Favorite song from Fallout 3/New Vegas.

I'm surprised so many people liked "Johnny Guitar," because personally it was my least favorite song in New Vegas, and I always found myself switching off the radio when it came on. Anyways... FO3 had so many great songs that Idt I could choose just one or two to highlight, but in New...

The Little Touches in Assassin's Creed

Oddly enough, when I read the title "The Little Touches..." the first game that jumped to mind was Fallout 3. True, the vast majority of the wasteland is devoid of anything "memorable,", but this actually helps add to the immersion, because what better way to make a player feel like they are...

    Good PS2 Games

I always really liked the Star Wars Battlefront games, so I'd definitely recommend giving those a try if you havn't. I've actually been thinking about going back and revisiting some games I never played for the PS2, so that's pretty convenient of you to make this thread!

Ever Fallen In Love With A Game You Thought You Couldn't Be Arsed With?

I agree. I've been playing it for around 30 hours and I'm still enjoying just going around blowing up freeplay targets. I can't believe some of the poor reviews I've seen for it, since it's probably one of the most entertaining games I've played all year.

Games everybody loves but you can't see why

Dead Rising (the First One). I've tried 3 times so far to get into it, but It just doesn't take. True, I've only made it as far as the first boss (The other photographer, I think...don't really remember) but just something about the game keeps turning me away. Now that the sequel's out I...

    Your Favorite "Underrated" Underrated Game(s)

I'm going to have to say Universe At War: Earth Assault. It's an RTS port back from 2007. I'd never even heard about it until recently, but from what I can tell it really flew under the radar. Too bad, really, since it's got really fun/diverse factions and satisfying gameplay, and the...

    Oops, there goes a tire...

I usually slow down when I see a stop sign, but I'm guilty of "rolling stops" as they're called around here. I must say that I'm a pretty big fan of the "Slow down to piss people off" approach to passive-agressive driving. I usually go about 5 miles over the speed limit, any faster and I...

    The crazys we love.

I'd have to say Tannis from Borderlands. Her Audio Diaries easily made the game for me, and the line "The lady with scars where her face should be..." gets me every time.

Poll: Oh the complexity of choice.

If you havn't played the first Mass Effect yet, I'd definitely recommend picking it up. It's dirt cheap on Amazon, and you can get 50+ hours of play out of it before you get bored. Combat's a little wonky, but After you get a feel for the handling it's not noticeable.

    realism, whats the bloody point

For me it's all about immersion. I like realistic games because they feel, well, more realistic. Aka, the situation is more believable for me, and in the case of role-playing games it's a lot easier to slip into the world, as well as into the character. Fallout 3 is a perfect example of...

What game have you played the most of in 2010

There's no use denying Borderlands. I ran through the single player once on each class (twice on the hunter), logging about a day's worth of playtime on each playthrough, or about 120 hours. No other game this year comes close to taking up as much of my time, but I've been jumping around...

    Best Gaming Controller (ever)

Even more badass. If I had some extra disposable income I might've checked it out, cause I'm sure it was pretty awesome. And I'm not saying anything about laptop gaming. I tried that on my Toshiba Laptop, but I was forced to kick myself in the teeth when I realized the Graphics card is...

Idea for rudest most violent game in history

I feel like the Japanese already made this game...I think it was called "Rapelay" or something like that.

    Best Gaming Controller (ever)

I'm guessing this goes to an equally badass flight sim? lol. Pretty cool, though. My old Joystick feels inadequate by comparison. But yeah, I agree that it would be cool if developers did this more often. Obviously I can understand why they don't, but if they did it could lead to some...

    Strangest looking boss

Strange in concept, yes, but to me it just looked like a Terminator. To be honest It was a bit of a let-down when I actually fought the thing. All that build up, and it just didn't resolve properly for me. I instantly thought of this when I read the topic of this thread. The Rakk Hive...
