Need help putting a name to this game. Commodore 64, side scroller. You were a guy inside a space station. Each screen had two levels (upper and lower), you could run to either direction freely. The space station had a map you could travel. There were something like six targets you had to locate...
I don't play anything from Activision, EA or Ubisoft so no, I've never felt that way. Maybe try companies that don't try to screw you over every waking moment?
You people don't much play IF, do you? Walking Dead doesn't do anything interactive fiction hasn't done for at least a decade already, except maybe quicktime events. It works very nicely and accomplishes what it sets out to do, but it's by no means revolutionary.

The next game should be pausable realtime. I estimate there is slightly less chance for this than a squadron of flying monkeys delivering the turn-based sequel in stores everywhere.

It probably should be noted that Wargame: European Escalation is the best light strategy game to come out in twelve years or so. Anyone who recalls Red Storm Rising, Red Army or Jane's should take a look.
Picking the boringest game? It is so hard to choose. Kind of going into a hors d'oeuvre tasting competition and choices are shit, shit on a cracker and shit on a toast.
