I've played a number of MMOs, but I've learned to distrust that feeling of being strung along. It's a close cousin to the "ah, just one more turn/puzzle/level/etc" that I get out of games that I like, but it's somehow sinister. You feel the XP curve start to slow down, you start to connect gold...

I kind of wish someone would jump on Paypal before all of this stuff. One would think that'd be much easier, no? A business behaving as a bank that isn't regulated as a bank? Slam-dunk.

Looks like a smart way to pull at least some of the rug out from under third-party groups that sell similar services. And unlike the RMAH, it might just work.

The Sorrow series is great. Playing through both games on my DS and unlocking a ring or some such was quite a trip. Did anyone actually enjoy Harmony of Despair? I certainly did -- all those characters! The reorchestrated music! -- though I never got to play with more than one teammate...
