This was an awesome movie. Though it wasn't near as good as the Dark Knight, it was probably better than or just as good as Batman Begins. Bane was an interesting villian (though his voice is terrible), Batman/Bruce Wayne was again awesome but the person to steal the show for me was Hathaway...
I don't understand all the Hellboy hate in this thread. It's not the best superhero/comic book movie but it's still a great flick.
Avengers still has a while to go before it catches Dark Knight or Iron Man imo.
If you've read the Astonishing X-Men comic series by Whedon you'll know what to expect from him with superheroes. Very fun flick.
Btw, Hellboy is probably my favourite comic/superhero movie.
Saw the Avengers here in Australia last night and boy it delivers at times. While it isn't quite as good as Hellboy, Iron Man or Spiderman 2 it is still great. It's definitely better than the recent superhero movies like Captain America and Green Lantern.
Though it does have some pacing...
