KILLSHOT! Also when does the rune guy come in?

Ra'ive looked into the eyes of one of the club men, silently willing him to make a mistake and attack. After a few tense moments he saw the mans weight shift to his right leg and the club rise. Without a seconds hesitation he shot in, placed his head next to the mans so that he could avoid the club should it come down and blasted both of his claws full pelt into the mans chest.

Once the man fell to the ground he walked past Ellondra and the now foaming Mr Longsword into the room from which he had emerged. On the floor he found a ledger, which he quickly picked up and placed inside the folds of his cloak.

"Did he say who he was working for?" said Ra'ive as he turned back towards Ellondra.

"Didn't say anything quite that useful, I'm afraid. Willing to go to great lengths for their treachery..."

Ellondra recovered her falchiond returned it to its sheath. It was no success... But the results were superior to the alternative of losing the gryphon eggs to villains.

"Vik'nar. All right?"

"I'll... live. I wouldn't mind a hand getting back to somewhere to lay down for the rest of the night though." Vik'nar manages a smile and is in high spirits despite being battered, broken and now battered again.

He mutters to himself. "Uhhh, why is it always falling."

All the other rooms in the house are completely empty, and in the poison cabinet are 2x Moundvines and 1x Black Lotus poison vials.

Dawn was four hours away and the wind was picking up.

In the ledger are over a dozen catagories with numbers, dates, money amounts and names, and often the same names would pop up again and again.

There is also an opened envelope with a letter.

Note:

A new supply of poison supplies will arrive with this. Once you have collected the vials, kill the messenger and stash his body in the cemetary.
The scout should arrive within the week. If anyone else arrives, question him and kill him, then stash him next to the messenger.
Everything should go as planned, and Calemdar's true master shall reign eternal once more.

Kaemon grant us paradise!

It's still the night where you went to bed. After they have returned to the tavern I will skip to the next day and continue with the story. Sorry for the confusion, I will post the current time of day in an OOC post whenever I can.

Ok, I'm still confused about the time of the day. Is it still the same day or is it the day after? Because I can post again if it's the day after. I am patient, I'm just a bit confused about that part.

Oh k sorry, anyway people that haven't join the user group! http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/chat/A-Kingdoms-Fate-RP-Group

Ra'ive walked up to Vik'nar and let himself be used as a impromptu crutch as they made their way back to the inn.

"So you still havn't explained to me why you both were here" he pretended to inquire because he doubted that either of them would be entirely pleased if they had learnt he had been evesdropping on their conversation.

"How about you first explain why you were follo....." Vik'nar trails off as he slumps into unconsciousness. A quick check will confirm that nothing is life threatening, just a lot of bumps and bruises with some fresh bumps and bruises on top of them.

So Vik'nar hasn't actually paid for a room yet, so please don't leave him lying in a ditch somewhere.

"What's happened?" Ellondra checked; just unconscious. "Here. Let's put him on my back. You can't carry him alone, and if I take his other arm it'll ruin the splint."

She had Ra'I've assist her, and once Vik'nar was properly positioned, she headed back toward the Inn. She entered through the back way, and continually glanced back to ensure the elf was behind her.

"Don't think I won't still question you."

Skaar chuckled ominously, a low, rumbling sound which bore not a trace of mirth. "You have sealed your fate." The voices whispered once more. The Death Knight grunted, a sickening snap ringing out in the air as he reached behind his back, drawing forth the Boneblade from his spine. He brought the grotesque, saw-toothed weapon out in front of him, it's wickedly serrated edge dripping with brackish blood. "All of you. Leave. Now." He barked at the other tavern-goers; he had no wish to involve civilians in what was about to happen.

"Come forward then, little man... come forth and face your End"

Ellondra arrives with Vik'nar at the inn, and Ra'ive followed suit.

Upon entering the inn, the Death Knight and the Berserker there seemed to be heading for a fight, both with their weapons drawn and ready to tackle eachother.

Sorry if I'm messing with timelines, lets just put this behind us! :D

The innkeeper noticed Ellondra and Ra'ive arrive, and bolted past them and called:
"I'm going to get the guards! You better just go to your rooms, I don't think you want to see what ends of that fight!"

