Thief 2 . . . when you get really into the atmosphere and game, and you're taking your time trying to ghost a map, it's easy for one mission to turn into a 2+ hr event. You quickly lose track of time and can pull off countless hours without noticing.
Oh my how I can recall myself doing that, though I really suck at ghosting. Haha. But ya. Thief 2 have kept me playing for really long hours. SOme FM's are just so HUGE!

I have spent many ours on other games as well however, sometimes when you just have nothing to do. I remeber one time when I played Morrowind from 10AM to 7PM. No life for the win!
It's a shame TDS wasn't on par with TMA's level design . . . although, some FMs made up for that. Sadly, I never got around to completing the two I was working on for TDS . . .

I'm hoping Eidos Montreal really deliver with T4 . . . I'd love to get back to my taffing ways :p

The two games I can remember fondly of having moments like this were my first playthrough of ME2 and also it has happened more than once when I played WoW.

I once played Guildwars for 13 hours from 9 AM to 10 PM.

It's not really a gaming all nighter but there were three of us at a friend's house at 4 PM and we watched 28 days later, Saw 1 and 2 then played a few hours of splitscreen multiplayer on cod 5 before watching season 1 of Shameless. The others fell asleep while I was on facebook at like 6 in the morning which was a disappointment. I didn't sleep until I got home and had lunch and then fired up my computer for some Black and White 2. I played for about half an hour before suddenly falling alseep and waking up at 6 PM.

Good times.

A week of my holidays last year was dedicated to waking up at one pm, playing Dragon Age until dinner at 6pm, then continuing playing till 5am, then driving to MacDonalds to buy bacon and egg mcmuffins before passing out on my bed till 1pm. It was glorious, playing the Fade level at 4am in the morning slightly sleep deprived was so trippy.

I've wasted SO much time playing Minecraft lately.
It feels kinda bad, having spend all that time on a game, but on the other hand, I'm having fun, so whatever.
I think I'm falling in love with that game. No amount of words can describe how I feel about my glass, underwater dome and mountain top castle.

When I was playing through Metal Gear Solid 2 for the first time, I stayed up until 3 in the morning playing because I just simply couldn't stop. I seriously beat about half the game in one night because I just had to see what would happen next. And it was worth it.

Civilization V. Just One More Turn...

'nough said.
Same here: I got it for Christmas, installed it on my computer, it didn't work, installed it (over at least three-four hours, if not more) on my brother's laptop, and to justify how long that process took, I stayed up until at least 3 AM playing it.

It wasn't an all nighter, but I almost did with Fallout New Vegas a few nights ago. It wasn't like it was intentional, either. At midnight I saw the clock and said "Ooh, I should probably go to bed." I went to bed at three. Yeah...

I think I once played 6 hours of Fallout 3 without ever realizing it until I sat up at hour 6.
