"How about we beat a few 'special' members of our society, make sure it's recorded, and make sure the video is 'leaked' to the press." Raymond suggested, knowing that the evidence would never get to anyone if they just left it at the police station. I wish I didn't know so many of these terms. I guess thirteen years of brainwashing does that to you.

Damien shrugged. "Remember, we're on scandals. Alpha is still too small for the weight of the government to bear down on us at the moment. You and I are in charge of causing scandals among the upper class. I don't think we have enough power to do your suggestion...yet. Let's stay in the shadows and work our way up, shall we?"

"Fine, fine. I don't think I could bring myself to beat a mentally challenged kid anyway." Raymond said. "So, what do you have planned? If we plant evidence, there's no way it's getting to the news. If we could forge evidence that said the chief did something and sent it in, then we could get something done, but that's just a chance." He trailed off, mumbling ways to get the deed done.

Ava watched out the window as they drove off. Yuma kept changing direction, obviously trying to throw off anyone following. After a while, he continued on one road, satisfied that no one knew where they were and planning where they could go to that would be safe. By this point, Ava was completely lost, which of course was the point. Nevertheless, she was more than a little uneasy.

After a brief period of daydreaming, Ava noticed the buildings around her again. Unfortunately, these did look familiar. Too familiar. Feeling nervous, she asked, "Where are we going Yuma?"

He glared at her. "Currently, we cannot trust any of you, especially the new people of the group. I am not going to tell where we are going, because you do not need to know. When we get there, you will find out what you need to know."

Ava turned away and sighed. Continuing to push the point now would be suspicious, but she was scared. And given her past and her current situation, she had every right to be.

Her worst fears were proved to be true as they pulled up a long driveway. The car stopped at a small building just before the main house. Yuma ordered everyone except Eric to get out the car and go inside the chapel.

Everyone got out the car and went straight into the building, leaving everything in the car. Ava, on the other hand, stayed in her seat, not even removing her seatbelt. Yuma repeated his instruction, his hand on his gun. A tear rolled down her cheek as Ava shook her head.

"Ava... have you betrayed me?" Eric asked softly.

She shook her head quickly, squealing "No!" After a couple of deep breaths, she explained. "My name is not Ava Stratus... it's Lady Ceri de Beaumont. This is the house where I grew up, and the Lord of the manor is my father. If I step outside and I'm recognised, I'll be shot for treason."

Solomon mostly kept his head down as the car had been driven about. Unlike Ava he was easily able to track the vehicles movements. After all, clean turns? At set intersections? With landmarks all around? How easy could they make it to remember a path? Solomon had no idea where they were going on the other hand but retracing the rout would be child's play.

When he heard Yuma's response about a lack of trust he didn't have a hard time believing it. After all, they were completely new in an organization that survived on secrecy. Solomon felt the best way to earn trust at the moment was to not ask questions and follow orders so that's what he would do. Solomon had passed beyond the cloud of depression that had covered him previously and would wait for any opportunity to prove himself useful; and this time he wouldn't fail.

When the car came to a stop Solomon obeyed the order to exit the car but stopped and turned back when Ava didn't. He stood by silently watching as Ava reveled the truth about her father. Solomon felt himself tense up a bit as he looked to Eric about what to do next as he could hear the appropriate dramatic triple cord flow through his mind.

"That is... a suitable answer. I suppose. Though it does not rule out the possibility of betrayal, it would significantly limits the number of possibilities. You will stay within Alpha custody for the next month. We will deal with the contingency of a betrayal, from both of you." Eric glanced at Solomon. "Although I'm fairly sure neither of you are a traitor due to the fact that my skull is still intact..." A voice interrupted Eric's vocal thought process.

"I say we kill them and be done with it." Yuma said coldly, beginning to slide a weapon out of his holster. "They can't be trusted."

Eric turned a fiery eye on the Japanese man. "And neither," Eric said slowly, "can you." Eric reached out and shoved Yuma's weapon back into place and raised his voice. "Everyone in this entire, goddamn operation could be a traitor! Hell, for all I know right now YOU'RE the one who sold me out! For all we know Roberto lies dead in the streets and this whole operation could go down the tubes!" Eric stepped away and took a deep breath before continuing calmly, "Now, we're going to lie low, and wait for this to blow over. We are not moving for 24 hours. No contact, no signals. Yuma get the rations from the car."

