Vinny sees 10 zombies packed into the small office. One lunges out of the room and tackles Vinny against the wall. Vinny presses a pistol against the zombie's lower jaw. He pulls the trigger, and the zombie falls backward. Vinny switches to his MP5 and fires into the crowd, killing them all in one fell swoop. An overturned desk is to the right of the entrance. Terrence is laying motionless in the far corner of the room. A silver-plated pistol is in his hand. Vinny uses the evidence to piece together what happened.
Terrence, for some reason, didn't go with Malachi or Craig. He tried to fend off the crowd by himself with a pistol. The horde surged forward, forcing him back into the hallway, where he was flanked by more zeds from the alleyway. Terrence then ran into the manager's office and locked the door. He pushed a desk in front of the door in a desperate attempt to barricade it. 15 minutes later, the monsters broke through the barricade and surged forward. As they filled the room, Terrence fainted. That's when Vinny came in.
"Terrence, wake up! It's Vinny!" he urges. Not receiving a response, he slaps Terrence a few times, to no avail. "Craig, we got any water?" No response. Craig must not have heard him. He runs out into the alleyway and breaks the back door to a restaurant open. The restaurant is completely filled with crows. "Oh shit." Vinny announces as the crows swarm out of the building. Thinking quickly, Vinny jumps into a dumpster. It's mercifully empty. He listens for the flapping of wings. It eventually ceases and Vinny hops out. He runs into the restaurant and goes into the kitchen.
Vinny hears a voice begging for help coming from the walk-in freezer. He assumes that somebody hid in their and got trapped. Vinny opens the door, and a man wearing a chef's apron lashes out with a butcher knife, slashing Vinny multiple times. "Oh look, more meat!" The shock of suddenly being stabbed leaves Vinny absolutely terrified. He throws the kitchen doors open and dives under a table. The butcher must have gone psychotic from seeing his colleagues die. The psychosis has made him impervious to cold and, probably, pain. The chef jumps out of the kitchen and Vinny shoots him in the shoulder. The man doesn't even blink.
Yep, he can't feel pain. Vinny gets to his feet and shoots the chef in the wrist, making him drop the butcher knife. In that moment of recoil, Vinny drop-kicks him, sending the chef flying back into the kitchen. His head slams into a steel counter. He's down for the count. Vinny aims the pistol at the man's head.
Is he worth killing? Vinny relents and leaves him there.
He quickly grabs a pitcher and fills it with water from the sink. He runs back to the gun shop manager's office and splashes Terrence with the water. "Terrence, wake the fuck up!"
