That made me cry.

I don't normally fall for internet feel good stories, but that hit me hard.

Charity coming from 4chan? This is literally a Christmas miracle... or a Kwanza miracle or Hanukkah miracle. I was going to say that this would be the thing that convinces me that God is real and deserve's to be worshiped, but I'm not sure which god is responsible and deserves worship, therefore I am back at the start. Dammit.

This is basically the only time I've seen 4chan do anything like this. 'tis a christmas miracle!
What about when they showed up at that old dude's birthday party? I tittered in my brain at the idea of the planners no-doubt having to run off and get more food and favors at the last minute because the internet decided to show up.

It was a nice story to read. No, not all of us on 4chan are jerks. I've actually met a lot of really cool people through that site.

The only real "bad" place on 4chan is /b/. Every other board is tame by comparison. Although, I must admit, if you have a computer question, your best bet is to ask /b/ and not /g/.

This is not the first time a thing like that has happened, but after all the propaganda that's being spread about 4chan (/b/ especially) the surprised reactions of you guys are to be expected.

About time that they gave some conceiveable form of reparations for all the mean things they've done. Not that they've made anyone kill themselves recently.

Its a Christmas miracle!

Well done Anon, you have bought a tear to my eye with this and William's 90's birthday.

As tradition states during goodwill at Christmas time,
GOD BLESS US EVERYONE!

They are the judges, the final boss of the internet. They punish those who deserve it ... and reward those who deserve it also. The decision over who is worthy of punishment or reward is one that they make themselves, to their own twisted moral code. Nevertheless, some recognisable seed of morality is detectable at the heart of it.

Furries? They see as dangerous perverts, though this is more of a joking love-hate thing; so the hammer is swung.
Old soldiers? They like. They are awesome. They gave them up as potential sacrifices for others. Love is spread.
Scientology (note: not necessarily Scientologists, who are mainly regarded as victims)? Thieves, murderers, false prophets, con artists, liars. Hammer.
Poor people? Particularly internets poor people? They are their brothers and sisters. Starving. It's christmas. It's only right to help.

So on and so forth, through Gaia and Habbo (thieves - and just plain annoyances) through neo-nazi and horrendously fundamentalist christian organisations, and even the victims of murderers.
It gets a bit fuzzy when you come to the subject of child porn and stalking teenage would-be self portrait artists, and just hacking things for the lulz. But the members of anonymous are many and legion, of different moralities, ages and levels of maturity. They do not necessarily act as one, and indeed on these subjects there's much division and argument.
