Nikki peeks out in the corridor before rushing towards the dressing room in her birthday suit. Her now serenely flowing hair the only thing hiding any of her, but beautifully so, perfectly complementing her subtle features, the frame to the work of art that is Veronica.
Something stops her in her tracks. She looks around, thinking; What is this feeling? Her breathing slows, reaching a halt and she listens, then looks around. A face. She jolts as the window at the far end of has one of those despicable creatures staring back at her. Completely frozen, she stares at it in a mix of wonder and fear. They can climb too? She instinctively covers herself up, then shrugs it off. A smile even creeps it way to her face. Well, under the circumstances... Veronica gives a very short giggle, then just strolls off to the dressing room.
She tries locker after locker, some of them locked. Nikki takes great care in not slamming them shut, she assumes at least a few downstairs would be sleeping by now and doesn't want to wake them, nor anyone rushing up here with guns. Finally she finds the uniform. It looks like something she'd never have worn in her life, but... things were different now. She slips it all on, humming as she does, finding the mere feel of clean clothes invigorating in and of itself, even if it doesn't fit perfectly. A few finishing touches on her hair as she finds a mirror. She does a few classic police poses, then stops herself. Grow up! This is not the time!
Veronica almost skips along down the corridor until she notices the creature in the window is gone, giving her both a cold realization and chill down her spine. A sigh escapes her and slouches the rest of the bit, until the stairs. She puts on her best smile before going down in her new outfit. "Well?" She asks as the first pair of eyes turns her way.
