIS now?

"But I was just a kid! How could any of that be true? And you still should've been there!"

She shook her head, and then...oh boy but did she explain.

"I arrived through the flames unseen, in time to see my daughter execute the father before h

Anima and Manga don't normally interest me, but I like this. I'll get a sheet up soon.

Quick question: I am completely unfamiliar with the Hu Hu Hakoshu besides what you put here. Is that a problem?

Hm... If you mean the orange haired guy with the energy sword, thats's Kuwabara, but if you mean the old pink-haired lady then that's Genkai.

Also, character sheet in progress.

It would help to have a basic knowledge of the series. Its a very very good show and you should at least know the basic terminology, characters and such. But I'll be introducing them in such a way that you'll be able to learn about them easy enough.

"I arrived through the flames unseen, in time to see my daughter execute the father before his son. I watched...carefully, seeing the energy rise from your being, awakened in a conflicted state. If you so much as lifted a finger to harm her, I would have gladly killed you, but you are a boy of integrity and understanding...and I saw that you would help her to safety. The flames reached you but once, that scar on your back, and never again that night."

He began to remember. He was struck in the back by a burning board as the flames began to close in...and then as he screamed in pain back then, he sent all the fires BACK and they both made it to safety before the building fell in on them. Everything that happened that night must've been tucked away because he was too young to understand it all.

"Then...what does that make me? And what're you, that could do all the stuff you did? 'Walking through flames unseen'? What is that?"

"It's power. You have it, I have it, other people and things...have it. You're human, Shiro. Your spiritual energy is an amorphous void that sucks in and uses what's around it. It awakened when you were a child, untested but able to save your life. How do you think you even got IN? I've been watching you these last five years to see how you develop."

"Five years? You must be either very bored or really patient."

"Heh, what's five to someone who's lived a thousand? I'm not a human, boy... I'm a creature who happens to be in line with the worship of several shrines. That is why I'm such a great spiritualist and fighter. It is also why I'm such a threat to my family, because my presence will lure others in, like that shadow. Fortunately, it was weaker and even you could handle it, but..."

Shiro calmed down now, and even smiled.

"If you did all of this because you thought they'd be in danger, I think you're more human than you let on."

"Let's hope my husband thinks so. I may be a demon, but I honestly like humans, enough that I fell in love with one... Anyway, I can help you out a little. I'll spread a little rumor around the demon circles that a certain dark samurai prefers to be left alone. It'll keep away some of the riff-raff, but you'll have to defend yourself sometime, Shokune."

Saiga left him alone that night to come to terms with everything else on his own. However, she reappeared to make amends with the family and give him a few pointers. Turns out she was responsible for all of Max and Anri's aptitude for fighting before she left, and was far superior to even their abilities. Of course, it begged the question of whether or not THEY had powers, but neither of them ever seemed to say or do anything that was out of place. So, either they were very secretive about it, or they just didn't have any. A curious thing about Saiga, though. She said that she was a creature of worship around shrines. A short list of her location and pictures of the places she's been would reveal that the creature in question...was a fox.

In any case, because she was now with her family and looking after them, Saiga asked him to go look into something that was a bit...more...distant. Somewhere around New York City was a feeling, something wrong... He would have to look it over longterm, but that was okay because Shiro had always felt that he needed to get out and see the world, take on some new studies. In short, he put in for an overseas transfer and found himself moving to a small-but-lively town called Danmour.

Hm... If you mean the orange haired guy with the energy sword, thats's Kuwabara, but if you mean the old pink-haired lady then that's Genkai.

Also, character sheet in progress.
Kuwabara, not kuruma. God, it's been years and i still mess up his name.

Also, i ment the guy with the rose that turns into a whip in the intro (his hair looks more hot pink or redish-pink than red.

Funny; because the guy with the rose is Kurama. I thought you knew that one given it's close spelling you had above.

...really? I was that close? ...why the heck does this keep happening? I always do this.

