The best and worst place is actually the same. It's Steam. Some people love it. I'm one of them. Others absolutely despise it, and will go into a massive fit of rage when a game requires it. Not entirely sure why it's so polarizing, but that's just kind of the way it works, I guess. Either way...
I kinda' thought I'd have a long list to put into this post, but on reflection, the only demo that's ever made me buy a game has been Audiosurf... which I'm rather glad for, because I have a lot of music to listen to, and it's a good way to keep me engaged in it without flailing around like a...
I'm not even slightly surprised at this little twist. They've been shafting people left, right and center for decades, artists and consumers alike... the artists moreso, really. The average gold-record artist in the US makes roughly $40,000. Not annually, I mean they make that $40K off of the...
Thank you for that magnificent spoiler.
And in any case, I think I'd be just as vengeful as anyone mentioned above (with awesome powers.) I mean really, what other excuses are you going to have to use them in a gratuitous manner that doesn't involve waiting twenty minutes? I'd want to see...
WoW is irrefutably the king of MMOs. With that in mind, that probably explains why I'm such a staunch advocate of regicide.
Personally, I prefer CoV to it, but I'll probably hop aboard APB whenever it launches.
During a semi-friendly insult match between myself and a friend (no, this isn't her real name):
"Looking to sell one Deborah. Great reviews, good mileage, all-leather interior!"
Y'know, they could've just been referencing the actual SkyNet. It's a family of military satellites (and their ground-based control systems,) the first of which were launched in 1969. No plagiarism here... assuming you ignore the context of the game's Skynet.
A vacuum that only works when aimed at a wallet. Y'know. Like all of them.
Or to be less mean, maybe they could make a cheap add-on for the nunchuk to give it the same aiming feature as the remote itself. I'm just thinking of akimbo pistols or something here, but that can't be such a bad thing.
Despite what many people tend to say about it, I find Titan mode from 2142 to be about the only game style that I'm really enthusiastic about. Perhaps Assault Lines from the same game as well, though if the PAC team isn't working together well, it can feel a bit unbalanced. I liked Power...
What are your current system specs? It might be possible to cannibalize some parts if they're half-decent. Frankenputers aren't pretty, but they save money.
Back when I was about six, I made a friend who had an NES. Every day after school, we'd go to his house and try to play Mario for a few hours (emphasis on "try" due to general ineptitude and multiple hardware failures.) I think of that as my turning point from "growing up" to "growing into a gamer."
Best: Taking quick snap-shots at people, killing a few, then dashing off to another vantage point to repeat. I can do this almost indefinitely in the Titans in 2142 maps. I'm also not half-bad at piloting.
Worst: Finding a viable spawn point. I swear, some days it's like...
