I come across some good names at work, addressing letters to American children. There was one teacher's name that was Mr Ocock... terrible name for a teacher. Then the other day I had, in the same batch, a girl called Xena (which actually I rather like) and an eleven year old boy called - no word of a lie - LESTAT.

The Beckhams have aweful naming ideas every time Victoria and David have kids... Can't remember their names, but I can imagine the horrors for the poor things.
That would be Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. Not quite as bad as some (I'm looking at you, Bowie) but still fairly odd. Brooklyn is significantly worse than it looks though, as I seem to remember them saying they'd named him after where he was conceived. Not born - concieved. Imagine growing up knowing that. And knowing that everyone you meet probably knows it too. Poor kid.

I went to school with a kid named shithead.
Except the name was pronounced Shi-thead.... I'm sure everyone can guess what he was called instead.

One of my friend's named his daughter Crusher Destroyer Spicher (and last name), Looooooong before she was ever born. Her mother officially named her Avery (which is a really shitty brand of self-adhesive vinyl (You use it for window graphics and stuff), but everyone I know still calls her Crusher.

I know a guy who was almost named Valentine. His parents changed it to Jackson at the last minute. And...my younger brother tells me he knows someone named River.

And for manly names, there's always Staff Sgt. Max Fightmaster [http://www.cracked.com/article_14982_9-manliest-names-in-world.html].
