Talitha wandered through Croaker District, taking her time, peering through the occasional window and looking at various stalls. Nothing caught her eye as she slowly made her way towards the sub level of the district. Despite moving at a leisurely pace Talitha was panicking slightly, she couldn't shake the feeling of being watched.

Club Chi wasn't hard to find, Talitha found the place and stood outside for a good ten minutes before plucking up enough courage to push the doors open and enter. When she was in, she ordered herself a drink and sat at a booth facing the door. It was slightly off to the side so Talitha would see anyone entering before they even noticed her. The girl glanced at the clock on the wall above the bar, it read: 09:37.

Damien stalked forward through the slums, now confident no-one was following him. They would have had to have his power, after all. He saw a girl his age, who he remembered seeing at the meeting. She seemed as paranoid as he had been. Damien followed her all the way to Club Chi, not knowing where anything was yet. He noted as she stood outside the Club for a while. He shrugged and went for a look around. He knew he was in the ghettos now, but if they had to run, the team would need escape paths that he didn't.

He made his way back to the Club after assessing at least 3 different routes, and noticed the girl had already gone in. Damien shrugged and entered himself, looking around for her. He noticed her staring right at him and began to walk over. Damien gave a respectful nod to her as he approached. "Mind if I sit down?" He asked her, indicating a chair across from her at the table.

Solomon checked the paper from his pocket again. Yep, this was the place that he had been instructed to go to, no doubt about that. Checking his watch he saw that it was still a minute to six. Solomon chided himself, sure he wasn't late but it didn't set a good impression to be right on time either. Bathin twittered for a moment then scratched one of his wings with his beak. The small dull gray bird was perched on Solomon's left shoulder; something that had taken quite a while to teach him to do; as it jerked it's tiny head about left and right.

"No one followed us looks like." Solomon quietly intoned to the sparrow. He was reassured by the bird's calm energy, if someone had been there they would have had to be very good to get past the alert avian.

Solomon checked himself over quickly; blue jeans, dark green shirt, unadorned brown vest; he could pass as any number of workers or so he hoped. He didn't know exactly what he was supposed to be doing but it probably wouldn't do to stand out much.

Wondering what would be in store, Solomon opened the door and stepped inside.

The sun was burning over Chicago city, finally illuminating the last traces of darkness that the previous night had left, eradicating the shadow and drenching the uncovered surfaces in glorious light. One of these beams of sunshine shone through a crack in Tavien's shelter and pressed against his closed eyes, causing him to return to conciousness and his eyes to flicker open.

'Whats that? An hour of sleep? Damn, that won't have me performing well for my 'audition''

The previous night had been spent trying to evade the agents, police AND army that had been sent after him, moving from shadow to shadow, until he managed to slip out of their net. It was the way it always was, whenever they sent another team after him, he would survive their initial strike and then spend the next twelve hours or more, trying to escape from their OA (operational area), but lately, the cordons and the measure in place to ensure that he stayed in that area had been growing stronger, not to mention the initial strike, they were no longer underestimating him and he doubted he would be lucky for much longer... On his own.

And so he had resolved to join Alpha, for not only would they hopefully provide some kind of protection against his foes, but with them, he might have a chance to do some good and finally help those that had helped him so many times in the past.

Tavien stood up and stretched, putting on his sunglasses and gazing up through the crack in his little hole and admiring the sun, from this day forth, he would make a difference.

Talitha had half finished her drink by the time someone she vaguely recognised walked in. It was a tall guy, maybe the same age as herself, he nodded in her direction and asked if he could take a seat.

---

"Sure thing." Talitha said with a small smile, and he sat. She played with the straw in her glass, watching it intently for a few seconds before looking up at the boy, examining him. The girl noticed a scar on his right hand in the shape of a cross, but it was his eyes that freaked her out. He eminated a feeling of curiosity and suspision, Talitha tried to control it, calm it, so he was more at ease. She hated the feeling of tension in the the air. "I'm Talitha." She said and extended a hand.

It had taken him nearly three hours to reach the meeting place, not simply because he had sheltered quite far away from the location, but also because he wanted to be thorough in his surveillance detection routes, not wanting to bring the might of the Agency down upon Alpha prematurely, for despite the fact that they would definitely eventually learn of the resistance (if it was successful enough), he doubted they would have 'a file open' on the group now and Tavien wanted to keep it that way for as long as possible.

"Morning all" he declared as he reached the bar, walking over to the attractive woman and average man that were already in conversation at the bar, recognising them from yesterday.

