that man is an intelligible unoriginal monster. but he had a valid point. just the means he used to convey that message were stolen.

I actually quite liked that. Once you get past the whole ZP rip-off, he had a lot to say, an interesting viewpoint and was quite funny.

To be honest, he's right but I think a lot of shops which function off the internet do the exact same practice. An example being, it's not exactly uncommon to find a game for £40+ in Gamestation and Game. However, if you buy from Gameplay, it usually costs £40 at most unless it's a special edition package. The only reasons why I still do it is:
1.You can't buy used games from Gameplay.
2. I don't have a credit card that functions across the internet, this may be a better thing than it sounds.
3. Sometimes, if I'm in town, I just like the idea of browsing for a game and maybe picking one up.
4. It just feels a lot better to physically hold a game and contemplate buying it than to look online and buy.

I know I'm being ripped off a lot. I know that Steam rips me off a bit. However, I will admit I'm a consumer whore who will do whatever his little sugar daddy wants for that dose of new game.

Zero Originality's thingy is very, very old [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.79258-Zero-Originality-I-thank-you]. And Themis Media already had it torn down off of YouTube. So seems to me that this is pretty much a done deal.

I can barely understand what he saying half the time. I tried listening to his video and all his words blend together into a big ball of nothing I can understand. If he is going to rip off Yahtzee he should probably learn to speak clearly like he does as well. Albeit the video did seem interesting I just couldn't understand what the guy was saying most of the time. Oh well perhaps I will try again later to make out what the guy is saying. It would help if he put some emotion into it rather than being monotone and sounding half bored.

When I buy games at Gamestop, i feel like such a......consumer. You get the same feeling when you walk out of Gamestop as if you just walked out of a pawn shop.

His diction needs serious work. Can't understand most of what he's saying. But I get the gist of it, sort of. And I do my used game shopping and trading on Amazon.

I heard him fine, I thought he had some good points too, although any one with half a brain knew a lot of those points anyway. Good thing he is telling this too people who use the Internet, knows (a lot of) his audience.

Am I the only person on earth that has a decent Game Stop near them? Seriously, I know they are mostly dicks, but the Game Stop near me is the only game store that is a reasonable distance from my house, and I don't really dislike it. Sure, it's not the greatest in the world, but my PC can't run shit (so I can only use Steam and other things like that for a few things) and I just don't like shopping online (I just like to get the things I buy when I buy them, not two weeks from when I buy them).

OT: Kind of annoying, a blatant rip off of our beloved (or not so beloved) Yatzhee, and he is more whining about a big business than anything else. I did crack a smile every now and then, but it really wasn't that funny, and I could maybe tolerate him if he did a text review, but videos are not his strong suit. Nor talking.

Why would you want to imitate ZP anyway? Sure he has plenty of viewers, but he's bitter and hates practically any game that doesn't fit his preconceived notion of perfection, which is basically every game, except for Portal.
He is a critic, he provides critique... That's what he does...
To critique is to point out the flaws on something. He hates any game that isn't the second coming of Christ. If you haven't liked any game since Portal, then it's pretty hard to consider someone a video game fan, even considering difference in opinion.
Dude he likes other games he just says the cons of the games in great detail, plus being a critic he has is own refined taste. in his latest review he said crackdown 1 was a great game for the 360. plus he sorta liked the forgotten sands, shattered memories, and god of war 3 plus more.
OT: The guy openly admits hes ripping off Yahtzee and he even makes mentions to Yahtzee. plus he makes good points about Gamestop and buying games to save money to get the best deal.

This is actually surprisingly informative. Though he doesn't count in younger gamers who if their going to buy online have to use their parent's credit/debit card. Then again, if the kid is older (i'm fifteen) handing over a piece of plastic and taking in 60 dollars in cash might be a bit less work on both parts.
How do you buy M games at Gamespot? When I was younger, I used to go to the Hobby Shop since they don't check ID, and if I went to Gamespot, I asked a random guy in the store, give him the money, and told him to buy it.
I honestly never thought of that. I usually bring a "parent". This "parent" 25% of the time was either my dad's girlfriend (my parents are divorced, just to clear that up) or my uncle. I've never bought a videogame online, but I'd assume it somehow checks that the card is attached to someone over 18? Or maybe I'm making things up.

I stopped watching because I couldn't understand a bloody thing he was saying, and because I don't buy used games so this isn't relevant to me anyway.

Yahtzee isn't a sacred cow fellas. In fact, the new show on the escapist (which I loved by the way), started as an unabashed Yahtzee homage on youtube as well. Zero Originality answers a lot of common questions about Gamestop and what it's like to work there.
I'm sure it does but the guy mumbles more than a person who mumbles a whole fucking lot.

'Gamestop rips you off by *incoherent mumbling* much like *incoherent simile or metaphor*'
I've probably watched it through 3-4 times, honestly never had a problem understanding him.

I can't understand half the things he says so I stopped halfway through.

hhhahahah love all the rage
I dont really care about this much because the only reason I found the escapist is because of pure pwnage's ZP style "Nahtzee" review. so yeah, whatever, everyone chill out. imitation is the sincerest form of something or other...
