"Alright." Carver replied. "Navigate for me. I cant remember the way there."
He sped off away from the middle of the city.

Christie gave a stretch as she wandered trying to think of how long it would take her to get there. Maybe a few days if she hiked and moved as quickly as she could. That could pose a threat to her though.
She stopped and took her bag off her shoulders before taking out another HOOAH! Bar and taking a bite. Her stomach growled.
If I'm hiking, I need to keep my strength up, maybe some rationing, good thing they didn-...
Her trail of thought was cut off by the Leaper that was staring at her.
She blinked twice. Her hand went for her gun but then remembered something. A smirk hit her as she moved her hand from her rifle and gave a wink at the Leaper.
"Hi Jack."

JD grinned. Getting to the trainyard shouldn't be to hard for him.

“Well, I didn't live to far from the trainyards. Getting to the place will be easy. The hard part will our next step.” JD said, pointing Carver in the direction towards their destination.

Jack had the scorcher teleport him out as he saw Christie wasn't going to attack, at least not yet. He appeared next to the leaper with the scorcher, he promptly sent the leaper off.

"Talking to them would be pointless at this point, they're deaf now. I have a few developments to fill you in on, and I have some information I would like to collect from you as well. I'm sorry about the conditions you lived in at the station, but it would have been suspicious if I had separated you. I have cleared out a very nice hotel in the city where you might stay if you wish, but I would rather not continue this conversation on the streets. The longer we stay out in the open, the greater the chance of someone finding us."

"A hotel? Much better than sleeping in this fucking woods like I had to. Lead the way. We'll speak there. I've got a lot to tell you anyway." Christie replied to him, finishing the bar and crumbling the wrapper in her fist.

"I will warn you now, there is no running water or electricity as you have probably noticed by now. I figured it would be better to have a bed to sleep in though. I can always have some of my horde bring water and heat it for your purposes however. They will also hunt for food in the forests, which are becoming rather lively again with the zombies in the city and not hunting them out of the area. I hope venison and turkey are to your liking, because they will be very popular items to bring back. Now I'm sure you're wondering why I'm doing all this, but I do believe in taking care of those that happen to be fighting on my side or at least working with me for whatever reason. Those that work with me make it some much easier than those who resist." Jack said as he started to walk toward the hotel with the scorcher beside him.

((Another day where I won't be on much. This'll probably stop on Tuesday, when my family departs. ))

"No, you have to inject it in your eye!" Adries yelled dramatically, mimicking jabbing a needle in her eye.
"The arm will suffice," Alan told Lisa as he went back to work.
"Killjoy," Adries muttered, looking over a small map of the area, "Let's see, a farm! And a small, little town! What an exciting place..."

Lisa took the syringe and pierced her left arm, pushing the plunger down. Her eyes began to water and she removed it quickly.
"Ow. All done...."
She got up and went to the map.
"Were you expecting something more exciting?" Lisa laughed wiping her eyes.

"Here I was thinking you had a soft spot for me." Christie smirked following him, "Vension, Christ I haven't had that in years. That, a bed, a bath, and I should be happy."

"Well, I wasn't expecting much truth be told...but it's just so dull. I guess it's all good in the end though, we're immune now! And Alan is busy working on more stuff. So yeah, you know?" Adries replied, leaning back and taking another look at the map.

"Well that can be done. We will need to do a combination brief/debrief first, but then we will get you settled into the city. If it wasn't for my friend here..."Jack pointed to the scorcher as he kept walking "you wouldn't be having hot water among other things." Jack already sent out some leapers to collect large amounts of water to bring back for multiple purposes, when everything was done he would send the scorcher to heat the water and bring it to her.

"and who says I don't have a soft spot for the only human who is willing to work with us without lying to our faces? Your sister decided that a vaccine was more important than survival of you species. She could have simply said all of humanity when I asked for that list long ago, but instead she used it and me to buy time for Alan. You seem to be the only person not lying about their intentions, that is definitely worth something. Maybe it's just the fact I expect you to turn on me at some point. Who knows?"

Christie let out a laugh.
"I'm the last one left? Fuck, I didn't expect that. Then again, I never said my intentions were good, you just know that I'm not lying about them. Who knows Jacky-boy? I might turn on you, I might not be planning to, it's good to keep that aura of mystique."
Well what did you expect from her? Especially when it comes to him and his sister? I haven't seen anything more pathetic in my life. And I've seen a lot of sorry things. Anyway, I'm fine with the whole brief/debrief thing."

"...I can't believe that vaccine is finished! Although, it would be better if there was an amusement park or something in this town to go to celebrate."

