When I play Risk, I like to start off in Australia or south America, take the continent in the first turn, then fortify the choke-points. That way I get +" units per turn straight away. Then move into Africa and defend it. Gives me a good solid base for world domination. Or do board games not...

Actually, my favourite track for a game has to be Suteki da Ne from FFX. Though I've always enjoyed the music from the Final Fantasy games, this really grabbed my attention when I first started the game, and I find it so mournful and soulful, expressing the emotions in the game really well.
