I feel like we get this story almost every week, describing a highly successful game that almost wasn't. It all reminds me of the story of Lil Brudder, the dog that almost didn't make it, but then he did.

The first Dead Rising. Crackdown maybe, although it does kind of suck.

I do like the darker red style, but hair color is ultimately irrelevant. It's just a re-texture.

Have to agree with all the Keith David love here. He is just awesome as the Arbiter and Julius in Saints Row. It's a shame he was put in the backseat in Mass Effect 2, it was cool arguing with him and the councilor guy in the first game.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what the first third person shooter game was? Or at least the genre definer.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. The dialogue was typically pretty awesome, and the story was pretty interesting, but the combat just sucked. The ending(s) also sucked, because of all the combat.

This is a legendary thread title. I also find myself changing colors frequently, usually to something that contrasts with the armor, so it looks prettier. Roman Onyx is real nice.

French Revolution or some Mesoamerican setting. There were hints about it at the end of Assassin's Creed 1, and playing as an Aztec or Incan would be a pretty interesting turn.

I would love to see either a French Revolution setting or a Mesoamerican game. Playing as an Incan or an Aztec would be disproportionately awesome. Plus, there were enough hints at the end of Assassin's Creed 1 to suggest that it isn't completely far-fetched.