Yuma did as Eric said and the group set about the empty area, looking for a suitable place to lie low. "Nobody leaves my sight." Eric said solemnly, poking around building and warehouses to find an abandoned building.

Gruff took a deep puff on his cigarette and blew it away from Tali. "Sorry miss, most of the boys in the shop like to smoke. I'm not used to people being turned off by it." After another puff he turned to his leader. "Its your parade boss, I'll go along with whatever you want. However, I feel as though you should consider the scale of our job. This isn't one crate or two, its a truck full of crates. Its also imperative we all get out alive or not at all. We become a contingency if we get left behind. If you think your plan is best then lets follow through by all means. I'm just an aide in this after all."

Gruff felt like he was rambling again and thinking aloud too much. However, he didn't seem to care, it'd been going on for years and it was better to get thoughts out in the open than harbor spite for things going wrong.

Talitha gave Gruff a small smile of thanks when he blew the smoke away from her. "I don't mind all that much," She explained, "It's just the smell of the smoke gets to me."

She then turned to Joshua and asked if she could have a look at the map, he handed it over and Talitha quickly scanned over it, noting a mark that could only be their target. The map was a satellite image and the marked building appeared to be a warehouse.

Brilliant, it shouldn't be too hard to load stuff into a truck, surely there will be forklifts to make moving them easier, all we need is a truck.

"It's not much of a plan, but what we need is in a warehouse, if it's a truck load of stuff we're taking, we're going to need a truck." Talitha looked at Gruff, "I don't know if you guys at Alpha have any such vehicles at your disposal, but if you did, it'd be much easier than having to steal one of those as well."

She looked back down at the map, trying to put something together.

"So if Josh takes care of security outside, we take the truck around to the loading bay, take out whoever might be hiding inside, load the stuff onto the truck, pick Josh up, then split."

Damien grinned. "If you can get me into a television broadcast set, I can do miracles with bad publicity." "All it would take is a fake interview with the chief of police. Raymond comes in as a cameraman, while I sneak through the wall and plant the serrated knife that will have killed...3 or so officers in his cabinet. I push the cabinet open and disappear as the knife 'accidentally' drops out onto the floor on live T.V., with no delays. This should be good. I might even make it seem as if the chief was part of Alpha, making people wonder how far the weed's roots have taken hold in their precious society" He thought. Damien relayed the plan to Raymond as they stepped onto the elevator and made their way onto the streets.

"Sounds good enough. I'm not a great hacker, though, and my whole 'somewhat invisible' things might make it hard to do an interview. Maybe we can get that third person who is supposed to be with us to do the hacking, while you are camera man and I plant the knife." Raymond suggested, making sure that no one was listening in. Good, good. I fall goes right, then we might end up doing this.

Ava followed Eric, helping to check the buildings. She regularly looked back to the car though, to check the trunk Roberto had given them. She couldn't move it until they knew where they would settle, but she felt uneasy leaving it unattended. They could be in a lot of trouble if the wrong people stumbled upon it.

After an hour, they still hadn't found a building that Eric was happy with. They had checked all the nearby buildings, but most were either still in use or had fallen into disrepair, and wouldn't be safe enough. Some of the others were looking tired and stressed out, and most of them were hungry. They needed to find somewhere soon before they were seen.

Ava stopped, and slowly turned southwards. Of course, why hadn't she thought of this before? And instantly, she ran. Somewhere behind, Eric told Yuma to stay with the car and was following her, probably with a few others. Ava barely noticed though as she ran through the trees to the old shack.

She stopped at the edge of the clearing whilst everyone caught up. In the middle stood a small house, only one storey but long and narrow. The woods had protected it from most of the elements, and unless you came here on purpose you'd barely know the place existed. They went inside, and found some old furniture and a single working tap.

"So Eric," Ava asked nervously, "what do you think?"

Just posted again to see if we can bring this back. Although if other people aren't willing to post then I'm giving up.
