I still enjoy ZP. But I'm the only one in my circle of friends still watching it, and even I think it's grown a bit stale. And I'm not even the one who introduced everyone to it. x3 On another note, I really like Unskippable. xD
Well atleast one person didn't bash me for re-watching the episoed and trying to see humor in it. Anyway that aside,I do agree on the "different people have different tastes" thing, that's something I won't even try to disagree on. But maybe it's just me, but sometimes it feels that Yahtzee is trying to shove his opinion on othere's, maybe it's just me. But it's just kind of feels like that, the other thing. Well this might sound, stupid, but he's theory that fans aren't allowed to have an opinion is kinda stupid. Since if I'm a fan of somethin', I'm not allowed to voice my opinion or have a saying. It's just kind of, a really bad way of trying to defend himselfe on accepting maybe that he was wrong with somethin'. Again, it's just my thought, maybe I'm wrongAmoreyna said:Amazingly enough we aren't talking about a movie here - instead this is about a 5 minute video game review. This person used to find ZP funny, they still want to find it funny so they watch it a couple of times to make sure that something didn't slide past unnoticed. Plus Yahtzee does talk very fast, it would be easy to miss something the first time around and there's absolutely no harm in watching anything more then once. Dude, how do you not see the absolute retardation in your thought process?
Keep in mind that I don't agree with Kanashe's view about ZP. Rather I find the amount of harrassment that this person is taking about their posts rather disgraceful. I have watched something more then once myself and there have been times that during later viewings I actually enjoy the show in general. People do this all the time - it does not make one slow in the head.

Well done, you earn the "I'm a big boy now because I insulted someone without them hearing straight away" award, and also sortof proved my point even more.tommo8993 said:FANBOY ALERT

If you hang around this forum for any length of time you will get fed up of people like this. Every Wednesday we get an influx of butt-hurt fanboys of whatever particular game Yahtzee has taken a shit on. The Escapist really should have a rule about this in my opinion. If anyone has anything to say about a Yahtzee review, there is a thread always open for it. People trying to start anti-Yahtzee campaigns because he verbally destroyed a game they liked is getting very very old.Kanashe said:I actually liked Yahztee in the past, but when I tried the game he called shit, I realised, how wrong he was and how much he lied.

is it just me or has ZP reached the point where its " just toying with the gravel on the big road of life"

So answering this him back in the same manner or doing something as arrogant as correcting his spelling then making a captial case out of it is okay then?

Honestly it's called his opinion, he's allowed to have it and actually his posts aren't the worse I've seen on here especially towards Yahtzee. He even says that he used to like the videos but no longer does. He seems to mistake differences in opinion for lies but that really is he's own perjogative.

Ah yes, since my profile is new then I must have only just stumbled across The Escapist, right? Actually I've been watching Yahtzee for a long time and have read through the threads concerning his episodes. It was the behavior of people posting (both sides) that kept me from making a profile for so long. I finally did to answer a completely different forum question.
Personally I'm tired of people feeling the need to start these kind of threads so that they can publically announce their change in viewing habits. It would be one thing if you didn't like a show anymore and offered reasons why and maybe how the show could be made better. Somethig that this thread is lacking greatly in. But at the same time to try and limit a person's subject matter by banning certain threads will only cause more harm then good.
He is allowed to have it. He isn't allowed to insult, troll, and defame other people, especially not employees of the very website he is posting on, without present reasons and evidence why.Amoreyna said:Honestly it's called his opinion, he's allowed to have it and actually his posts aren't the worse I've seen on here especially towards Yahtzee. No, but it means you are only just started a part of the community (Nice to meet you, by the wayAmoreyna said:Ah yes, since my profile is new then I must have only just stumbled across The Escapist, right?
I am not advocating a ban on criticism of Yahtzee. Quite the contrary, I think that the 'review' part of his reviews can be pretty innaccurate. He appeared to praise GTA 4, a pathetic vomit pile of a game, and didn't go nearly far enough in crucifying that god-awful stinky cabbage that was Fable 2, and I have said so. He really should be harsher with some of the crap that is coming out now. But there is a place already set aside for that. It isn't banning threads or censoring opinion, it is applying some common sense and the forum rules. If someone takes issue with Yahtzee then go take issue with him in the threads he makes. This isn't the right place and it is really just spam.Amoreyna said:Personally I'm tired of people feeling the need to start these kind of threads so that they can publically announce their change in viewing habits. personally, i like that he swears a lot less... it makes me not feel so bad about letting my 12 yr old nephew watch it...Aiden Rebirth said:he swears alot less, but still is very funny.
Actually, like I said before his posts are tame to some of the other stuff I've seen. On on thread I was called a whore. My point though was that his posts shouldn't be meet with the same level of anger that he has. It just keeps things dragging on. You didn't do this, but that one member who sat around and corrected his spelling and bashed him for it over and over again. That's the kind of stuff that needs to stop if we're going to get anywhere. Go back and read his last post, it's on the same page as this. It's a lot calmer without the flaming.cuddly_tomato said:He is allowed to have it. Hmmm...every time I see your name with your avatar of Butters I keep thinking about when Butters wanted to be a vampire. Anyways - yes I was long wearied of the whole anti-Yahtzee nonsense and how hostile people get over this subject. Also tired of being called a fanboy if I defend anything he's done.cuddly_tomato said:No, but it means you are only just started a part of the community (Nice to meet you, by the wayAmoreyna said:Ah yes, since my profile is new then I must have only just stumbled across The Escapist, right?), and therefore will be less wearied by the antics of these anti-Yahtzee campaigners.
Looking at GTA 4, he did go back and change his opinion saying that when he first reviewed it he was so surrounded with shit that anything even a little new looked like the second coming. Actually I have found that I do agree with him for the most part when he thinks a game is complete crap. Take Fable: TLC - I ended up getting a chance to play it after I watched his review and I though he was completely right in his negative view of the game. Did he leave some things out that would have made it look even worse? Sure he did - but he only has so much time and as simple as his animation sequences look it does take a lot of work to do them.cuddly_tomato said:I am not advocating a ban on criticism of Yahtzee.
