I've played this and enjoyed it I suppose, but I'm still going to have to say 'nay' because eventually your motivation to play it will just ween more and more, until you just don't want to play it at all.

Get them both, bro. I prefer Fallout 2 myself, I think it honed the Fallout feeling perfectly IMO although Fallout 1 obviously holds a special place in my heart for nostalgia purposes.

Yes and no, I enjoyed what I played of the first game and it's DLC's but the story/story telling was shit and failed to keep me interested so I never got a chance to finish it. With the engine remaining the same, hopefully they focus on scale and storytelling.

Demon's Souls/Dark Souls Perfect example imo, it fits in with the depressing, hopeless vibe of both games.
