Ok guys, don't think I'm a bad person but I laughed when I read this... I hate myself
Yet another moment where this song can make something horrible and vile hilarious.

That's just what this thread needs. Thank you!

Really. What happened is basically this: An unpleasant person did something unpleasant to another unpleasant person. This is of course unfortunate for both parties, but I'm sure there's no need for the rest of us to act drop-dead serious about it.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to read the Kotaku article while listening to Yakety Sax!

Got me thinking: If this was named '12 year old gets Wii Mote shoved up ass ' (in a more professional standard), the reactions would be very different, wouldn't they?

Don't tease people, it's full of lunatics out there. They are wrong and deserve the death row, but in the mean time you'll get killed ahead of them.

What on earth did these kids say to provoke such a reaction? Goes without saying obviously the man had issues, being police officer doesn't make you any more immune to mental health issues, but still obviously the kids must have pressed the right buttons...

Well obviously the offender plays video games., who else could be that mentally broken. I hope that lock the sick fucker up for good, guy's probably gonna get rapped loads more than the kid ever will.

I heard the kid was playing Wii Tennis, If so he got Served!
I guess you could say that the rapist got him self a hole in one, after losing that Wii Golf Tournament.

Meh, There are plenty of worse Wii games out there than that.

Seriously though, I found this hilariously tragic. On the bright side, the kid won't be mouthing off to anybody for a long time.

Wow. It's kind of weird to think that happened 40 minutes away.
I was going to talk about why this is a testament to why I'll never get drunk, because it inhibits your actual thinking ability and whatnot, but it says he attacked the boy again after he was sober. So I guess he wasn't all there to begin with.

I read some of the first page of comments, and was struck by how the word rape is flying around a lot these days, whether it's your facebook page being "hacked" or "haxx0red", or just getting really pwned in a game... or even by the game. Maybe jokingly referring to it is desensitizing ppl to it, making them - when drunk/stupid/sick - see it as a viable option to attack someone... for whatever reason.

For some reason, I sympathize more with the kid's parents than with the kid. I've probably read too many stories of kids playing games they're not old enough to play and badmouthing other players in voice chat. Way disproportionate response, and a sad combination of alcohol, circumstances and lack of self-control/maturity/backbone (and possibly not just the 26yo's). But the parents waking up to hear about it happening under their roof while they were asleep? Ouch.

Lurker's two cents, whatever it's worth in your currency.
