You've just woken up naked next to the lead singer of the last band you listened to

Robin Zander, you are older than my father, and also I am not gay, let us never speak of this again.

Nintendo 3DS is game for a barf - The Sun conducts 'scientific study'

Carol's verdict: Children shouldn't play for hours at a time. Oh, okay, because there must be something wrong with the console if a doctor is reccomending kids don't play it constantly. I hate the Britsh press. They can write any old shit they want and people will buy into it.

What game is the most anticipated game of 2011

For me, either Portal 2 or Rayman Origins. Although god knows if the second one will even be out in 2011, there's been literally no news on it since about E3.

What is the best written videogame ever?

For something different to the games being suggested here I'd say the Professor Layton series, but then they always seem more like interactive movies than games, with so much effort in the cutscenes, that I'm not sure if they count. So I'll say Portal. No irritating cutscenes breaking up...

You can bring back one game from any point in the future, what do you choose?

Either Portal 2, Rayman Origins, or Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney.

Xbox 360 Kinect vs. PlayStation Move. Which is the better buy?

At this point I'd say Move. It seems at the moment like they're really trying to gear Kinect towards the Wii's audience, because about 90% (I think? that was a rough guess, from the 19 games they announced the other week) of the games they announced are dance/sport/pet/party games. I don't know...

Parents Television Council Calls Game Industry "Thugs" and "Bullies"

Ha, I'd never even heard of this legal battle before, but it's so ridiculous! What's the point in them going to all this effort and spending all this money when they could just... hmm... be responsible parents and make sure their kids don't buy M rated games?

    GameStop Releases Its Own Game

Why would they cap the donation money? That would be my only incentive for buying a game you could find on any flash games website, so let's face it, I'd be better off just donating the 99c myself.

273: Confessions of a GameStop Employee - Part One

This story just reminded me of the shitty system that the British store Woolworths had (before it tanked, went bankrupt and closed up all it's shops), wherein they WOULD have a load of empty game cases on the shelf, which you would, first time round at least, take up to the desk, only to be...

Capcom Producer Amazed Wright/Layton Crossover Went Ahead

At first I was wary about this, but the more I read, the more I want it right now goddamnit. So long as Chris Miller and Maria Darling are going to be doing Layton and Luke's voices in Europe, I'm happy.

Professor Layton/Phoenix Wright Crossover for Japan Only, Says Capcom

Guys, calm down an read the original blog post. It doesn't say anything about it only being released in Japan, or that the West won't be getting it because of low sales for previous games. That's just scaremongering by the various games websites it's been reported on. All it tells us is that as...

First Finished Kinect Commercials Pops Up on the Internet

It's clear this is being aimed almost fully at the casual market, and that's probably going to be it's downfall. The advert is so similar to the various adverts for the Wii... maybe so much so that a lot of those who don't know much about gamings could mistake it for a Wii advert up until the...

If you could feel pain would you still play?

Probably not. Though I gues it'd be a really effective way of getting you to learn how best to play whilst avoiding getting shot or hurt.

Please Stop Bitching About Motion Controls

I think the problem is that developers get lazy. When motion controls are done right (Resident Evil 4 for example) they're pretty damn awesome. But like others have said, most companies just use them for remote-waggling minigames, and games aimed squarely at kids and grandparents, and therefore...

What happened to games being fun?

I know various people who go online, and when they lose, they start to get incredibly pissed off and start yelling, and of course the other people online with them enjoy this and continue to wind them up... and I have to question why they keep going online at all.
