I'm curious.... I though Frank Miller committed career suicide after some of the silliness of All-Star "I'm the Goddamn" Batman. It could be interesting, to see Miller do a comic sequel to 300 - showing the Greeks driving the Persians from Greece and whatnot - so I'll withhold judgment for now. But I've grown somewhat cynical of Miller, given that in later years he's forgotten about some of his other works (i.e. 300) and only seems to know how to write one real story - gritty film noir.

You doubt me? Watch "The Spirit" and tell me otherwise. Try it, I dare you all. ;P

Snyder said that there's still a lot of history to draw inspiration from. Although King Leonidas (portrayed in 300 by Gerard Butler) perished with his soldiers at the battle of Thermopylae in the first film, the director didn't rule out the possibility that Butler will return in some form for the sequel.
....How? He died...

He could play a different character. Because Gerald Butler the actor didn't die, King Leonidis the character did.

Thankfully Zak is going to wait until Frank Millar finishes the sequel before he'll start work. So considering how long that will take I think we can expect any sequel to take place about a decade from now.

How can there be a sequel? Didn't they all die?

More on topic, I don't think I'll be seeing the sequel half naked men fighting ultra-violent battles does not appeal to me.

What are they going to call it? 301? 300 2?

I can't think of a title for the movie that wouldn't sound stupid.
I cant think of a continuing story line that doesn't sound stupid i mean 299 of them died, if it's tru this can only end badly.

UltraLametastic. the director/writer must be flaming batshit wonky. this is the worse idea, ever. like if they had made a sequel to the Neverending story.

how do you make a sequel if they are all dead, or did zeus have a child that would one day grow up to be the greatest spartan ever and then embark on a quest against the gods after they tricked him into killing his family. hmmm this sounds oddly familiar......just from what?

300 was adequate. The battle in which the Greeks drive out the Persians could easily be an entertaining movie so we will just have to see.
