I DO NOT have a black and white view of the world. Im the grayest person there is. It's just people tend to underestimate the stupidity of other people.
Just because ZP is an entertainer doesn't mean he doesnt have an important point. Besides, he was reviewing Hawx, which was produced by Tom Clancy. Someone who has actually war and political expeirience.
Your right in that you cannot control what A PERSON thinks. But you can control the group mentality. A person is smart, people are dumb. and its true. We live in a world where majority rules. There has probably never been a place where every body agreed on everything, even a little, but its not like WWII happened because hitler had a minority. And people don't die for money for themselves on purpose....i hope, but you know.... People do die for other people, pieces of dirt, idealogy, and yes money(not intentionally of course). If someone threatened to kill the one you love, etc.....Its not about money, it has, is and always will be about power. Wow that was actually B/W. Let me rephrase. I have hope for humanity. I love humanity but i am frustrated with the fact it keeps repeating fundamenatal mistakes. Humans ARE animals, and are suceptible to basic pathetic primal urges. I'm sorry but this is true. I really want the world to change. And if it takes a Private military /world domination scheme to do it then so be it. But we really need to change NOW.
Also, generally, yes, people want to die or consider suicide on an average of 1-5 times a year.
That actually sounded pretty black and white to me.
"A person is smart, people are dumb, change people."
You say that humans are animals, so it's only natural that they have 'primal urges' (or pathetic urges, as you wish to refer to them).
You continue to say that people have to change (for...no apparent reason at all), which in your eyes includes that people have their entire world views changed, and that a government force steals any sort of instinct that they have and turns it into a computerized thought processor.
It may not be what you said, but it's what's implied.
1) Welcome to the "I hate humans" bandwagon. If you look to your left, you see many angst ridden teenagers who feel the same as you, and if you look to your right, you'll see that
no one really gives a shit. It seems only popular nowadays for people to not accept humans as social animals. We are not meant to progress at a rate that is normally reserved for beings of myth. Were we to, I'm sure all stupidity and ignorance would be erased from humanity, right? Well, quite wrong indeed. Humans, as you said, are just pathetic animals. You can domesticate one generation but the next will be a different story. That, and, I don't really see why the world is in such drastic need of change, if we're talking specifically about human beings. Do you propose we elimate those with an IQ of less than 95?
2) "And if it takes a Private military /world domination scheme to do it then so be it."
You know, Hitler thoroughly believed that what he was doing was in the best interest of mankind, and that society would develop into a unified utopia or peace, splendor, and euphoria. I think I can safely say that it's not what happened. The UN won't gather around one day and say "You know...if someone tries to blow us all to Hell...why not? I'm tired."
3) No, Zero Punctuation is not a credible source. I don't care how funny you find him to be, he's a humourist. Don't even try to defend your using him as a citation. Actually, don't even try to defend yourself.
