"As they do mine as well. As they do mine." Jack said as the approached the hotel. It was a former five star hotel that had catered exclusively to only the most rich and powerful of the city's visitors. Zombies could be seen moving around and clearing debris and trash from the times before Jack had lead the zombies.

"This is one of the things I plan to do once this is over, rebuild the city and keep it maintained as if nothing had ever happened. A living history that enough will know to make it meaningful and worthwhile. We will begin inside of a conference room on the second floor, if you will follow me." Jack said as he walked to the building and the stairs.

"No electricity means no elevators, keep that in mind when you pick where to sleep."

((I'm gonna play dragon age so I won't post much if at all.))

"Huh, I wish I would have remembered what train they were in," Jacobs said, trying to remember what his last view of the place looked liked, "Well, it would have been one of the trains to the right of the one we took I believe..."

"Huh, I wonder what we would get him...Maybe a soda...actually scratch that I'd probably drink it all if there are still any," Adries said, already craving the taste of soda.

((Alright. That was my last post. Going hiking now. Bye! ))

"Thanks for the tip. Although, A little exercise won't kill me. Got to stay in the best shape I can. They haven't done a bad job. It's almost brand new." Christie remarked as she jogged up the stairs.
I think I could get used to living somewhere like this.

JD trotted to the train they last inhabited, jumped up to the conductor's car, and looked out the window, trying to get a mental image of what's missing. It was dark when they first ventured into the trainyard (and JD was blind for a majority of the time), but he was certain that something would break through. He stood at that window for several minutes, taking note of everything was there (and anything that wasn't). Then he noticed something. the tracks near the track switcher weren't vacant the last time they were here. JD grinned.

"Damn Jacobs, you were right! Good job!" JD said patting the soldier on the back before facing the rest of the crew.

"Alrighty then, the tracks to the right of us use to have a train on them. As you can now see, the train is gone. I say we follow those tracks, and see where they lead." JD said, stepping in between the now-vacant tracks, searching the horizon.

"We should take the SUV. Searching for a working train would take too long." JD said, moving the chain-link fence with his mind.

"Let's get the SUV over these tracks. It'll be too hard to follow the tracks on the street level." He says to Carver, walking over to their gas guzzling behemoth.

JD nodded and got in his seat. As the remainder of the crew piled in, JD pointed towards the trainyard.

“I moved the fence so it would be easier to move on to the tracks.”

“Well then, lead the way Carve!” JD said.

Jacobs smiled at being congratulated, going back into the SUV as they drove along the tracks. "Well, this is good. It'll probably take quite awhile to get there...I believe he said it'd take awhile," Jacobs told them.

"Alright, I'm going to go tell Alan. Then we'll head out," Adries said as she stood and went to the lab.

“Alright then, I'm gonna close my eyes for a bit.” JD said to Jacobs.

“Carver, don't do the same, okay?” JD said before dozing off.

"Thank you, it took some time to clear everything out, and the process is still ongoing. This building was left surprisingly intact, and others in similar condition are being cleared out all over the city. I am focusing on the least important and least damaged buildings first. That way, should I lose, the city will not be usable by the survivors for any real purpose. The city will not have running water or electricity until this is over, if at all.

About the rooms though, I suggest staying to the lower floors, as there is no real reason to go to the upper floors. The hotel had it's own pool, fitness center, and spa. We have cleaned those areas of debris and garbage, but they are not staffed. So while you can work out, don't expect a masseuse on hand." Jack joked as he went up the stairs and into the conference room.

((I'm basing the hotel off of this one.

Though I am probably royally fucking with the floor plan, I figure something along those lines is fitting considering the general idea of where we are.))

Elsewhere...

Hours Pass.

JD's black eyes blinked open. He sat up in his chair and rubbed his head and neck.

“Ugh...I just had this strange dream” JD said to no one in particular.

“...I was playing the last level in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, but I could only use pepper spray...” He mumbled, still half-asleep.

Then he sprung awake. Something caught his eye. His enhanced sight spotted a lone train in the distance. A small town lays far to the right of the train.

“Well boys, it looks like our destination is coming up in another hour or so.” JD said.

"Pity. Are you sure you can't get one of those shamblers to give me a shiatsu?" Christie replied to the joke, "I suppose I'll just have to just treat myself to the exclusive work out and spa instead. Oh cruel fates."
She took a seat on one of the dark leather seats against the conference table, getting comfortable.

"Alright, no problem." Lisa agreed before getting up too and finishing the last few chips.

About an hour later, Carver pulled into the edge of the town and coasted in to a parking lot.
"It looks quiet. Whaddya think?" Carver said scanning the street.

Adries came back quickly, grabbing her bag and leading Lisa out. "Alan doesn't really want us to go, so we must make our way out before he even realizes it," she told Lisa, opening the sealed door to the outside.

"Alright, we must go...northwest," Adries said, looking at the map then looking at a compass she had found.

((Might be back on in a bit. Bye. ))

"Unfortunately, I have bigger problems than teaching zombies and myself massage therapy. Though I'm sure it's somewhere on my to do list after making sure we all aren't killed off. Now down to business.

I'll start us off, as my developments are rather large in scale. JD had me perform an autopsy of the brain of a shambler and a leaper, and while we found that the lobe responsible for personality and thought is small thought can be returned to the zombies. This would require a massive amount of concentration on my part, enough to lead to a symbolic death to restore their sentience. Their minds in exchange for my own, it seems. JD does have his telekinetic powers back, and he apparently thinks I don't know. He brakes a link I create, and thinks I won't notice apparently. That new human who broke you out of the cell that was meant to keep you all alive developed a tone that causes paralysis in lower forms of zombie when heard. I have countered this by making every zombie deaf and instead using that energy to work on the motor cortex, thus making both shambler and leaper a little more faster and agile. That is the brief overview in what has happened with my horde." Jack explained.

Christie took it all in, laying back in the seat.
"JD, hm...he did seem to have a fair amount of power. I was planning on informing you about him, but It seemed my mind slipped on your mental links. He would do well on your side, too bad about his incapability to see your side of the argument. I'll add that those leapers surely can't get much faster? Heh."
Something was nagging at her though,
"You can return sentience to the zombies...as in make them 'human' again?"

Lisa tsked as she swung her bag over her shoulder.
"Sneaking out again. You really are a bad influence on me Adries." She muttered jokingly before leading on quietly.
