The Principality of Sealand [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principality_of_Sealand]

Even games set in Europe/Britain haven't included/featured it, and it could probably make for decent "king of the hill" gameplay (or a next installment of lemmings).

With the length CoD singleplayer campaigns has these days, I expect Black Ops to solely take place here. And still include 10 elaborate setpieces, 5 of which will include nukes.
Sealand is my new favorite place. I wonder if the immigration laws are anything like the Republic of Dave...

They probably are, so citizenship might be hard to get. They'll make you a proper Lady of Sealand though [http://www.sealandgov.org/]. For a price...

World War I. I've never seen a game that takes place in that time(except for flash games and flight simulators).

GTA in the roaring twenties? I think that would be a fantastic setting for the series.

As far as I can tell, there hasn't been a videogame set underground. There so much potential: Morlocks, Chuds, mining.... uh... Well, I'm sure others can think of any other things. :p

You know, I don't think I've seen any true 'SteamPunk' or 'ClockPunk' Video Games.
Why isn't Bioshock steampunk?
Because it's really Diesel Punk, SteamPunk has to take place in the Victoria Era which Bioshock doesn't.

a WW2 shooter where you playu as a German or Japanese
You see, that's unlikely, because you know from the get go that you're fighting for an asshole who's going to loose anways. If you survive you get to go in front of a court and say "MY SUPERIORS TOLD ME TO DO IT" and if not, there's that touching picture of your wife and kids some existentialist Ally prick will pick up and feel sorry for your horribly mutilated corpse over.

The Space Quest series doesn't count for the Janitor bit? Sure you save uncounted lives, but you're still a janitor.

Toy Soldiers kind of did it.

OT: I think it would be fucking sweet to have a game set in modern Tijuana where you were a drug cartel soldier and you had to go and fuck mother fuckers up and kidnap people for profit. That would be fucking awesome!

What about the Fable series?

in the 16th-17th century, a group of Pirates want to get the legendary treasure of the ancient Greek gods, but the only person who knew where the Gods can be found was an old Dutch trader who was killed in a raid by these very pirates. They learn that he has a son, who swore he would become the greatest fighter the world has ever seen and ever will see after a battalion of pirates slaughtered his father.
The Dutch trader taught his son everything he knew, including all the details of the treasure of the Greek gods-The pirates need to get the Dutchmans son to show them the way to the treasure, all while keeping up the masquerade thet they are not the pirates who killed the now-grown Son's father.

I stand corrected then. But I never played Gears of War, so I wouldn't know. :p
