Exactly. It's far too easy and convenient to simply think only "bad" people are responsible for bad things. Bad things are often caused by people who don't simply bother to go beyond the easy and convenient way of thinking. Heck, the vast number of BNP supporters aren't actually racists, just ignorant folk who bought into a xenophobic ideology because it offers simple, drastic solutions to their concerns about the EU, immigrants and muslims.
Having said that, though, in this case, arming yourself for the purpose of raping a woman in front of her father...the line is crossed too easily, but it's still there.
