"Let's find a pair of rocks, and they'll be none the wiser."

"Heh, I certainly had never seen gryphon eggs until yesterday." He responds, while doing a quick check to ensure he had everything and it was all hidden away in its proper place.

They exit out the rear of the tavern through the kitchen, avoiding any of the patrons still in the main hall or those with only enough coin to sleep in the common room. The kitchen staff had long since retired after a grueling day under the seemingly new head chef for the evening. As they pass out the back-door, he places his one good hand lightly on her shoulder. "Now, I'll be right behind you even if you loose sight of me."

As setting sun gives way to night, the long casted shadows turn to inky black, giving ample areas for Vik'nar to all but disappear from sight. The house flying a red banner is simple enough to find as are a pair of rocks to serve as gryphon egg substitutes. Vik'nar watches from the shadows as she approaches the door, while looking for an possible ways to sneak in or simply ready to rush the door should need be.

It was too late to turn back now.

Not that she would've, even if she had the chance.

She knocked.

When he had heard Ellondra putting on her armor, he had silently but briskly walked back to his room and had exited from his window just as they had left from the back door. He had tailed them to their destination stealthly and now he stood a fair distance away concealed in the shadows watching as Ellondra knocked on the door.

He slipped on his claws and palmed a throwing knife. He wasn't hoping for a fight but he wasn't going to be caught out if one occured either.

The door opens slightly, and Ellondra is allowed access. As she slowly walks in, the door is quickly slammed and a man steps from behind it.

"Glad you could make it scou--"
The man stopped in his speech as his realized that it wasn't the scout from before.

Two men came up from the shadows, nothing else could be seen, no walls, not even furniture.
The men put a big piece of lumber over a holding on either side of the door, ensuring that it was impossible to break through.

The men looked quite well built and they had clubs in their hands.
The man who had greeted her, supposidly their leader, was carrying the same type of sword the guard at the gates from earlier had carried.

"What is the meaning of this?! Where is the scout? And who are you!?"

Her body was tense. Those weapons... She could attempt to block them with her bracer, but she'd end up with a shattered forearm.

And drawing now would only instigate them.

"He didn't make it down the mountain; we had to leave him behind. He said that if you take the eggs back to Herelden, we can retrieve him."

The sound of something heavy being braced against the door echoes out into the alley.

That's not good.

Vik'nar dashes up along side the house, looking for another way in and hoping Ellondra had her wits about her to talk her way out or at least keep them going long enough for him to sneak in.

---

Vik'nar had a plan if things sounded like they got any worse in there, although he was starting to doubt the sanity of this idea already. The meeting house was flanked on its left and right by more houses and they were extremely close together. He enters the house on the right by quickly oiling the hinges to a window and silently sliding it open, if there were any occupants in the house he is a ghost to them.

The meeting house was roofed in white tile with visible crack and wear all over. Tile roofs had a rigid structure that allowed for minimal support struts underneath, a fact Vik'nar planned to take advantage of. At the soonest sound of fighting he planned to leap across the small gap, crashing into one of the weak spots in the roof. A stealthy entrance it wouldn't be, but it should only be a short fall to the second story floor and the roof would slow his fall some.

Just a few more bruises, what's the worst that could happen? He regretted thinking that phrase almost instantly. He waited in absolute quite, waiting for the sound of steel on steel should the meeting come to a fight.

"You could break another arm" muttered Ra'ive as he drew with Vik'nar. He had thought it best to assist, especially because of Vik'nar's arm the way it was.

"When are we going in?" he continued, enjoying the feeling of sneaking up upon him.

Also, how the devil did you know Skaar was a half-bound? You have no evidence, no logical reason to assume so. Just 'cause he wears spooky armor doesn't mean he's a Demon
Does Warees need logic? I don't think so, the scary armor is enough for him to assume that whatever he's talking to is indeed scary.

That, and the picture you used had glowing eyes [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GlowingEyesOfDoom], which is never a good sign.

"Because if you do not walk away, little man, I will disembowl you. I will rip you limb from limb, and use the stumps of your arms as brushes to paint the walls of this tavern red with your blood." The words echoed in Warees' mind without warning, much to his own confusion. He hadn't be fully aware of what had just happened, nor was he paying any actual attention to what had been said, but something was certainly out of place here.

"...Anyone else 'ear that?" Warees asked, briefly looking back towards the (still conscious) patrons of the bar. A resounding "no" was their answer, with more eyes focused on the intoxicated berserker than on the one who messing with his head!

He shook his head, dismissing what had just happened as no more than as the result of his overactive imagination. Voices? In my head? Why, that's just absurd...

"Well. . . I'd like to see ya' try!" He boasted, a smile dancing on his lips. "I have slayed neigh on a hundred foes, I don' think I'd have an issue dealing with another!" And so, being overconfident, cocky and perhaps a tad stupid, Warees drew his claymore from its sheath, then pointed the massive sword towards Skaar. "Have at thee!

