Help Me Play Skyrim (PC) Right!

Does anyone have a particular ENB/Lighting package that they recommend? I don't quite get how these work...You just pick one of them OR the realistic lighting pack, right?

Help Me Play Skyrim (PC) Right!

Thanks for all the help so far, y'all. I guess one other question I have is...is there any benefit to using Skyrim Nexus and their mod loader rather than Steamworks subscriptions? Also, I'm looking for a way to skip the launcher entirely so that if I'm sitting on the couch I don't have to...

Help Me Play Skyrim (PC) Right!

So, I started Skyrim and played for about 30 hours before even getting to see the first dragon--I guess you'd call me the "explorer" type of player--but then only played for 15 minutes at a time over the next year or so, and maybe logged another 2 hours. Plus I loaded that thing with mods...

    Most infuriating "cutscene incompotence" moment?

I think far more infuriating than this are those times when, in the cutscene, your character does something really, really cool that he or she can't ever do in the game. I always just think "LET ME PLAY THAT PART!" Uncharted is a main offender in this category.

    Most anticipated game 2013

God. A really nice line-up coming this year. GTA V, all the ones PMorgan18 mentioned, SimCity, etc. But given everything folks have been saying about the new demo, I think BioShock Infinite takes the cake. DAMN that mother looks sweet.

Sarevok...Can you beat him without abusing broken agro mechanics?

I'd say it's a little TOO hard. Being unable to beat the boss without exploits is not ideal.

    Best "World" in Gaming

For whatever reason, I loved the world of Xenogears. Maybe it's just because I sunk so much time into the game, but I loved the different factions and their backstory, the role of religion, and their take on futuristic architecture. I guess one major drawback is that the terrain was somewhat...

    Planetside 2, I think I love you.

When I went in, it didn't seem all that coordinated. And I get the appeal, I really do, but after a while I just kept getting killed over and over because the other side had surrounded our base with tanks. I guess it just seemed like a "get killed, respawn, repeat" rat race without much of a...

    Help with Baulder's Gate 2..

I remember taking advantage of a LOT of exploits. I'd definitely say steal everything, though!

Incredibly popular phenomena which you know nothing about?

I didn't ear it until I visited a friend in Seoul and went dancing at an "America"-themed bar. Irony.

The Escapist Presents: Breaking Down Baldur's Gate

Man, what a tough decision. I want to replay these badly, and suspect that the modded version is still better if I don't really plan on playing multiplayer, but the iPad version is so tempting as it's really the only way I'd ever be able to finish. Is BG2EE coming out, guaranteed?

Poll: Baldurs gate: enhanced edition, impressions?

I'm very curious about this. I just re-bought the originals on GOG in the hopes of applying all of the mods and playing through them again. This project was announced a week later. Now I'm unsure of which path to take. The videouploaded today was helpful, but I'm still left with questions...

    Your first ever MMO experience

Mine was reading about Ultima Online in the first issue of PC Gamer I ever bought, December 1997. (Cover story was Duke Nukem Forever, by the way). Though UO definitely seems antiquated now, I still think it had much more depth in some ways than any modern MMOs, and felt way less like a rat...

Bioshock Infinite: The latest victim of the Stupid-American-Box-Art Virus.

I think that the box art thing is totally fine and we shouldn't be up in arms about it. I don't really care what it looks like. That said, Ken Levine's explanation (available in video at the link below)is stupid. If he wants to be "an artist," then mass appeal via box art should be...
