I don't think there's anything wrong with dropping hints like this, as long as you're okay with your girlfriend dropping the same kind of hints about how you're not as good in bed as you used to be, how your receding hairline isn't too attractive, and so on.

To support this statement, I've seen them linked to positively on The Spearhead. Look it up and you'll understand what I mean.

If I had a girlfriend who was overweight and happy with it, then it's her body. If she wanted to change, I'd help her doing it by giving her the advice and support, and doing it together with her.

Other than that, it's just ridiculous. If this is the average man-child's way of being subtle then I'm feeling pretty up myself right now.

Right! Its totally ok. like me pretending i am a wealthy genius, who works at a spacelab AND is a Professional Racecar driver. Why can't i be my lazy self now?
Well she didn't pretend to have a good body, she just stopped doing so. Your example is actually quite a good one, what if I was working at a spacelab when we met but I quit the job while we're in a relationship because I'd rather be a musician? Is that a legitimate reason for her to leave me? What if I was a racecar driver but I had an accident and I became a paraplegic?
Well it is some kind of
situation.
DO i have the right to leave a girl just because i found out after half a year that she is actually a blonde, a haircolour i cant stand? (that actually happened to me in my current relationship. but i couldnt care less about it. [as long as we dont run out of dye ;)])
You kind of work on a set basis. Altering it could get complicated

I find this article to be more useful tbh.

And as they say "the bigger the cushion the sweeter the pushin'".

some of them made me chuckle
like buy her small clothes and leave old/new pictures around
the best one was give her unsatisfactory portions. i can picture it you with a full plate and her with half an apple for dinner.

Some of these aren't even bad as long as you aren't doing them to manipulate her. Going out on a nice date, going to the beach, getting rid of the fatty foods in the house.... These are all things I like doing anyways. It is the intent behind these activities that makes them cruel.

Personally I only have one rule that is a deal breaker. She cannot weigh more than me.

This thread needs more white knighting.

"Dear god, I am absolutely repulsed by the very idea that people might want their girlfriend not to be fat!"

I think it's actually quite sad. If my girlfriend started getting fat, I would love her all the same. Are some guys really that into their girlfriend's appearance so much that they would do these horrible things?

/rant.

I think that these would work, but really you should just try to get her to work out with you. The tips are extremely Deutsch baggy.

I hated it; it was disgusting; it was repulsive; I'm seething.

If my boyfriend did any of those things to me? I would dump him. That may sound petty, but that list seemed horribly controlling and manipulative to me.
I totally agree. It's not even funny tbh. If it was a list of funny stuff that no one would actually ever do I could laugh, but this is the kind of thing men do to be controlling. I've been in a mentally abusive relationship like this it's not amusing.

Don't get me wrong I can laugh about most stuff other people would find offensive but this is manipulative and awful.
I allways enjoy the comment "men do" as if we were some horde of mindless zombies... I can't deny that some people would do this but just by reading the comments here i can see that they're a minority. Beside women can be mean too it's not something we've got all rights too :p

Anyway this comes from the site who made "top ten: how to become a better man" "top ten: lesbian sex myths" how anyone can consider this a realible site for anything is beyond me

Should read as "10 ways to insult and alienate your partner".

This is pretty juvenile(at best). It's the kind of behaviour that I imagine only exists on bad American sitcoms...it's pretty irresponsible for the article to validate such petty concerns.