Disregard part two of my last post, this is the rectification

Damien shook her hand. "Damien." He responded in kind. He laughed at the tension both of them could feel. "Oh God, barely a day in and already everyone's paranoid of each other!" Still, he was quiet enough so that only Talitha could hear him. Damien then pushed back a chair as he heard another resistance member approach. "Mornin'. Have a seat, why don't you?" Damien seemed at ease, always putting up his front just in case.

Eric waved Solomon in. "Good, good. You're both on time. Thats good, we have quite a lot to do today, so come along. I'll explain on the way." Eric smiled and spun on his heel, hurrying towards the rear of the building. "Come on then," he said, "We must be going."

Ava and Solomon followed suite and both jumped a bit as a figure melded out of the shadows to fall in line behind them. "Thats Yuma, you'll both be with him for the rest of this little party." Yuma nodded as a thick accent broke his lips, "You'll be helping the security detail for this trip. Solomon you'll be scouting the area we're going to and supervising from a distance. Ava, you'll be by Eric's side with me. We'll be handling point security."

"Thats right," Eric added, "Just because you are the only two assigned to this duty that you're any less important the the others. We'll be meeting with a member of Miami's resistance. He's here to offer us aid and vice-versa. As you could probably tell, two high ranking members of multiple resistance factions make us a relatively high profile target."

The group burst through the back door, still moving quickly towards a small group of vehicles. "Yuma," Eric said quickly, "Was there anyone in the building?"

"Not anymore," Yuma said coldly, "There was a sleeping bum, however he had a badge. He no longer breathes."

Eric sighed, "Alright then." The door on one of the floating vehicles slid open, revealing a posh interior. "Come, come." He motioned to Ava and Solomon as they both looked slightly confused. They both climbed in as a nervous Yuma followed.

The door closed and the brigade flew off faster than any car ever could. "Right," Eric said, "Yuma? Would you lay out the ground work for our plan?"

Yuma nodded and handed the other two hand guns. "Unless you have any other specific preferences, these should suffice. However we have other equipment should you need something else." Yuma waited until the pair had taken their weapons. Nodding, he continued. "We will arrive approximately an hour before the meeting is to take place. You two will be scouting ahead along with a few other members of our security detail. Once we determine the area safe, Eric can go ahead with his meeting."

"Please do your job well," Eric said, "The end of me would be a devastating blow to Alpha, as I have not yet had time to build the organization up to stand on its own. The other groups may fail but theres is only the crippling of the city, not the crippling of our own organization. I cannot stress how important your job is."

The car slowed and landed in an alley way near a clearing surrounded by tall buildings. Yuma spoke up, "We will each be positioned in the buildings around this area. We have our own team of snipers within the area keeping an eye on the area, Ava and I will accompany Eric when the time comes, and Solomon you will be hidden with the park. You're ability was stated as animal sympathy. Hopefully you can use that to your advantage."

The door to the car slid back open and Yuma stepped out, "Lets get started." He said as one of the other vehicles in the caravan let loose its load of security forces. "We've got work to do."

Eric smiled and waved to Ava and Solomon as they stepped out. "Good luck."

Solomon was confused as he was quickly shooed out of the building and into a vehicle. The person pointed out as Yuma also surprised him. The man wasn't really big, but he carried himself like someone much larger; a predator as well. Solomon puffed out his chest just a touch trying to match the energy given off by this person, a hopeless cause.

However, this didn't keep him from paying attention to what was being said. He suddenly felt very childish for his previous resentment of this assignment. He would be responsible for the protection of Eric himself, an almost legendary figure in Solomon's view, no other job could be more important; without Eric there was no way Solomon would ever get a chance to strike back.

Solomon paused for a moment though as the gun was offered to him. He stared at the weapon with a stupid look on his face. He should have probably seen this coming but it still took him by surprise, he had never used any kind of gun before. Solomon took the weapon in both hands with the caution of someone who had no idea what they were doing with a deadly tool. He turned it over two or three times looking it over trying to mask his inexperience. Well, it looked like it had a trigger and barrel in pretty clear locations, and that bit was probably the safety switch that looked engaged. How hard could it be? Solomon had no place for the weapon so he slipped it into his belt and went back to listening.

"Err, yes." Solomon responded to the inquiry of his abilities. Of course it wasn't that simple but he didn't exactly have the time for a full lecture on the intricacies of nonverbal communication. "Umm, so what's this park like?" Solomon asked, this was a place that he had never been in before.

