High-mane heared the warning shouted from Fire-Arm. He howled softly, warning to keep away from the Flesh-beings. He also saw a new arrival, a female. He didn't see her before she stepped into the light. Strange. He should have seen her, heard her, smell her with that scent of perfume.

This confused him. He stopped about 300 meters away from the light. He saw a glitter of silver, a knife, a bolt, a bullet.

They needed to get this right at the first strike. Silver wounds couldn't be cured..

[Sparrow toyed with the warship, slowly going over every control and it's individual use. He shifted the landing gear into place, and swivled the carrier 180 degrees around, pointing toward the APC.]

Awright, still got it.

Samuel saw the carrier move. His eyes widened when he saw a gigantic carrier move towards him. The party spread, trying to avoid the plane. The carrier was aligned with the APC, to that the vehicle could ride in without manouvering.

"All right Sparrow!" Samuel shouted. He was elated that something went right, for once. In a few days, perhaps tomorrow, they would be in the UK.

[Shift]

High-Mane saw the strange construct move, it turned. He looked at the glesh-beings and they looked happy. He couldn't figure out why. Perhaps this wasn't the day of the hunt. Perhaps they should wait for a few hours. Too many unknowns were there. The strange scent of perfume, and the construct moving suddenly. And the silver weapons everywhere...

He howled, calling off the hunt. He pounced up a nearby stone-box and looked down upon the flesh-beings. He would wait, watch and wait. Figure out what was happening...

High-mane looked at the flesh-beings, and saw the hunter step out of the shell. It was the one that had held off his kin when they attacked the rock-shelter, and had kept him from tearing Flame-Arm to pieces. He grinned. He had tasted his blood. It was delicious.
