So, where did I end up?
*Andy extracates herself from her little pile of stuff, kneels, and looks around*

*She notices something a little way off*
Car park with a giant hole in it. Not quite so okay
*A short amount of time passes as she gets up and does a quick recconoitre around the car park; The portal is attatched to the wall of a toll-booth type building in the middle of a decimated car park. A sign, partially obscured by the portal, reads "Ape... Sci...".

[Sparrow grew weary of his cell. He had to escape, but he was no idiot. Wolves surrounded him. They covered every possible escape route.

He was in no fit state to fight, so he decided to try and get some information. He walked up to the tightly shut door, and peeped through a small slot, where the light peeked through.]

Hello? Is anyone there?

Quiet young brother. You are not in harms way, growled the guard.

Really? I have scars to prove otherwise.

What did you expect? You slayed Red-Fang, High-Mane's own son.

[Sparrow paused, contemplating the events that happened before he was brought to this small room.]

Why am I here? Surely if High-Mane was that angry, he would have killed me.

I do not know why your here, but I suggest you keep your head down while you are. High-Mane is not in the greatest of moods, as you may have guessed.

[Sparrow sat back down on the hay. It wasn't like he could do much else.]

Portal's Log. May 12th.

It's been a while. A long while. And I was right. I do have to go back. At least she was tolerable this time. I guess she got a different definition of jerk when Aperture raided. Not that I'm surprised. My radiation has wreaked havoc on my body. I'm too weak to walk and my throat is so hoarse, I can barely speak. I've resorted to a wheelchair and chalkboard.

NOTE TO SELF: Find a keyboard, speakers, and a copy of Microsoft Sam.

Chris and I tricked Shar into the APC. We shut the door and sped off before he could blink. I hope the guys won't be pissed, but I think they'll understand. We also need to pick up Zapper. He must be a lot worse off than me. But he does have the werewolf thing, so it's probably not as noticeable.

When I connecting with the complex, I thought I heard Andy in the warship. When I came through, only Doc was there. He looked really confused. He'dbetter not be eating those mushrooms again. I told him those are MINE.

I'd better stop now. My pencil's getting pretty short, and I might need it for something else.

Samuel glanced at the compass on the dashboard. East was dead ahead. He drove out of the bushes and onto the hardened road. The wild, roaring engine was completely different from what the APC felt like.

He checked the radio, seeing that it was still operational. He called in on an open channel and broadcasted:

"Zapp, or Sparrow, if one of you can hear this please respond."

He put the message on auto-loop and drove on. The dog watched him. Its unwavering gaze had something ancient about it, like it understood.

The moon dissapeared behind the trees as the night moved on. Samuel was shivering, he wished he had put on a jacket, or something like a vest. Hell, even the bullet-proof armor would be preferrable to this cold.

 

[Sparrow]

[As he observed the human, he wondered in his head. His scent was drawn toward the human's vehicle that night. Drawn toward one specific human. He was fairly certain that the boy was the right choice.

But what if he'd been wrong?

Could he possibly had been drawn to this human's scent? He wondered.]
