There are many games that have the Game of the Year label attached to them. But do they deserve it?
It may be beyond a shadow of a doubt that Skyrim is going to be a helluva lot better than Oblivion, but personally I'm hoping that Saints Row 3 will earn the title GOTY, for it's blatant disregard of realism, mature and intelligent rationalization, and underwear.
Skyrim will be neat. It will look pretty. It will feel enjoyable. But every time I see the DUAL TRIGGER ACTION of spell casting, all I can think is ''Pew pew pew!'', and be reminded of the first time we were allowed to dual-wield Plasma Rifles in Halo 2.