Anyways, thanks for clearing that up.

Gonna custom this prof a bit.

His movement speed has increased in either form, but especially so while as the armored samurai, being an energetic extensive of his being made manifest.

His spear or projected attacks are now in proper spirit energy, as he seems to have cast off the darkness to express its power in his own forces. He is still fast, as his real power has been sucking in energy to improve him with from the beginning. What is it?

Ooooooooh, Yu Yu Hakusho. I'm not entirely sure if I want to commit to a sheet just yet, but hopefully you won't mind if I shoot a few questions your way.

First, is it safe to assume that a character's physical strength and endurance will grow alongside their spiritual power? Being able to throw fireballs around isn't going to do you much good if a demon can break you in half with one punch, after all.

How do you feel about powers that aren't exactly combat oriented, like those the psychics that showed up at the beginning of the Chapter Black arc had? Though it might be a little tricky to get their powers to fit on the D-A scale...

What's your stance on using demons or Spirit World agents as PCs? Could they be safely used in a human character's backstory?

As I have had my sheet accepted, I can probably answer some of this.

{1} I personally declared that my character's attributes were going up and there seemed to be no problem with this. I think All Hail's character will grow physically as well, though, even though he did not declare it so. In short, I think you'll be fine. I just gave details.

{2} The territory powers were at the level they were in that arc because of the sudden on-rush of forces from the demon gate. Without it, they would have started out much weaker and I think you could map out the natural development of such a character. This is up to the GM, but I think it's possible.

{3} Are you sure you mean PC?

Yes, your character will surely grow stronger and more durable as he/she trains. They're gonna level up as we go, don't worry, I'm not gonna rip ya'll in half, i'm taking that into account. :)

As for abilities that aren't combat oriented; Depending on what they are, they could be either slightly useful, or game-breaking. It all depends on what you have in mind.

And, I'd rather have demon/spirit world knowledge kept to an absolute minimum in backstory, kinda ruins the big reveal when they finally do discover it. Perhaps them having some supernatural interactions, such as Jack's encounter with a demon in hte past and learning of his power. I have a plan for these things. :3

My submission. As I said I am inexperienced with the show so please excuse any technical errors.

Name: Jack Therson

Age: 18

Description: Jack stands 6 feet tall with a rather non-threatening figure. Jack dyes his hair white and spikes it. Jack also has blue eyes and European facial features seeing as how both his parent are English. His entire body is also covered in scars that look like bite and claw marks.

He almost always is wearing WW2 aviator's jacket which was passed down to him from his grandfather who was in the RAF. He is also always wearing a backpack in which he carries around his dog companion Wolf. He normally wears jeans and a variety of different shirts beside that.

Power: Psychic Transformation

D-If Jack closes his eyes and concentrates, he can transform Wolf into an animal of equal or slightly greater size (German Shepard or Great Dane). Jack can only do this for 15 minutes if the creature is of equal size, and 5 minutes if the creature is of slightly greater size; either way, it is mentally exhausting and Wolf will immediately transform back if Jack's concentration is broken in any way.

C-Jack can now transform Wolf into a creature of greater size (Cougar or Bear). He can now maintain a form of equal size for 20 minutes, a form of slightly greater size for 10 minutes, and a form of greater size for 5 minutes. Jack also gains the ability to sense where Wolf is at anytime, this power works both ways. Jack can also be slightly bothered without forcing Wolf back into his original form.

B-Jack can now maintain a form of equal size for 40 minutes, a form of slightly greater size for 20 minutes, and a form of greater size for 10 minutes. Jack can also establish a psychic link with Wolf and can command him without having to speak, though it's up to Wolf if he wants to follow. Wolf can do the same with Jack as well, and it isn't exactly like talking but Wolf's feelings become much more clear to Jack.

A-Jack gains the ability to transform Wolf into a massive creature (Dragon or Elephant.). She can maintain a form of equal size for 2 hours, a form of slightly greater size for 1 and a half hours, a form of greater size for 1 hour, and a massive form for 10 minutes. Wolf no longer needs to concentrate extremely hard to change and can now move around and do other things as long as he's still thinking about him.