"As I said, I wholeheartedly expect you to turn on me. I know your intentions aren't good, very few people's ever are. I do think you underestimate Alan and Adries' power though. It truly takes skill to simultaneously ruin humanity, destroy billions of lives in a matter of weeks, cause the extinction of said species, and still be able to keep everyone on your side. He isn't pathetic, hell he might just be the most powerful of us here. He doesn't need powers or authority, he only uses words. He could rule them all with an iron fist, and in a way he does, and they all beg him for more. Rather astounding how everyone goes back to the tribal mentality as soon as civilization falls apart. Says something about how far we really came in our time here, humans created a veneer of being civilized. Once the veneer fades we go right back to what we once were." Jack responded.

"We should celebrate, by eating the last of the fried chips. After that we'd only have the gross 'baked' kind," Adries said opening up the bag and putting it in between them. "Hmm, maybe we should go visit the town later on...it'll give us something to do. I dunno if Alan would like that, but he seems to be busy anyways."

"Not him. He's above being pathetic without the doubt. I'm talking about Lisa, surely it isn't just me who sees that?" Christie said coldly before considering what he had said before about civilization.
"...In the end, everything that was 'civilization' is gone within a matter of weeks. There was no such thing. When I was working for my other supieriors, I saw that. Hundreds who were looting and killing other survivors just because they could. That was about a week after it started. When laws and other such things are gone, people show their true colours. In the end, it comes down to who has the gun and who can claim power through force. I believe we know who those are...?"

Lisa took a few chips and ate them happily.
"Well, if he gets the time, otherwise we can go off on another adventure can't we? Now we see the horror, that is...Finding groceries!"

"A small town like this one was probably raided...actually maybe it wasn't. We're almost in the middle of nowhere, so maybe no one actually got to it yet. We'll see," Adries replied, eating a few chips, "It'll probably be just a me-and-you adventure, doubt we'd be able to get Alan away from his stuff."

((Going to go now. May not be back on until tonight (maybe even tomorrow). Bye! ))

"Ultimately, yes. Though it seems my species took advantage of yours and spread like wildfire in the chaos. We didn't even need guns, humans provided us with plenty of time and opportunity to spread to the point where containment was pointless. Your sister though is just a follower, she fell right into step with Alan as soon as she realized that he was her hope for survival. I can't blame her for that, she is only human after all, but I do think she was a little less big picture with the opportunity that passed. I almost wish I could force Alan to see the faces of all of those he has ruined. A parade of the damned, if you will. Six billion faces all getting a good hard look at the one who ruined their lives, and him unable to turn away. He will probably think we are just zombies, but he will probably be tormented by it if I was whispering in his ear the entire time that he created them, and ruined them. That we are his weapon, his fame, his infamy, and just watch him squirm. Maybe not even kill him, just imprison him and force him to stare into those face for the rest of his days."

"Once it started...we were concerned it couldn't be stopped. We were right...The parade of the damned seems pretty damn fitting to me. No torture, no amount of it could have the effect if he saw how many he killed. Fair enough that a good majority of them were assholes, but many didn't deserve it..." Christie spoke harshly but trailed off angrily and thought about who she'd lost because of him.

"Nothing wrong with our adventures is there? Although we should get Alan something nice if the grocery stores aren't looted, even if it's a stupid way to even attempt to thank him." Lisa said after eating another chip.

"The oldest of the turned...the shamblers. They were nowhere near deserving, they were doctors, police, firemen, nurses, rescue workers, and volunteers among others unfortunate enough to be infected early on. They thought it was a flu and tried to help those in need, and they were ruined for it. From there the better the zombie, the more time survived. The leapers were survivors of the shamblers for a while, then they got bitten in the roaming horde and turned. Specials are the longest to turn, why they came around so late is because of this. They survived the longest before they were bitten, and we are the closest to humans in mental ability. Strange how the least deserving are the most powerful. The clothes on each zombie's back is a testament to who they once were, and who they are forced to be now."

Jack said as a shambler in blue scrubs went by walking with the same speed and ability of a human. Jack noted with satisfaction that the redirection from the auditory to motor cortex was having a good effect, he knew they would never run but they could at least walk like a human, and that was definitely an improvement.

"There goes my point now." Jack said as he pointed to it. "From the scrubs it was either a doctor, surgeon, or nurse. Either way, they didn't deserve what happened to them."

Meanwhile...

Carver skidded to a halt in front of the trainyard. JD stumbled out of the car, slightly dismanlted from Carver's wreckless driving. He shook himself out of daze and faced the crew.

“Um, okay. Lets investigate around this area. Maybe if something could tip us off, like a missing train, or hell, maybe even some footprints, then we could get an idea of where Adries and the others may have went.” JD says, leaping over the chain-link fence leading to the trainyard.

Christie watched the shambler for a few seconds before looking away. It was almost enraging about how sad it was.
"No...no they didn't." She muttered under her breath with a sigh, holding her arm.
"Those were the kind who should still be fine...anyone that was dedicated until the end to others. They had and stuff have my utmost respect."
