The Home Secretary, odious right wing fuckwit Suella Braverman, has resigned, ostensibly over a breach of the ministerial code, but probably more likely in reality because Jeremy Hunt wanted the crypto-fascist liability out of the cabinet. This makes her, I think, the shortest serving home secretary since 1834, with only 43 days in the job. (The previous shortest tenure was as part of a short term caretaker government formed by the Duke of Wellington to cover essential business before Robert Peel returned from Sardinia to form a proper government)

Her resignation letter is full of boiled piss.

Things in Westminster are very confused but it appears that the chief whip and deputy chief whip have resigned.

Deputy Chief Whip reportedly said "I am fucking furious and I don’t give a fuck anymore".

This might be the sassiest I seen conservative publications get with their headlines. Ouch.

One-party-dominated systems are wrong no matter the party. Would it kill the British to pick labor or the Lib Dems once?
For Lib Dems: why bother?
For Sir Starmer's Labour: why bother?

Further confusion as the government says the chief whip and deputy chief whip haven't resigned.

Atmosphere increasingly febrile. Truss hanging on by a thread. Remaining time could be days, or even hours. Accusations of bullying by government to it's own mps during a vote yesterday.

Resigning as literally the least popular Prime Minister in polling history, no less. That's pretty impressive flopping.

Shortest serving too, absolutely smashing the previous title holder.

Yay! The lettuce won!

But really this is the fourth Torrie PM in a row who had to resign in complete disgrace. The FOURTH!

Corner of No and Where
So how the hell did this muppet even get elected?! From what I've seen on the news and listened to on BBC, even her own party was like "how the hell did this muppet even get elected?!"
I'm starting to have a sneaky sinking feeling this was a sacrificial lamb. The powers that be knew the pound was going to collapse, regardless of any economic plan put forward. So the purposefully found the one candidate no one would feel bad pining all the blame on, elected her, the pound collapsed and she took all the blame, and the powers continue to be in power.
Like if there was a 100% guarantee the US was going into a depression, so we elect Ted Cruz, blame him for the depression, impeach him and move on.

Tories like tax cuts and social conservatism.
Truss stood on a platform of both.
The Tory members voted for her.
The markets were unimpressed.

Can the Lettuce now form a new government? With Larry the cat as the chancelor?
