Good on you, Yahtzee!

This was a well thought out review with plenty of punctuation. I guess Yahtzee is a little tired of mercilessly bashing games.

And about "those carts the fatties ride around on". I used to work at Albertson's (which is a grocery store for those who have never walked in one)

I have a fond memories of that. Particularly of elderly people getting it stuck after ramming it into a display and refusing to stop accelertating.

My favorite moment with that was when a man went up to me and asked, "Do you have the electric chair here?"

"Excuse me?" I replied.

"Oh you know...the electric chair."

"I'm sorry but I don't know what you're referring to."

"You know that chair with the power."

"I'm still confused. Sorry, sir but we use lethal injection in this state."

Holy crap, Yahtzee reviewed a game he liked! lol and ya, sure the game has very minor flaws but it's still one hell of a great game. Bout time the PS3 had one, don't you think? Lol

And I wish they'd drop the moral system crap.. or make it far more interesting at least.

Aside from the fact that I'm definately getting this game, yahtzee needs to stop with the tasteless political jokes about republicans that only gets ignorant overly-sensitive radical liberals to laugh. My point is, if it's not even slightly true, then it won't be funny. I think anyone with a brain can guess that I'm a conservative at this point and if there was a joke about Democrats relating to communists then I still wouldn't laugh because that's not true either. Why not make jokes about evil/stupid people that no one likes (Kim-Jong-Il, Saddam)? As a bonus, this will inturn prevent flame wars in the threads about unrelated topics.
More people laugh when you insult someone/something that we don't all hate.

Also, do you think yahtzee gives a damn if a flamewar starts over joke?
nope, he realizes the escapist is full of idiots and fanboys so he couldn't care less about the responses. I know he won't read my post but I have anough free time to give my opinion on it.

Oh, the irony.
I think there is a misunderstanding here. It it just a sugestion to stop using politics in his reviews. I'm not angry at it, and I stop caring after I gave my opinon on the joke but since both you feel as though you have to dedicate posts on the matter and be a jerk about it, I now have to point out that I cleary said it was a joke in my first post, it was just bad. Not to mention your both telling me to get over it when it's you who should get over my post, don't respond, and move on. I know it's a joke but I liked it better when he reviewed the game with clever metaphors and similies that made us fall out of our chairs. I would prefer if you don't respond to this either.

I was just criticizing the bad joke, which is also freedom of speech.

Now I want to see him review Prototype. He liked Spiderman from what I remember, and it is a well done Spidermanish game. That and from his review, inFamous seems to be a lot like prototype, minus the moral system. Prototype just allows you to blow shit up, there is no side picking. Both sides are out to kill you, if anything you are neutral, just a very destructive neutral.

Wow, I was thrilled to see nobody in the early comments being suspended or banned. At least not for trying to get in early.

You know. Me and Yahtzee have to agree on something.

The whole "good" and "evil" killed this game for me. While I enjoyed the graphics, the game play, and everything it was this BIG COMPLAINT as Yahtzee put it that made me hate this game.

I want to act like Yahtzee here and say that most games that say "free roam" anywhere in the name is automatically deterred by two facts. 1. You have free roam, but you have a time limit (al la Dead Rising) and 2. You have repercussions when you do something good or evil. Good, you get more abilities, but they are less powerful. Evil you have more power, but less variety of weapons.

This is why I am interested in the game Prototype that uses Alex Mercer who is a gray character. You can be a son of a ***** and not care because you gain power no matter what you do. You are super human SOB that can do what they like, but the main goal is to kill the SOBs who did whatever happened to you.

Alex's character is someone who what I call and Anti-hero. Not good, but not bad either. Just a man who is trying to survive and find answers.

I thought it was a good joke. Then again, I am capable of laughing at myself, though I'm not a republican, I'm not a democrat either. I vote for who deserves to win or at very least puts up the best case for candidacy. Laughing at yourself is essential to being able to make fun of people, otherwise you are just a hypocrite. I'm not calling you one, but I hope you get my meaning from this.

yeah, i'd have like to have seen more variety, but by polarizing the powers, you forse the player doawn a path where the cinematics will seem better suited to what your character has done.
i got the game last week, LOVE IT except for the polarizing systrem, but i can understand it. i guess.

I too feel sorry for you, especially since Yahtzee laid out the Socialist plan right there in front of you at the end of the video. Maybe not exactly the plan, but damn close enough.

Other than that sad tidbit at the end, great review Yahtzee.
I feel sorry for anybody that hates freedom and truthiness.

As he beat me to the irony mark I will try to explain this first. You called anyone who would laugh at this joke ignorant and overly-sensitive. This is ironic as you are being amazingly over sensitive about this joke and given your mass attack on any one who found it funny you are also being more than a little ignorant. However it was not the fact that you did not get it was a joke that makes it ironic. That and you would prefer it if people did not respond what sort of crap is that? If you don't want a response don't say any thing other wise grow up.

Torture is a conservative initiative? I'm sorry, but if I quoted some of the initiatives proposed by the radical left, we'd see plenty of frightening things. I'm talking not about the majority of left wingers, but some of the nuttier ones. There is nothing conservative about torture. Not even in recent years. Oh yeah, and plenty of democrats signed off on that stuff, too. Yahtzee didn't say anything about torture. He said that a truly evil person will pretend to be not so evil while they gather power and then seize totalitarian control. I see no such pattern in even the bush administration. Bush was up front about his beliefs. If we made every president who started a war on shaky grounds a war criminal, then they would all be criminals. Jefferson, Lincoln, Wilson, and FDR would all be warmongering war criminals. I'm not trying to defend warfare, I'm just trying to point out that myopic political views are gathering on the left now that they are in power. AND THEY AREE THE ONES IN FRIFCKIN POWER!!!!!!! Stop your bitchin! Your guy is in power. I said the same things to Republicans when Bush was in power.

And now that I think about it, Yahtzee showed an image of (supposedly) himself in front of a poster of Che Guevara. Talk about evil. What a mass murdering f*ck pot. Yahtzee deserves a middle finger for that. I'm not saying that he should have his free speech infringed in any way. I'm just saying that yahtzee can F*ck himself. How would someone who was tortured in Luchabania (sp) prison feel about that? Speaking of f*cking torture!
