What machine? Jack can already control every full zombie with his mind, at least I thought so. He doesn't need a machine, just a safe place to store his body.

No! I was talking about Carver's sound emulator. You ninja'd me, so i'd understand if you would've been confused by that.

((ok I get it now. I'm gonna eat dinner and then I'll write the post. Luckily the auditory cortex is a tiny thing, so he could shut them all off with no risk of being immobilized. Same with the upgrade to the motor cortex, if it were a lobe, it would be much more problematic. I guess while I'm here I should ask how I'm going to find Alan. I was thinking of using Christie seeing as she is a spy and all and she would have been briefed on where all the secret hide outs were in the area, but I don't know.))

((No, but I chatted with her yesterday I believe. ))

"Adries. Sis, wake-up," Alan said, nudging his sister a few times before slamming down his fist on the desk.
"Holy jesus on a unicycle!" Adries yelled, rubbing her now throbbing head, "What?! What in the world would cause you to do that!?!"
"That's how you reply? Not 'Oh brother, thanks for creating the anti-viral and letting me be the first one to take it'," he mocked, putting a syringe in front of her, "Perfectly safe. I've already made sure it'll work on you."
"Shit, wow. This is pretty amazing. Sorry Alan, just wasn't thinking...Ummm can you do it?" she asked, uncomfortable with injecting herself.
Alan smiled, getting a chair and prepping. It was a quick shot, like it wasn't even there.

"Now, going to get Lisa's. After that I'm going to work on something else that you might like," he said cheerfully, heading back into the lab.

Meanwhile...

JD strapped himself into the car before remembering something.

“Wait a sec, what about Christie? We can't just leave her behind.” JD said, jumping back out the car.

“Keep my seat warm, I'm going back for her.” JD said, speeding back into the police station, searching for the crazy army lady.

"Shit....." Carver murmured as he saw more zombies getting up. He got out and began to fend the undead off.

"Hurry it up JD!" He said as he let loose a storm of bullets from his MP-7

JD stopped and turned around to Carver. He gave him a thumbs up before leaping through the entrance of the station. Several shamblers stood in his way as he appeared through the doorway. They lunged at him, barring their sharp nails and teeth. Their was many of them, but they posed no threat to the boy. He quickly sidestepped and evaded the shamblers, making sure he didn't damage them too much. Once he was clear of the Commons, he called out for Christie.

“Hey Crazy Army Lady! We're getting ready to leave! Are you coming or not?!” His voice bounced off the walls.

“Where the hell is she?” He says starting to walk down the halls of the station.

Damn it's been a while! Sorry guys!

Christie was packing up her gear. She was ready to leave now. They had stopped moving. She knew where they were. Even the anger she had from having her radio stolen didn't deter her.
She'd sneak away and get moving into the forest. After that she'd inform Jack. She kicked the glass out of a sealed window, passing her bag through first before moving her leg through to climb out.
"Hey Crazy Army Lady!"
"Shit."

Lisa woke from her sleep. It was a disturbed but needed sleep from the hours of walking they'd had yesterday and the paranoid alertness she'd retained while on the train. She looked around for Alan or Adries.
"Guys?" She called out.

"Yeah?" Adries asked, munching on some chips she had found. "Oh hey Lisa you're awake! I mean, duh you're awake. Alan has whipped up a batch of anti-viral, already gave me mine," Adries said triumphantly, "Now I can be bitten and not become one!"

"Though I'm pretty sure you don't want to be bitten," Alan said, rubbing his eyes and putting another syringe on the table, "Would you like to do it yourself Lisa or are you going to force me to do it like Adries?"
"I don't like putting needles in my arms!" Adries spat back.
"So, that means you've done it before then?"
"Well no...but I'm pretty sure I couldn't do it," Adries replied.
"You'd be a horrible junkie."

((Won't be on too much today due to family flying in and stuff. I'll try to get away when I can. ))

Jack was surprised at the turn of events, and his good fortune hidden within them. The survivors would now think they had a way to paralyze the zombies, he would save that information for one day, but he already knew how to stop it from occurring. He shut down the auditory cortex in the temporal lobes and instead focused the regeneration into the motor cortex. It was only redirection of abilities, so it wasn't taxing on him in the slightest. Next time the survivors saw the zombies, even the most basic of shamblers would be marginally faster and more agile. The entire horde was more efficient and deadly now, but deaf. This wasn't a setback though, the hearing of a shambler or leaper was already poor, and it seemed the special infected were unaffected by the tone.

Jack had all zombies not already paralyze retreat from the survivors, he would let them escape. He already knew Christie wasn't with them, now was the perfect time to talk to her. Jack started to have any zombies away from the survivors search for Christie, he would find he in the city or forest, not in the police headquarters.

JD calmly walked through the halls, noticing that the zombies weren't attacking him anymore. It was strange, but at least he didn't have to kill any.

"Christieeeeeeeee? We're leavingggggggggggggg...Last chanceeeeeee..." He whined, before shrugging his shoulders and leaving.

As he got outside, he noticed that the zombies weren't around the car anymore. But he did noticed the dead zombies laying around the car.

"Well, looks like you worked overtime, doesn't it?" JD said to Carver, getting into the passenger's seat.

"I couldn't find Christie. But I'm sure she's in no real trouble. Now, shall we search for Alan and the others?" He said, clicking the seatbelt into it's socket.

Christie smirked and flung herself through the window.
How pathetic.
Grabbing her bag, looking at the GPS and starting off, at a almost dash to get away as quickly as she could. It was going to be a long walk. She'd packed anything she needed. She still had the first aid kits that Jack had given her. She jogged for a good 10 minutes until she was far away from the station, eventually slowing and starting to walk.

Lisa stared at the syringe then to Alan.
"...Don't worry, I can do it." She assured before taking the syringe. She thought for a moment then rolled up her sleeve.
"In the arm, right?"

Carver hoped in and closed the door. As he buckled in, he looked at JD. "Not exactly 'overtime'.... they just started running away. I think we should leave now. It doesnt feel right."
He turned the motor of the SUV and it roared to life.
"Where are the others?"

JD gave him a puzzled look.

"That's...the hard part." He said, scratching his chin.

"I think we should go back to the trainyard. It was the last place we seen them. If we go back there, and maybe investigate around the area, then maybe we can find their trail." JD said, putting his mutated brain to good use.

Jack had a leaper in near Christie and it spotted her in between leaping from rooftop to rooftop. Jack decided to have it follow her for a few seconds to gauge her reaction before confrontation. He knew better than to blindly trust Christie with not attacking him. It would be a futile attack, but he would rather avoid a fight where he could to keep himself from becoming battle weary before fighting Alan, or so he told himself.