The innkeeper was obviously terrified, and then added as he was nearing the end of the street:
"GRAB A ROOM KEY FROM THE DESK, I'LL CHECK ON YOU TOMORROW FOR PAYMENT!"

And then he was gone from sight, his wabbly, fat torso barely supported by his tiny legs.

The inn was a mess regarding interior, bar stools cracked, blood on the walls from the brawl, unconscious men lying on top of broken tables and cracked glass, the smell of wine and ale was sickening in the amount and state it was in; all over the place.

"Does Vik'nar have a place to stay? If not he can use my room, I've somewhere else I can stay" asked Ra'ive thinking maybe he could get some more time with Ai'dral before they headed off, especialy since his knee had begun aching again due to the fall.

"And you still have not told me why you were sneaking out in the middle of the night? A strange lovers retreat perhaps?" he continued, it was best to keep up appearences.

Vik'nar is phasing in and out of consciousness, vaguely aware that he passed out and is now being carried. Even when he's 'awake', he is not very well immediately aware of his surroundings - it all feels very much like a dream to him.

Mmmmm, something smells like fresh apples with cinnamon glaze. However at that exact moment the fog of his mind peels back and he becomes aware that he'd been admiring the scent of Ellondra's immaculately maintained curls, which his head is practically buried in. Luckily or unluckily for him, the blood rushing to his cheeks as he blushes red is enough to cause him to loose consciousness again, although not aware of how much of that was apparent to anyone else.

Ellondra watched the innkeeper flee with measured interest.

"Don't be ridiculous. I had a hunch... Vik'nar was kind enough to ensure I didn't literally lose my head. And you..." The sergeant frowned, having suspicions but no evidence. "...I'm thankful of your assistance."

She completely ignored the bar brawl; frankly, it was none of her business. And there was very little that could be done to change that at this point.

"Where's your room? Have you bandages?" she asked as she rounded the last flight of stairs. She deposited the sever-elf on the bed within the room he indicated and rubbed at her injured shoulder. "He's practically beat to pulp..."

Ra'ive ripped up some of his sheets, picked out the most bandageworthy and handed them to Ellondra.

"You think I would be as practical as to carry bandages?" he asked letting out a small laugh before straightening himself and leaning against a wall.

"So I guess it goes without saying we shall inform the king of this little occurence? What do you think he'll have us do?" he continued whilst filling his pipe with some Ceaweed.

The grin on Warees' face grew even wider once Skaar had challenged him, shifting from a weak grin to a full blown slasher smile. He had no fear of death; this fight would go in favor just as they always did. A demented, almost demonic cackle emitted from his mouth, free of any human thought; only insanity and animalistic rage fueled the laughter. Unsurprisingly, he ignored the call for the fight to end; giving up was for the weak.

"Very well then!" In a swift motion, Warees raised the sword into a striking stance, firmly grasping the blades with both hands. It appeared as though he was getting ready to make a quick strike downward and end the fight with a single fight, cleaving into the man's armor with ease and proceeding with his business, as any competent fight would.

This wasn't the case.

Instead, he did a brief spin on his toes, picking up pace as he span violently in circles and twirled about on his feet. The blade was held outward from his from, slicing through the air at dangerous speeds with enough force to cleave limbs, though horribly coordinated seeing as he was generally unaware of direction he was moving in.

Good god, the man's become a goddamn top!

"...I know not. We--" she paused, realizing the blame was on herself, "I failed to retrieve any information of merit from the damned traitors. But the implications are obvious: Tai Ogul's influence, even in the King's lands, is strong." Ellondra looked at the shreds of sheet and then rolled her eyes. Practically useless, certainly not sterile... But she supposed they'd have to do. "Hm. He must be feverish..." The back of her hand checked for his temperature, "Dampen a cloth with cold water, will you?"

The Sergeant set about treating the various scrapes and bruises Vik'nar had acquired with the remaining salve she'd bought for the same reason.

"So... You just happened to tumble down through the roof, did you, Ra'ive?"

"I was simply curious as to where you and Vik'nar were heading at such an hour and especially after you go to the trouble of using to back door" he replied as he dipped a cloth into his canteen and then handed it to Ellondra.

"After all my window is directly above the rear door and you aren't as quiet as you may think" he continued as he lit his pipe from one of the torches hanging from the walls.
