There is a wall-o-knives, my dad collects them, behind me. Everthing from throwing knives to switchblades. :D

A small maybe 12" TV, some duct tape, a bunch of computer duster cans, and a couple keyboards.

I've actually got a few swords in here... They haven't been sharpened in years, but I still think that my dad's longsword could lop someone's head off.

I have my Bokken for Aikido, a Stanley Knife I use at work, and a pen knife in my room. And an airsoft gun with a flat battery :p

I have my old mobile phone in a drawer. If thrown that could probably do damage, it's a fucking brick.

Downstairs I have a 12 gauge O/U shotgun :D
Why do you have a bokken for aikido? Its an unarmed martial art isn't it?

Well, I'm currently in the kitchen, sooo...a hatchet, a cleaver, a handful of smaller but no less efficient cutting knives, chairs, and a yardstick.

If I'm allowed to dash about fifteen feet into my room, though, I suddenly have a Chinese dao, a pair of Indian punch daggers, a machete, and a Sig Sauer P226 Elite. On the whole, I think I'd risk the transit.
.40S&W? Railed? How's that shoot?
My particular one's chambered in .357, although I understand that .40 is the standard and preferred caliber. Mine's also not railed, and honestly when I got it I don't recall even being given the option to rail it. I understand that the P229's and P226 Combat's come equipped with a standard rail, but my Elite didn't.

As for the shot, I'm going to assume you're interested in the actual feel of it, which is very smooth. The ergonomic grip that I got built into mine definitely helps, but I've been told that even with the standard wood grip it's pretty level. Single aimed shots go almost exactly where I want them to even with iron sights, and even quick flurries of shots deliver surprisingly little recoil for a fairly high-power sidearm.

Poorly made display Katana, functional Daisho, mostly-decorative Spear (sharp though), Tai Chi Sword (sharpened, oiled and well-balanced), my Bo, a Machete, half-empty gallon of water, my keyboard, wooden Wakizashi, resin replica of a human skull, my keyring (lots of keys) and a half-empty bottle of sake.

I'd probably start with the bottle of booze then go for the keyboard or wooden knife-sword-thing. Close quarters, and everybody always underestimates improvised weapons until one breaks thier kneecap and/or face.

Aikido FTW!

You use bokken and jo, you don't spare with them but learn techniques to disarm people with them and some set kata

Not wholly, no. Aikido deals a lot with body movements and disarms like Judo or Jujitsu, but there's elements of weapons training with two-handed swords (Bokken, Katana,) dagger or knife (tanto, Wakizashi) and the fighting staff (jo, bo).

Nope. The basics of the whole martial art are based on spear and sword techniques and movements

There are katas and techniques and stuff for Bokken and Jo. We used to use wooden knifes (cant recall the proper name) to help with disarming techniques too.

My bedroom.
Katana, Roman Gladius, 18th Century Cavalry sword, 18th Century sabre, 12th Century broadword, Ancient Greek Xiphos, my dad's old Commando knife, deactivated WW2 Luger, cricket bat, baseball bat, big-ass computer monitor to crack over the opponent's head, hatchet, Warhammer models to throw as projectiles.

All swords are sharp/battle-ready. The knife could cut through solid wood with no trouble.
In essence, against Zombies I'm pretty much safe. Lots of bladed weapons to chop their heads off or crush their skills with a bat. Against terrorists with AK47s I would be boned, and against technologically superior aliens I wouldn't stand a whisker of a chance.

Though my bedroom does have a beer fridge and whiskey cabinet, so I'm well stocked for a siege! ;)

I actually have a naginata in the room with me--it's my girlfriend's, and I'm not sure why she bought it, but it's there. I also have a snowshovel (unfortunately it's made of plastic, but the handle might be a useful club), and my kitchen is just a few steps away and is well stocked with knives.