Talitha smiled at Damien's comment, "It's a shame, but no one can be too careful." She began playing with her straw again as someone new joined them. "Good morning." She greeted him politely. Talitha glanced at the clock again, it was getting close to 10:00, more people should arrive soon. She smiled to herself, This is really happening, she thought, we're actually going to change this god forsaken place.

Alexis pushes the bar door open, shortly after it had shut behind the previous man, one of them from the meeting.

A small smile plays across her lips as she saunters across to the rest of the group that had gathered. "Good day," she states faking interest in the others. As long as I can do what I want, I don't care, she thinks to herself looking through the group.

"Anyone else here, thats doing the food job?" asked Tavien as he took a seat next to the attractive woman at the bar, but sitting so that he had both an eye on his 'drinking partners' and the door, lest he get another surprise like yesterday, he wasn't going to forget that one soon, especially since he was still covered in bruises from that fall.

He also hadn't managed to completely rid himself of the stink either...

Yuma responded to Solomons question, "The buildings that surround this park keep it dark from 2p.m. to 10a.m. The meeting is at 8 so we have an hour and a half to get things ready. However," Yuma now addressed Eric, "Sir, I would like you to be out of here by 9:30 if thats perfectly alright." Eric nodded and Yuma continued. "The dark makes it harder for any potential threat to easily target us."

Yuma turned and walked off towards a building with 3 other men. "You have your orders you two, get a move on."

Ava took the gun, checked the safety and put it in the waist of her pants, then covered it with her t shirt. Over the years, her older brothers had taught her how to use most forms of weapon, although she had never used one to hurt someone before. Hopefully she wouldn't have to do anything with it today...

She got out of the car and followed Yuma's instructions. Working in pairs, the team checked the area for any people, along with any form of bug and surveillance device. Her partner found several cameras, tiny or insignificant things that Ava hadn't thought to check. A few gunshots rang out, signalling that people had been found, but were no longer a problem.

After an hour, everyone had returned, and the area was confirmed to be clear. Yuma sent various people in different directions to watch the area, and when everyone gave the signal that they were ready, he walked back to the car. Unsure what else to do, Ava followed. As they got there, Yuma said, "Eric, it's time."

I had to wait till Dan posted to post mine, hence I was like a minute after. He had checked what I'd written and just answered a question first.

The new man slid into the seat next to Talitha and asked if anyone was doing the same job as him. The girl shook her head, concentrating on the straw she was twirling between her finger, trying to ignore the pain forming in her head, she knew the cause was trying to control the level of tension.

Talitha looked at the door as a woman she recognised walked in, a slight saunter in the way she walked over to the booth in which they were sat. "Hi," Talitha greeted her, once again looking at the clock. She was getting impatient.

Damien raised an eyebrow at Talitha as he saw a vein pulse near her temple. He knew that she must be using her power, since otherwise she was exerting herself twirling a straw. Damien nudged her with his foot under the table. When she looked his way he gave her a pointed look that said he knew what she was doing. He also hoped she understood to stop so she wasn't exhausted before the mission even began. Damien then answered Tavien.

"Naw, sorry mate, I'm on scandals." Damien chuckled as a new woman appeared. "Mornin', miss. Might we know your name?" He asked the new woman who appeared.

"I see, that makes you either Carter, Damien or Raymond, am I right?" said Tavien, reciting the names he had memorised from the briefing. To others, it might have been a stretch to remember ones own name and assignment, but to Tavien, remembering was second nature, his training with the Agency had made taking in and memorising minute details in the blink of an eye.

Ironically, it was one of the reasons he had managed to elude them for all these years.

"Who might you be?" Tavien asked, as he recognised the other woman from yesterdays meeting approaching them.

She got the point, understood what Tavien meant with that single look. Reluctantly, Talitha relinquished control and immediately felt the mix of emotions from everyone in the room assault her senses before she pushed it to the back of her mind. Ignorance is easier than control. She thought. Always easier. Never better

Hey everyone, before we can get you all started on your jobs I need everyone else to post that they've arrived at the club. So if your getting itchy then feel free to message them and let them know that they have an obligation to post right now. I thought I'd say this to let you all know I haven't abandoned it. Hopefully, and maybe with enough nagging, we can get going again ^^

"My name is Alexis," Alexis states plainly before looking around.

"Is this all that had the courage to appear for this mission?" she asks, seeing no face she recognises in the club.

Or have the became traitors to their own cause? she wonders, slightly bemused by the thought of spies so early in their life in Alpha.
