I agree with this post. The PS3 has better single player games but the PSN just doesn't compare to xbox live for functionality. They both have a huge selection of movies and games, but xbox live is easier to use. Before you make a decision, I would check out the exclusive titles each system...

Considering you can buy the base game for $10-15 right now on Amazon, it is definitely worth it. The game is much, much better with a friend, but even playing through by yourself is worth it. There is a decent amount of replayability with using and upgrading different weapons as well.

This. Easily the hardest game I've ever played. I don't even remember making it past the third stage. And once you get to the end of the game, you have to play through it again in order to beat it.
