Okay.

All of those songs are in my top 10 songs ever, except for "Her Ghost In the Fog". My top five songs, which I'm not going to bother posting videos of, are:

"So, In This Hour..." by The Rocket Summer
"Spotlight (Oh, Nostalgia)" by Patrick Stump
"The Path" by HIM
"My Dream Is But A Drop of Fuel For A Nightmare" by Sonata Arctica
"Love, Love, Love" By James Blunt.

My list is going to change tomorrow, and again, the day after. And again. But what the hell, I'll share anyway!

Kiss - Detroit Rock City (But everyone loves that song)
Pink Floyd - Keep Talking
Electric Light Orchestra - Last Train to London
Led Zeppelin - you know witch one.
Queen - The Miracle

Honourable mentions to Supertramp's school (Or anything by Supertramp, really), Sultans of Swing by the Dire Straights and anything Iron Maiden.

Nice thread, by the way. Lots of good music.

I have a hard time picking what my top 5 artists/albums would be so I pretty much picked a random 5 of the artists I consider my 'favourite'

Honourable Mentions:

And in all honesty, favorite Riot song is a tie between Warrior, Babylon, Storming the Gates of Hell, Outlaw, The Bretheren of the Longhouse and Magic Maker. I just love Warrior a liiiiiiiiiiiiiitle bit more. Must be the riff.

Right, Top 5. I'ma go for stuff that's somewhat stood the test of time, rather than my newer infatuations.

<spoiler=1. Terrible Love (Alternate Version) - The National><youtube=330UqSBEXaU>
I absolutely love this song. Can't help but sing along to the chorus, and it makes a great song to walk to. The production quality in the Alternate Version is much nicer than the original, in my opinion.

<spoiler=2. Death - White Lies><youtube=LTh9IuSTOY0>
Much more uptempo than the name suggests, and I just freakin' love this band. Great singer, great sound and a great live act.

<spoiler=3. Always Like This - Bombay Bicycle Club><youtube=-QKj62RKBrM>
Didn't expect to like this band at all from hearing some of their other stuff, but I can't get enough of this song. Not too proud to admit I was wrong about them.

<spoiler=4. Float On - Modest Mouse><youtube=CTAud5O7Qqk>
Simple excellence.

<spoiler=5. Let You Go - Chase & Status feat. Mali><youtube=wpFfM_dili4>
Now, I might've been inclined to recommend Pendulum's Tempest here, but the OP had the impeccable taste to recommend it already.
Instead, I'll give a shout out to Let You Go, which is fast becoming a firm favourite of mine. I think it's a fantastic track, and the video's pretty interesting to watch as well.

I'll try to not include the bands that I'm just really enjoying right now, and go for the ones that have been a mainstay in my library for years.
[HEADING=2]Number Five[/HEADING]
[HEADING=3]Between the Buried and Me[/HEADING]
Chaotic Progressive Metal
Just to clarify, Viridian and White Walls are two separate tracks that complement each other.
[HEADING=2]Number Four[/HEADING]
[HEADING=3]Keith Kenniff - Also known as Goldmund and Helios[/HEADING]
Ambient/Experimental Instrumental
[HEADING=2]Number Three[/HEADING]
[HEADING=3]Fair To Midland[/HEADING]
Progressive Rock/Alternative Metal
[HEADING=2]Number Two[/HEADING]
[HEADING=3]Underoath[/HEADING]
Post-Hardcore/Melodic Metalcore
[HEADING=2]Number One[/HEADING]
[HEADING=3]Blink-182[/HEADING]
Pop-Punk/Alternative Rock
Sounds good enough to me.
