Clear Skies and Dragonrend for dealing with dragons, Aura Whisper and a poisoned arrow in the back for everything else. Clear Skies is important to open about half the dragon fights because they often get hidden by low cloud, making them hard to target.

Sword and board all the way. The fast attacks from the sword allow you to fully take advantage of the time slowdown from the shield's Quick Reflexes perk, making any enemy who power attacks you toast.

I walk round the base looking for mining opportunities. Any cave that's a mine I'll go through. And of course I always pick up any ingredients that come my way as well.

It's hard to see why other games don't go the same route as LOTRO - you get several clothing sets for appearances only that you can freely switch between, and what you're actually using for stats doesn't show up on your avatar unless you actually choose that. City of Heroes did something...
