Ape Escape, the original PSN title, I remember it being the first ever game that I played that used analog sticks and my god it fucked with my head so hard... (also apologies if someone already said it, thread is TLDR heh..)

Rise of Nations. Such an underated RTS. It might even be my allt ime favorite game. But no one else cares.

Yes! Although I'm not sure I had the same one as you, I played Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends.

Rise of Legends was a fantasy spin-off and was better then most people give it credit for. Both games were (and still are) great games.

Erm i can teven remember the name, it was an ancient game for mac where you play as a blue pill bug, you roll around and defeat frogs, fish, birds and eventually fire ants as a last boss.

EDIT: Bugdom! Great times, that game is at least 10 years old. Ive never met anyone who recognises it though.

This is one of 2 Megdrive cartridges I still own. This and Landstalker.

I also cast a vote for the arcade game Xain'D Sleena. 1986! Nobody seems to remember it because nobody really knew it even when it was out. If anyone remembers (and liked) it, you are my friend.

I know of some that haven't been mentioned here, so I will now:
Conquest: Frontier Wars (one of the first RTS games I ever played)
Terranigma (one of the first RPGs I ever played)
Factory: The Industrial Devolution (an old Mac game, but fun; I still remember the "oh no" sound it made when you screwed something up on the production line)
Mission: THINK (an educational game, but still fun, especially the board game part and sticking metal cats to the ceiling with magnets)

Never played Return to Krondor, but I still have fond memories of Betrayal at Krondor. All those Summer days wasted sitting in the basement with my brother and solving Moredhel chests and making fun of Owyn.

those chest traps were nasty! definitely one of the more memorable parts of the game. Jimmy the hand was a god among men in return. didn't play betrayal but i have the book so i know the storyline. too bad Raymond E Fiest didn't help make more games! those were good RPGs.

The Mystical Ninja games on the N64. The first one is a "Mario 64 meets Zelda 64" type of game, while the sequel is an old-school sidescroller more by the likes of Super Mario World. Both games had fun gameplay, amazing music, and (in the sequel's case) very challenging difficulty. However, the game was very Japanese, which alienated a good number of people. Nonetheless, they were awesome.

I remember playing an older version of this on the SNES called Legend of the Mystical Ninja. Never knew they made one for the N64.

I never really liked that game, for some reason. However, I have played its SNES sequels (Ganbare Goemon 2, 3, and 4, which were 100% in Japanese) and enjoyed them though I could only finish 2. While the third game was another "Mario meets Zelda," the others were your typical sidescrollers. Unfortunately, no translation patches exist for any of these games, as far as I know.

Robotech: Battlecry for Gamecube. Sure, it was *technically* a licensed game, but hell, you played the game as a goddamn robot that could turn into a jet or a half-robot half-jet thing. I always loved playing that game with friends.
