My door's locked and so is the bathroom door, so it'd take more than a second for them to get to me ;) However, I'd grab my bag with my course notes in and throw it at the nearest one, then run up the narrow staircase in my room to where my bed is. I have a fold up chair there that I can use to beat the hordes back with, only one zombie can get up the stairs at a time so it'll be easy to fight them off.
You have a staircase in your room?!
Oh yes, I'm in university accomodation on campus and every fifth floor (top floor) room on the front facing side of the building, so about 32 out of 360 rooms on site have two floors due to the shape of the top of the building. I'm very lucky in that regard, there's a study area on the bottom then a staircase up to the actual bedroom up top :) Have to pay a couple of quid extra a week, but it's barely anythng so definitely worth it x)

I would swing my DS which has a wrist string on it at the zombie(im holding it right now). while its stunned and recovering, I'd stretch my arm a bit and grab my gas mask filter(detached from mask) and bash its skull in until it was a unrecognizable mess, even if the zombie stopped functioning first. If that failed, I'd grab this thinkpad I'm using and give the zombie something to think(pad) about.

MacBook Pro. 1RU UPS. 2 2RU IBM's. Three Chairs. A couple of dead power supplies. And most importantly, some stairs.

If I'm at home, I'm mostly prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse.

Side Note:

I'm not scared by the H1N1 virus (swine flu), what I am scared about is the fact that despite having so much warning (for countries outside of the America's), the infection has spread so far. If Solanum ever actually hits on a wide scale, we're going to be buggered and fast.

But I'll be ready.
if the swine flu is the cause of a zombie opocolipse(i know i spelled it wrong, bite me) then keep quarentined for a day or two and they will all drop dead.
*gasp*bad spelling?! you will not get away with this: random internet person!

It's not. And I didn't imply that it was. Also, the appropriate spelling for Apocalypse was in the post you quoted. My worry is that we had X much warning here in Australia, and we went from 30 infections to 150 overnight, and now we're however high we are. As a world we do not have the capacity to contain a contagion fast enough. The Chinese did pretty good with the bird flu thing, but the rest of us just seem to drop the ball a lot.

Australia, for example, has no laws to enforce a home quarantine - at least that they're enforcing at the moment. Anyone with the swine flu is free to roam wherever they will. What happens when we have Zombies doing their thing, the Society for the Humane Treatment of the Un-Dead appears?!

Leeds, doing Maths. You have to be careful though. There's plenty of different colleges and universities in Leeds, so you need to avoid mixing them up. The one I go to is the University of Leeds (the true one) but there's also Leeds Metropolitan University (the Met), Leeds Trinity, and all the technical colleges and so on...
