One of these billions of articles on game violence surmised my opinion:

Games can and do increase Aggression. Aggression however only turns into Violent Action if the person acts on the impulse. Thankfully the overwhelming majority of us do not act in impulse.
And here I was beginning to feel that I was alone with this viewpoint. Kudos.

It's not that Americans are stupid, I'm pretty sure if this was run in other countries you'd see similar results. PEOPLE are stupid, and everyone has an opinion to voice whether or not they're educated on it.

That school shooting people seem to have no trouble glossing over the kid and his mother were apparently pretty crazy, she thought 2012 was real and all that good stuff.

But hey, rock and roll were at fault, violent movies were at fault, now it's games, whatever guess we'll just have to wait till holograms are around for them to get the blame next.

Bullshit survey.

It's been said before, but America is so goddamn diverse that 50% of people would have a hard time agreeing on even the lightest controversies.

Most parents I know are reasonably aware that video games don't cause their kids to become school shooters. The ones that do are usually bible-thumping hardcore right-wing people, and I don't really take their opinions seriously.

And I'm pretty sure that more than 11% of American households have a violent video game in them.

Also, if even 1% of every kid who has played COD commited a school shooting or random act of violence, schools would be a much emptier place.

Alternate title for this thread: 11 percent of US parents have some basic level of intelligence.

Alternate alternate title: The majority of people decide it is easier to fear what they do not understand rather than think about it.

Alternate, alternate alternate: Dumb people surveyed, the hilarious results.

Fourth alt title: Knee-jerk reactionary idiots feebly attempt to blame unrelated tragedy on easy scapegoat.

Alt titles are fun, but this is just getting sad. Video games need an NRA type association to defend it from libel.
