It's amazing what passes for journalism these days... Nice post and a good read, thank you!

27 vs 3.4 million thousand hundred hundred women.
If you think about it that was I find it a little more reassuring.
And yet look at how much these opinions thrive here in the US. How broadly accepted they are in the media and society. These are hardly anything new.[/quote]

That's because the 27 are leading the 3.4 million. The basic support groups for men and women are crumbling at a rapid rate. What used to be the mother/daughter, father/son, men in the pub is now replaced by Oprah, Dr. Phil and articles such as these.

A lot of women (and men) believe these articles because... they believe in them. Most men/women/small furry creatures are not evil, malicious, controlling, bullying scumbags; they're just people.

People who get upset, lonely, pissed off and horny just like the rest of you. Sometimes all at once.

Now, if we can actually talk to EACH OTHER about it, perhaps we can stuff these articles back up the asses of those antisocial hacks that wrote them. Agreed?

I hate them too. Weddings are okay. But I'm mostly in them for the cake.
Mmmmm...festival cake. Especially if it's the first slice.

This is true. But most women are pretty good about it. If we're feeling fat, expect to notice a behaviour change, but we'll try not to take it out on you.

The rest of those things are fairly bullshit, or I can't be bothered explaining them.

- Rade.
Oh, I'd say that's bullshit too.
Sadly, it's accurate bullshit.
But it all comes back to the issue of "gender"; which has nothing to do with the sex, but the social perception of what that sex should be thinking of.

While reading this I somehow think this dude recently got divorsed, broken up with whatever, it also took me a bit to realise he was a HE,at first I thought it was a girl disproving what another idiot girl said.

The problem with people isn't pretending to be complicated the problem is, a lot of times, over simplifying. I have seen many a person over simplify how people act, how people think that is pretty simple, but sometimes thought and action aren't connected with some people and these people are called impulsive. Also some people think they're realy complicated and that makes things pretty complicated.

Well in any case while I disagree with some points everything he said is pretty spot on... and don't hold me to anything I said above, I find it hard to make coherent thoughts, what with it being late.

Ask some girls how their period makes them feel at times. We swapped it for groin over-sensitivity.

This post probably made my night..I seriously read it twice I laughed so hard. That was a great read, worth every minute. I at first thought about copying it and sending it in an e-mail to pretty much every woman I know..but I thought against it.

I also read MSN and Yahoo articles for a laugh now and again. Especially when I see ones like this which I know from the get-go are going to be absolute bull-shit.

For example a "12 Romantic things to do for your guy" article. I found one particularly rage-inducing but also, very hilarious. "Give him a night out with the boys" GIVE?!?! The way I see it, if you're with a girl who is so controlling that you going out with your friends is something she has to allow...Run...Anyways, back on topic. Great post, excellent job.

That's right fellas! A stupid fluff article on MSN is exemplary of what women think! Why wouldn't it be?! It says that's what we're thinking, so it must be right!

I look forward to your next post wherein you complain that the list of Top 10 Celebrity Outfits isn't objectively accurate and the Cute Animals Countdown is clearly biased in favor of puppies.

I've seen a few of these bullshit lists around the Internet and exactly the same amount of humorous rebuttals. I always enjoy them even though they are not always without their faults but this one was rather good so bravo and thanks for the read.

Even though a variety of these lists do turn up I like to think that people don't take them seriously enough to influence their actions and that there are plenty of people who don't act like the article will have us believe. Maybe I'm just overly optimistic because I've never really met someone like that?

EDIT: I think that whoever supplied the first piece of advice wasn't being serious.

Man after my own heart, aside from the obvious flamebait.

Hell, I might just say that to raise a laugh, I suppose, so what the hell.
