I was a lurker for quite some time, when Yahtzee's youtube videos eventually led me here. This is the first site I have joined and participated in, and I won't speak ill of the other sites that drove me away from joining them.
I like being here because it's relatively small and tight-knit. Each thread can expect the usual ensemble of lovely folks who either wish to generate some lols or have some really insightful commentary on the topic. For me, it's the difference between going to a lodge as compared to a bar, where at the bar it's a smorgasbord of people that can change day-to day and you can't anticipate what you're walking into.
I'll take the OT as a challenge and try to generate some insightful topics. All that said, I'm glad to have "met" many of you, and even the worst of times it's still an escapism of its own. Cheers and take care you wacky geeks : )

400 posts, eh? I... almost remember when I had that amount. That was about, what, a year ago? Back when nobody would recognize me from thread to thread. 
You're pretty much right, Rainbow Manatee. These forums love going through endless cycles of discussions and arguments that never seem to change anybody's minds and yet continue on regardless. It's a bit amusing, to be honest. I love reading through some of the more flame-y threads on a slow or boring day, they can get very entertaining.

400. Woah that's a long time ago (for me). I still had Squall as my avatar, Daystar hadn't even joined, Loading Ready Run wasn't part of the site, Furburt and Demented Teddy were probably the biggest celebrities, maybe MaxtheReaper.
And of course, joining a forum group has suddenly boosted my post count way way up. I'll be there with Fappy and Daystar and Hazy and the rest of the big boys soon enough.