Bio: Jack grew up in Danmour and was born with a love for nature. When Jack was about ten years of age, he was in the woods, exploring, and playing with the plants and birds like he loved to do. That was when he heard the cry of a wolf in the distance. When he went to investigate he saw what appeared to be a wolf pack about to kill one of their young who was obviously weak and sick. Young Jack foolishly attempted to fight the wolves, he eventually beat them but they literally tore chunks out of him. When he rushed home, his mother was furious that he had risked his life to save a feral animal.

Jack eventually recovered (With a large amount of scars for his troubles), his mother even let him nurse the baby wolf back to health (Which he named Wolf because at the time he was uncreative.), though as soon as the thing could leave his mother forced it out. Jack loved Wolf though and left food and water out for him every day, and every day Wolf would come, and the two would play in the forest.

When Jack became a teenager he convinced his mother to let him keep Wolf as a pet (Which he was doing before, but at least now he didn't have to hide it.). From that point he even carried around Wolf in his backpack wherever he went. Fortunately, Wolf was born with a birth defect (Which is probably why his pack was trying to kill him.) that kept him from growing to the size that he should've. Instead, he's about the size of a Bull Terrier.

About a week or so ago he was walking home from school when something that could only be described as a large black beast attacked him. He managed to run until it cornered him in an alley. Jack assumed he was about to die, and for the first time ever he actually closed his eyes and wished that Wolf wasn't born with the birth defect. For about a minute he heard yelling and barking. When he opened his eyes to see what was going on he saw Wolf standing on top of the beast. There wasn't anything special he noticed except that Wolf had blood in his mouth and the demon had bite and claw marks.

For the past few days Jack has been feeling like he's seen more of the beasts. None have attacked him again, but he feels like they're always watching. Jack doesn't know what's going on, but he has a very bad feeling.

As for his personality, he's a loner. He prefers to stick to nature and animals rather than people. That's not to say he is unfriendly, everybody from the popular kids to the nerds like him, even if he isn't necessarily members of their clicks. His performance in school is average, but his scores in nature study's are equal to that of the valedictorian.

Other: Technically Jack can use the transformation ability on any animal with which he has a deep emotional connection, but it is the kind of emotional connection that would be impossible to recreate in an even reasonable period of time.

Jack also doesn't have any hard limit on how many times he can use his powers a day or how long the cool down time is, but if he uses it in quick succession he will quickly develop a migraine making it almost impossible to concentrate.

If Wolf is injured in a transformed state that injury will remain when he transforms back, meaning if he sustains a wound as a German Shepard that would kill him at his regular size, he will die when he transforms back. These can also be used in the opposite way to save his life.

Hmmm...Its an interesting concept, but its largely going to be ineffective in the setting and universe of this show. I'd suggest going through the first dozen episodes or so just to get a feel for things. (The show is 112 episodes long, No filler)
I"m not trying to put a damper on your fun. But in this universe, that dog would get gibbed by a standard enemy rather quickly. Again, go watch the first few episodes and learn the subject material better. We're not starting anytime soon so you've got plenty of time :)

Here, lemme help. I'm good for it.

You see, Hund. What you want is that at the D level, give your guy like one good art that sets him high above a human. Turning into a wolf is a nice idea, but a human can kill a wolf. IF transmutation's your game, start with a werewolf with superior reflexes and claws and teeth as sharp as swords. Then, work up. You want your character to start with abilities that are deadly, but limited for lack of great energy, then make them gradually stronger, so that your deadly arts are more focused and able to be used more.

Here's my character.

Hopefully this is good. If not, tell me and i'll change it.

Edit: apparently the Escapist doesn't like an accented letter next to a comma since it's appearing as...i guess a chinese character(?) On my screen so i had to take the accent off of e in Gaspe.
