He already said way back when that he doesn't like it, nor does he like 40k. Trying to get him to review it is an exercise in futility.Silentpony said:Yahtzee needs to stop pissing off us nerdy types and review Space Marine.
I'd like to see what he thinks of non cover based 3rd person shooting without regenerating health, good close combat action, more than 2 weapons, no shifty vehicle section, no out of place romance, a clear goal and story structure and a jetpack.
He'd probably think it was trying too hard come to think of it...
Considering the character proportions in GoW (seriously, next time you play it - if ever - pay attention whenever Marcus has to speak to someone on the com...his index finger is wider than his entire ear) I'm pretty certain that a stealth-based GoW game would be absolutely, hilariously improbable. It'd be like playing a refrigerator sneaking up on the washer and dryer.FPLOON said:Then again, a stealth-based Gears of War sounds almost too good to be an actual idea, though...
I'd play that.RJ 17 said:It'd be like playing a refrigerator sneaking up on the washer and dryer.
You know what? Even as I was clicking the "Post" button, I was thinking to myself: "That...actually could be a fun game."Pyrian said:I'd play that.RJ 17 said:It'd be like playing a refrigerator sneaking up on the washer and dryer.
I hate to break it to you but Jazz Jackrabbit doesn't survive retrospective either. If you go back and play it, you'll realize that it was a terrible rip-off of sonic that didn't understand the timing of when sonic games had the screen lag behind the player. If you actually try playing at the speed the game indicates you should, your character will never be on-screen.LordTerminal said:Well maybe back in the days he and Epic made Jazz Jackrabbit, Cliff was worth defending but not here and now damnit! GoW is crap. And when I'm forced to say about something that has chainsaws and John DiMaggio in the same place, something is fundamentally wrong here.
He has sort of reviewed it, but only in an extra punctuation. Here's the link:erttheking said:He already said way back when that he doesn't like it, nor does he like 40k. You can carry a fridge around, and then when spotted, drop the fridge and hide behind it. XDDevieus said:Stealth based cover shooter? I sure do love me some Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It's not exactly the size of a fridge, but I wouldn't be surprised if Adam has a beer cooler in there somewhere.
