I like him simply because you can tell his humour comes from him and not copied from someone else.
Not exactly, if you're aware of the work of Victor Lewis-Smith or Charlie Brooker, there are definite similarities in style and presentation.

That said, he's still the main reason I'm here.

I think it was Ubisoft...
It was EA with their Dante's Inferno box of wrath.
I thought that was part of Ubisoft's new DRM.

Memes, although they can be done properly, are usually just lame jokes for the uncreative and unfunny.

And why do people insist on calling it awesomeface?

I saw a meme where a collector says "assuming control of this thread". I never saw it before and was completely new, either that or it isn't very popular. And i'm just talking in circles, again.

Does he even read these threads?
Doubtful. Between the piles of mail, working, writing, making his game and opening his Mana Bar thing I doubt he spends much time browsing forums. It's possible, but I doubt it.
He has to read something when he quotes specific forum replies in his "Extra Punctuation" segments.
I assumed those were either sent in to him directly or from the threads attached to his Zero/Extra Punctuation segments rather than random forum threads containing his name. Perhaps you're right though. Maybe you should ask him.
Well, it -was- an assumption. But grabbing them from PM's or email would make sense too.
It's just that some of those quotes look like they were replying to something.