Where in Gaudan's hell did he come from? No time to think about it now though.

"I'll be fine." Ra'ive must have already grasped what his plan was. "It will be no more than 10 feet to the second story floor. If you know of a faster way in I am all ears, but I am going at the first sign of trouble."

The man grabbed the stones from Ellondra and threw one on the floor. As it made contact, it didn't break but instead just broke the floorboards and rolled a little away.

"As I thought!"
The two men suddenly grabbed Ellondra's arms and shoved a bag over her head.
One holding the feet, the other holding the head and shoulders (lol shampoo), they carried her up the stairs and into a remote room.

"Tie her down at the chair and get her ready! AND DON'T SPILL THE POISON THIS TIME! These things are dangerous AND costly!"

The man yelled as the two men closed the door.
The hallway consisted of two rooms, one end of the corridor was the stairs down, the other a wall.
Two candles fluttered around on the wall, revealing nothing but a carpet on the floor and the man standing there, holding a ledger and a quill.

Aww, don't I get to bust some heads in first or something?

"As I thought!"

And no sooner had his lips parted then her hand was on the hilt of her falchion; it was fresh from the blacksmith and razor-sharp. With both her hands behind it, one of the mens' bellies was split open--but that was the only strike she got off before she was restrained. When she raised it over her head, it was wrested from her.

Good luck not spilling that poison: she did not make the trip to the remote room simple. The brutes would be lucky to keep their holds on her, let alone escape without broken noses and jaws from her lashing fists and boots.

Ra'ive heard the crack of the rocks falling to the ground and looked at Vik'nar for confirmation. He got his confirmation from a mans load shout.

A spilt second after he had heard the shout he was mid air and hurtling towards the roof. He made sure to take the full impact with his left leg as he went crashing through the roof.

Once he landed he rolled to prevent any injury and sprung to his feet, facing the men in the room and waiting for either someone to make a move or for Vik'nar to show up.

The sounds of a scuffle and the words "... .... spill ... poison .... time!" can just barely be made out. Vik'nar gives Ra'ive a nod as they jump the short gap to the adjoining roof. He slams into the tiles with a crash. For a second it seems they might hold and he risks sliding off the side to the alley below, but the tiles buckle under the weight and splinter inward, depositing him in the house in a hail of tile and dust.

He's quickly up on his feet. Ow, I'll feel that tomorrow, but it doesn't feel like I broke anything this time. With a quick flash for steel he severs the restraints holding Ellondra to the chair.

Ellondra is cut free from her bonds, and the two men in the room spring their clubs to the ready.

Ellondra's sword is in its sheathe on the table next to a cabinet of poison.

Outside the door the man drops his quill and ledge and quickly springs to alert as he hears the crash.

"What in Gaudan's --?"
The man unsheathes his longsword and comes blazing through the door, adrenaline pumped and battle-ready.

Immediately she was on her feet. Lacking her sword, she used her hands: she'd gotten Ra'ive's head in her arms and had nearly snapped his neck before realizing who it was.

"What are you doing here?! ...Blast it, nevermind!"

Just save me one... She thought, joining the brawl.

Once Ra'ive was released from Ellondra's vice like death grip, he turned, palmed his remaining throwing knives and threw them full pelt at the legs of Mr Longsword.

One went wide but the others hit home, planting themselvs into the mans right thigh. He smiled as the man stumbled and fell to the ground with a thud. Once he was sure the Longsword man wasn't getting up he turned and focused his attention on the last two club weilding enemies, waiting for one to step forward and attempt to strike him.

Vik'nar and Ra'I've had the last two, she was sure of it... And that left her the leader that the elf had felled. Ellondra introduced her boot to his throat to keep him still and at her mercy.

"You've acted rashly this night. Be wise, and answer my questions--don't forget you've supplied me now with poisons and a grudge."

She glanced over her shoulder to see the last of the rebels dispatched.

"Do you have any other friends in town I ought know about? What of The Professional?"

It wasn't fluid or elegant, but as one of the assailants with a club tries to bring it down on his head, Vik'nar surges forward shoulder rushing him. Vik'nar's left shoulder jamming under his stops his downward stroke and the katar in his right hand strikes upwards catching him just under the rib cage.

The man slumps over to the ground clutching at the wound before shock sets in.

The man under Ellondra's boot smiled and gave a well-heartly laugh, much like he thought she was an immature child who fell on her behind.

"You really don't think that someone as low profile as that pathetic excuse for a villain, would actually have anything to do with what we are planning?"

A second later he moved his jaw in a weird angle, and a loud crashing sound was heard.
"You truly are blind!"
Was the last thing he said before he gurgled white foam and the pupils disappeared from their sockets.
