Rape is a despicable, horrible act, one of the worst known to mankind.
Having said that, mouthy pre-teens need to know when to shut the hell up and have some respect for their elders. Hopefully this is a lesson for everyone.
There is no excuse for raping anyone, but especially a child. Period.

I'm sure you can all infer the reasonable things normal people say in situations like this, because I don't want to bother writing it all out. That being said, the adult needs to jump off a bridge and it would be really helpful if people could master the "mute" button.

Of course, now the sick, twisted part of my brain that I want to remove with a soup spoon is now wondering if a Wii 'mote can be used in a (non-rapey) sexual way.

What's with men losing it and assaulting children?
Raping children isn't unique to men.
Actually, it pretty much is. There's something like a 1/1000 ratio in that, so.....

"Wah! people are going to blame gaming!" get some damn perspective! If this monster didn't use a wiimote he would have used something else, this thread wouldn't exist and it would have been EXACTLY as wrong. This is not our fight. This is not A fight.

If you must take action take this action: Find out what prison he's sent to and send a bunch of inmates there a wiimote along with the news article. (actually no, THAT would be worse for gaming)

Still tempting though.

I guess that pushed a quick end to the argument.

:)

A pretty vicious nutter right there. Sounds like a hanging offence. Children can be a damn nuisance, but rape with a wii remote. Jeez.

So he stuck the Wii remote up the kid's ass? I have so many questions about the story..
Me too, like for example if a kid is screaming because a Wii remote is being shoved up his ass how is it the parents asleep in the same house didn't wake up, and if he did it again the next day while the parents should have been awake where were they then? Also what kind of loon brags to the neighbors that his been shoving remotes in a kids butt?

Since that must have been traumatizing as hell for the kid and because the mods are hard-asses I will pretend like I'm mature enough not to find the concept of the scenario to be funny.

As terrifying and sickening as that was, my first thought on the situation was "Oh shit, shitstorm inbound."

ITT: People blaming the child for instigating, people blaming the adult for not being responsible, people saying both were at fault, and finally, people saying either side was awesome for different reasons.
I honestly didn't expect people to blame the kid, though I guess I should have done. Reminders that a tiny fraction of sex crimes are committed by women were inevitable, though.
